French MPs call for installing CCTV in slaughterhouses after gruesome video goes viral - report

France animal slaughter
France's National Assembly has issued a report calling for 65 measures to be introduced at abattoirs to improve transparency and remove "inadequate controls" at the facilities. The measures will include setting up CCTV cameras.

The report contains 225 pages, French Le Monde newspaper has reported.

Installing video cameras was among the measures proposed, with the deputies saying the step was needed to monitor animals' welfare and not workers.

Another move would be to provide more qualified veterinarians at the facilities, in particular during stunning and killing.

The report was first commissioned in March, but comes after a shocking video was released of a slaughterhouse, containing all the gory details of the killing of the animals there.

India and Pakistan relations have deteriorated sharply - accusations of proxy war over Kashmir region

In the aftermath of the attack on the Indian army base in Kashmir, Pakistan has been accused of conducting a proxy war.

Planned terrorist attack

Yesterday there was an armed attack on the base of the 12th Infantry Battalion of the Indian Army in the town of Uri. 17 soldiers were killed. In return fire, all four attackers were eliminated.

The representative of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF), Vikash Chandra, also said that previously was in influx of about 200 militants from Pakistan , who are involved in the growth of violence in the region.

Indian authorities blamed the terrorist group "Jaish-e-Mohammad" for this attack, which operates from Pakistan. In January 2016, members of the organization conducted an attack on the Indian Air Force base at Pathankot. Deputy Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Nirmal Singh said that "It is a proxy war. A country, that is, Pakistan, is focusing on how to disrupt Jammu and Kashmir".

Comment: Given that both India and Pakistan are nuclear powers, this is a worrying development.

AlJazeera
Lieutenant General Singh said that Sunday's attack bore the hallmarks of Pakistan-based armed group Jaish-e-Mohammed. Evidence gathered at the scene indicated the attackers were foreign and their equipment bore Pakistani markings, he told Reuters news agency.

In an even stronger response, Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted: "Pakistan is a terrorist state and should be identified and isolated as such."
RFE/RL
Pakistan has hit back after India accused it of masterminding a deadly militant attack in Indian-administered Kashmir.

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said on September 19 that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had written letters to the five permanent members of the UN Security Council regarding "grave human rights violations" being perpetrated by Indian security forces in the Himalayan region.

Obama's delusional speech at UN General Assembly: America is superpower for looking beyond its interests

© RT
In his final address to the UN General Assembly, President Barack Obama praised the US for observing the interest of other countries, criticized those who do not, called for better trade agreements like TPP, and mentioned fight against ISIS in passing.

Putting colonialism and communism in the same basket, Obama said that their demise gave more people a choice and increased the number of democracies. He compared the "wasteland" of North Korea to South Korea, as proof that command economy doesn't work, but did not mention years of US and UN sanctions against North Korea.

He called on advanced economies to do more to close the gap between rich and poor nations, but warned that helping undeveloped countries out of poverty ought to take a back seat to fighting climate change.

Protecting America's children from the police state

When an opponent declares, 'I will not come over to your side,' [Hitler] said in a speech on November 6, 1933, "I calmly say, 'Your child belongs to us already... What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community.'"—As reported by historian William L. Shirer

It's not easy being a parent in the American police state.

Danger lurks around every corner and comes at you from every direction, especially when Big Brother is involved.

Out on the streets, you've got the menace posed by police officers who shoot first and ask questions later. In the schools, parents have to worry about school resource officers who taser teenagers and handcuff kindergartners, school officials who have criminalized childhood behavior, school lockdowns and terror drills that teach your children to fear and comply, and a police state mindset that has transformed the schools into quasi-prisons.

In your neighborhoods, you've got to worry about the Nanny State and its network of busybodies turning parents in for allowing their children to walk to school alone, walk to the park alone, play at the beach alone, or even play in their own yard alone.

And now in the last refuge for privacy—one's home—parents are being put through the grinder, their actions scrutinized and judged by government goon squads armed with outrageous, overreaching, egregious laws that subject families to the hyped-up, easily offended judgment of the Nanny State.

The latest slap in the face comes from the Arizona Supreme Court whose 3-2 ruling in Arizona v. Hollepaves the way for parents to be charged as child molesters or sexual abusers for such innocent acts as changing their children's diapers or taking baths with their kids.

I kid you not. This is really happening.

As Chief Justice Bales wrote in his dissent:
Parents and other caregivers who have changed an infant's soiled diaper or bathed a toddler will be surprised to learn that they have committed a class 2 or 3 felony. They also will likely find little solace from the majority's conclusion that although they are child molesters or sex abusers under Arizona law, they are afforded an "affirmative defense" if they can prove by a preponderance of the evidence that their touching "was not motivated by a sexual interest." Such a defense, as the majority notes, does not mean that a crime has not occurred, but instead that the miscreant may avoid "culpability" by persuading the factfinder that the "criminal conduct" should be excused.
Now the court is not fully to blame for this idiotic ruling.

That prize goes to the well-meaning idiots in the Arizona legislature who drafted legislation that criminalizes any contact between an adult and a child's genitals, whether or not improper sexual intent was involved.

Who's Obama's boss and why it matters

Here is another question that has the same answer: who is in charge of destroying economies? Who keeps pushing new economy-destroying trade treaties, like the upcoming TPP? Who is in the business of killing jobs and hope? Who demands that these treaties must be ratified? Who is breathing down Obama's neck, as he stages a last-ditch effort to ratify the TPP and further bury US sovereignty under the weight of global corporations? Who demands that more US jobs disappear overseas and never come back?

