Biden trots out Harris to issue biting criticism of Israel & 'Inhumane' conditions in Gaza

President Biden has sent Vice President Kamala Harris out before the world to do his dirty work of desperately trying to reign Israel in as the US administration faces rising global criticism for its unwillingness to attach humanitarian conditions to weapons given to Israel for use in Gaza amid a soaring civilian death toll.

Harris has issued a call for a six-week ceasefire at a moment Israel is boycotting ceasefire talks in Cairo. Harris spoke Sunday in front of the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama - scene of state troopers beating civil rights marchers almost 60 years ago. Her comments on the Gaza crisis appear to be the most direct and biting criticisms yet from any Biden admin official aimed at Israel.

Comment: More from RT:
White House national security officials reportedly watered down a recent speech written for US Vice President Kamala Harris over fears that her prepared remarks about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza were overly critical of Israel.

The original draft of the speech was deemed too harsh on the Jewish state when it was sent to the US National Security Council for review, NBC News reported on Tuesday, citing unidentified officials in the Biden administration. The speech, which Harris delivered on Sunday, called for a six-week ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war as part of a proposed deal to free hostages and get more humanitarian aid into Gaza.

"The move to soften Harris' comments highlights how reluctant the White House still is to aggressively criticize Israel in public as President Joe Biden tries to maintain some influence over the Israeli government and secure a hostage deal," NBC said.

The soft-pedaling also comes at a time when Biden is campaigning for reelection and facing a political backlash over his administration's support for Israel in its war against Hamas. A poll released last week by research firm Data for Progress showed that 57% of US voters disapprove of Biden's handling of the Gaza crisis. Just 36% of respondents agree with his policies. Two-thirds of US voters support calling for a permanent ceasefire.

Prepared remarks for Harris originally pressed Israel more directly about the need to immediately allow additional aid trucks to get into the Palestinian enclave, NBC reported. The revisions primarily tweaked the tone of her speech, rather than making policy changes. A spokeswoman for the vice president denied that her speech had been toned down.

UK MP George Galloway explains why RT was banned: 'Too many people watched'

Britain's commitment to free speech is a farce, George Galloway has claimed

Fresh from his election to the British parliament, MP George Galloway spoke with RT on Tuesday about the state of media freedom in Britain and London's disastrous policies in the Middle East and Ukraine.

Galloway trounced both Tory and Labour candidates in last week's Rochdale by-election, winning twice as many votes than both major parties combined. PM Rishi Sunak denounced the result as "beyond alarming" and a threat to "our democracy itself."

As Galloway pointed out, however, he has been elected to Parliament a total of seven times - far more than Sunak or Labour leader Keir Starmer.

Western 'expertise' on the Ukraine conflict could lead the world to a nuclear disaster

explosion
© RT/RT
Pundits are completely out of touch with reality - which is why their views pose a danger to humanity...

In order to assess the professionalism of any expert, their initial statements and forecasts must be compared with the actual course of events.

In this sense, it's interesting that none of the predictions made by mainstream Western experts regarding the Ukraine conflict have come true - either in military, political, economic, or social terms. However, over the past two years, a trend has developed in the Western media: experts invent "previously unconsidered" circumstances to justify their initial blunders, issue new forecasts, and then explain why their latest predictions haven't come true either.

In short, it looks like the Western press is busy creating a fantasy alternative universe.

All of this would seem amusing, were it not for the fact that the world's biggest military and economic alliance is basing its policy on this nonsense, that hundreds of thousands of people have paid for it with their lives, and that nuclear war appears to be looming on the horizon.

Seizing Kiev in three days

Many will remember US officials' statements regarding Kiev from back in 2022: if Russia invades, the Ukrainian capital will fall within 72 hours. But few will remember the conditions that would supposedly make this possible: "Such an attack would leave 25,000 to 50,000 civilians dead."

Comment: The untampered truth is always in plain sight for those who choose to see.

Best of the Web: "Treason!" Bombshell report reveals Biden regime has secretly flown 320,000 illegals INTO the United States

A Freedom of Information Act lawsuit has revealed that the Biden administration has flown at least 320,000 migrants into the United States in an effort to reduce the number of crossings at the southern border, according to Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies, wrote:
"The program at the center of the FOIA litigation is perhaps the most enigmatic and least-known of the Biden administration's uses of the CBP One cellphone scheduling app, even though it is responsible for almost invisibly importing by air 320,000 aliens with no legal right to enter the United States since it got underway in late 2022."
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) had initially refused to disclose information about the flights, which use a cell phone app, CBP One, to arrange.