One group has been virtually forgotten. Its influence is enormous. It has existed since 1973. It's called the Trilateral Commission (TC). Keep in mind that the original stated goal of the TC was to create "a new international economic order."

In the run-up to his inauguration after the 2008 presidential election, Obama was tutored by the co-founder of the Trilateral Commission, Zbigniew Brzezinski. Four years before birthing the TC with his boss of bosses, David Rockefeller, Brzezinski wrote:
"[The] nation state as a fundamental unit of man's organized life has ceased to be the principal creative force. International banks and multinational corporations are acting and planning in terms that are far in advance of the political concepts of the nation state."
Goodbye, separate nations.

Any doubt on the question of TC goals is answered by David Rockefeller himself, the founder of the TC, in his Memoirs (2003):
"Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure—one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."

Comment: Chances are there are even deeper layers than this. Whom did they pick for this upcoming election carefully constructed delusion? Chances are we know. However, the best laid plans may require an emergency uptick in 'events' to bring about the desired PTB results. The puppet masters have always been in charge. This election is no different.

A good cause or hidden agenda? George Soros to invest $500 million in help for refugees

Syrian refugees
© Alkis Konstantinidis | Reuters
Billionaire investor George Soros pledged on Tuesday to invest up to $500 million in programs and companies benefiting migrants and refugees fleeing life-threatening situations.

Announced against the backdrop of an ongoing United Nations (U.N.) summit in New York, Soros explained that he wished to harness the power of the private sector for public good.

"We will invest in startups, established companies, social impact initiatives, and businesses started by migrants and refugees. These investments are intended to be successful. But our primary focus is to create products and services that truly benefit migrants and host communities," the 86-year-old said in an official statement.

"I hope my commitment will inspire other investors to pursue the same mission."

Comment: No mention that perhaps stopping the conflicts in the world would be more useful. Soros wouldn't dare place his money on that idea.

US provoking Russia into WWIII

Washington made another attempt to escalate the conflict in Syria on Saturday. The consequences may be dramatic: the Syrian-Iraqi crisis is turning into the a new World War with a potential nuclear response from Russia or the US.

The US air force's attack [on] the pro-government troops of Syria at Deir ez-Zor resulted in 63 soldiers dead, and about 100 wounded. It is important to note that when the US attacks ISIS, the number of dead and wounded people were only ever in the dozens. After these attacks, the ISIS troops started an offensive operation that caused a fierce battle in the regions where humanitarian assistance had been brought.

Russia initiated the emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. The representative of the Foreign Affair Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that "we have come to the terrible conclusion that the White House is defending the Islamic State." After keeping silent for a long time, the Pentagon announced that it had been a mistake. The statement, published by the US military department, said the US military forces had coordinated their actions with Russia. It mentioned too that they often contact the Russian headquarter[s] out of "professional courtesy," even though the current US-Russian memorandum of understanding on air safety doesn't demand it.

Russian Foreign Ministry announced that the US threatens the whole of the reached agreement.

Comment: The timing element of the election with the sudden uncertainty of a Killary win forces the US' hand, necessitating a premature pivot point. If the Killary presidency evaporates, the PTB may very well be scrambling to goad Russia into war. The above analysis, though speculative, has a scary viability.

The West can't keep up: Obama calls on China to tackle overproduction

US President Barak Obama has urged China to do more to tackle the problem of excess industrial capacity.

In recent months, China has been criticized of not doing enough to address overproduction, particularly in the steel industry. Chinese firms have also been accused of unfair trade practices in overseas markets such as dumping products at low prices.

Earlier this year, the European Union Chamber of Commerce President Joerg Wuttke said, "Although the Party's annual Central Economic Work Conference has listed addressing overcapacity as a priority every year from 2007 to 2015, fundamental changes have not yet taken place."

In April, Beijing promised to reduce steel output.

Comment: The West cries foul when Chinese industry has become more efficient. The corporations just want to keep a bigger piece of the pie.

Wannabe Darth Jr. Mike Pence: I'd model my vice presidency after Dick Cheney

Mike Pence, dickhead cheney
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence said his vice-presidential role model would be Dick Cheney.

"I frankly hold Dick Cheney in very high regard in his role as vice president," Pence said when asked in an interview with ABC that aired on Sunday who his vice-presidential role model would be.

Donald Trump's running mate asserted that he would be "a very active vice president" like Cheney, who served under President George W. bush.

The governor said that he respected how Cheney channeled his own experiences as a member of the House of Representatives to help push through pieces of legislation.

Why they need us: New armed anti-terrorism police on Britain's streets labeled 'PR stunt'

Plans to deploy more armed police officers to shopping centers and tourist attractions around Britain are being dismissed as an "anti-terror PR stunt" that overlooks "proper policing work" needed to combat a terrorism threat.

Essex Police and Kent Police both confirmed they will be sending armed police officers geared up with guns and Tasers to sites including Bluewater and Lakeside shopping centers, Canterbury cathedral, the Port of Dover and Southend Airport.

The forces stressed there was no intelligence to suggest a direct threat, but said extra patrols would ensure they were "adequately prepared."

"We want the public to know what we're doing to protect them and not to panic if they see officers with firearms or Tasers on patrol," Kent Deputy Chief Constable Paul Brandon said.

Comment: "We need to send a message of why they need us!"