Bensman continues:
"Under these legally dubious parole programs, aliens who cannot legally enter the country use the CBP One app to apply for travel authorization and temporary humanitarian release from those airports. The parole program allows for two-year periods of legal status during which adults are eligible for work authorization."
The flights resulted in illegal immigrants being placed in at least 43 American cities from January through December 2023.

Trump the best hope for Ukraine peace - Hungary's FM

The conflict would not have broken out if the US Republican had been reelected in 2020, Hungary's Peter Szijjarto has claimed...

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is set to discuss the Ukraine conflict with former US President Donald Trump, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has said. Budapest believes the Republican presidential frontrunner is potentially the only person who can end the crisis, the diplomat added.

In an interview with RIA Novosti on Wednesday, Szijjarto said Orban and Trump would meet in Florida on March 8. The pair have maintained close ties for years, sharing similar views on border security, illegal immigration, and the Ukraine conflict.

"We would definitely like to discuss with [Trump] how to achieve peace in Ukraine and in the eastern part of Europe," Szijjarto stated. He argued that if Trump had been elected in 2020 instead of Joe Biden, the Ukraine conflict would not have broken out and the security situation in the Middle East - where Israel is engaged in a war with Hamas - would not be as dire.

Donald Trump takes a giant leap towards clinching the Republican presidential nomination over Nikki Haley, his last remaining GOP primary rival

Former President Donald Trump and President Biden are a giant step closer on Wednesday morning to a 2024 general election rematch, after the Republican and Democratic Party frontrunners ran the table on Super Tuesday as 16 states from coast to coast held presidential nominating contests.

"They call it Super Tuesday for a reason. This is a big one," Trump said in a primary night victory speech in front of a large group of supporters at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida. "This has been a day that we've been waiting for."

And looking ahead to his all-but-certain general election battle with Biden, Trump highlighted that "November 5th is going to go down as the single most important day in the history of our country."

Comment: War whore Haley finally gives it up:
The former two-term South Carolina governor who later served as U.N. ambassador in former President Donald Trump's administration on Wednesday morning announced "the time has now come to suspend my campaign."

[...]

Haley did not immediately endorse Trump, who is on course to clinch the GOP presidential nomination in the next week or two.

[...]

Trump took to his Truth Social platform in a posting as Haley's speech was wrapping up to take aim at his now former rival.

"Nikki Haley got TROUNCED last night, in record setting fashion," the former president touted.

Trump also said he'd "like to invite all of the Haley supporters to join the greatest movement in the history of our Nation."

Retired US Army colonel sounds alarm over new bill that would grant citizenship to illegal migrants that join military

Colonel Douglas MacGregor

A retired US Army colonel has slammed proposals for a new law that would allow vetted and qualified migrants an expedited path to citizenship by serving in the military.

Former Colonel Douglas MacGregor described the new bill, introduced by Hudson Valley Congressman Pat Ryan, as a 'problem' stemming from the 'ideological bubble' of Washington.

McGregor, a former senior advisor to the secretary of defense, told Tucker Carlson Uncensored the so-called 'Courage to Serve' bill is a plan to 'find people with no connection to the American people, arming them and sending them out to oppress us.'

The US is reportedly in discussions with the UK and Australia about inviting Japan to take part in weapons development under the AUKUS security partnership, outlet Nikkei Asia claimed on Saturday, citing US officials.

An official announcement of the partnership is expected to be made during Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida's visit to Washington next month, the outlet claimed, noting that Japan would be the first country invited to work with the trilateral AUKUS military technology sharing framework established in 2021 by Australia, the UK, and the US.

The report stressed that there are currently no talks about Japan becoming a formal member of the group and its participation is set to be limited to a very specific project tied to the development of cutting-edge defense technologies under the bloc's so-called Pillar 2.

Ministers failed to consider long-term pain of lockdown, say scientists

Boris Johnson covid lockdown
The Government did not pay sufficient attention to the long-term collateral damage of lockdowns, a majority of British scientists surveyed believe.

A wide-ranging survey conducted by The Telegraph and Censuswide shows that nearly seven in ten (68 per cent) academics believe more consideration should have been given to the fallout caused by shutting down the country.

The views are in stark contrast to the public discourse at the height of the pandemic, when only a few dissenting scientific voices spoke out to highlight the health and economic risks from lockdowns.

EU ambassadors should be kicked out - former Russian president

The diplomats must be punished for refusing to meet with the country's foreign minister, Dmitry Medvedev has said.

Ambassadors from European Union member states should be expelled from Russia, former President Dmitry Medvedev has said, citing their refusal to discuss election meddling with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"Ambassadors of the EU states to Russia declined a meeting with the Russian minister of foreign affairs. Allegedly, following some advice from Brussels," Medvedev wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday. "This goes totally against the very idea of [the] existence of diplomatic missions and assignments of ambassadors."
