Russia agrees to sell S-400s to India, delivery could begin in 2020

Delivery of Russia's most advanced anti-aircraft defense system, the S-400 Triumph, to India could begin in 2020 according to an agreement signed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the BRICS summit in India.

"An intergovernmental agreement has been signed today, under which the Russian side has undertaken to deliver S-400 [to India]," head of the Russian state-owned defense and technology giant Rostec Sergey Chemezov told reporters on the sidelines of the BRICS summit on Saturday.

"We will then start preparing the contracts and I hope that in the first half of 2017 we will complete and sign these contracts and the production will start. I believe the delivery will begin somewhere in 2020," he added.

Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said the agreement on S-400 delivery is highly important as it shows Russia's willingness to strengthen strategic partnerships with its main allies.

"S-400 it is our newest system. We are currently equipping our own military forces with it and we are making an exception only for our closest allies, such as India and China.

"The fact that we have reached agreements with both India and China [regarding S-400 delivery] shows a lot. It shows that Russia exports its most advanced technologies to the countries it trusts, with which it is building strategic partnerships," he stressed, mentioning Russia's agreement on S-400 exports with China, the first foreign buyer of the system. That deal was announced in the spring of 2015. According to media reports, the transaction amounted to about $3 billion.

Groups that advocate for women's rights are lashing out at Donald Trump for allegations of groping women and bragging about sexual assaults.

But some of those same groups did not think former President Bill Clinton's allegations of sexual misconduct nearly two decades ago were disqualifying in the same way.

At least three women - Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones and Kathleen Willey - accused Clinton of unwanted sexual advances. Another five, including White House intern Monica Lewinsky, said they had had consensual affairs with him. Clinton was impeached on charges of lying about the Lewinsky affair before a grand jury and of obstruction of justice, but was acquitted and served his full presidential term.

Women's groups largely stayed supportive.

"Feminists have, all along, muffled, disguised, excused and denied the worst aspects of the president's behavior with women," said a lengthy Vanity Fair article from 1998.

"Feminism sort of died in that period," New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd told Yahoo recently. "Because the feminists had to come along with Bill Clinton's retrogressive behavior with women in order to protect the progressive policies for women that Bill Clinton had as president."

George Soros' Open Society Foundation hired a consulting firm to evaluate members of the European Parliament, in an effort to gauge support for the foundation's core "values" until the end of their tenure in 2019.

Here are the "mapping" results of The Open Society Foundation's study, into how much influence it wields in the European Parliament.

The mapping results of the study entitled "Reliable Allies in the European Parliament (2014-2019)", reveal that Sweden tops all lists, as the country most loyal to the core values of billionaire George Soros.

How loyal are Swedish MEPs to the policies of Soros, which to name a few are open borders, regime change wars, and banker profiteering? 13 of 20 Swedish MEPs (equivalent to 65 percent) were classified as "loyal allies."

The list of Swedish Soros cronies includes representatives of both left and right parties, further confirming what we all knew...globalist corruption knows no political spectrum.

In a speech detailing why the US public should not be voting Trump, President Obama flubbed his facts about Vladimir Putin, who he decided was "the former head of the KGB". To set the record straight, Putin was never the boss of the Soviet spies.

Standing on a podium over a crowd of Ohioans, Obama delivered his speech, detailing why one should not vote for The Donald. For example, because of his alleged support of Russia's leadership.

"You're the party that is tough on foreign policy and opposes Russia, and then you nominate this guy, whose role model is [Russian President] Vladimir Putin, the former head of the KGB? I'm sorry, what happened?" Obama said.


Comment: So what's the point? He must have forgotten about Bush senior who was director of Central Intelligence before becoming president.

The latest video, however, is more than just a public relations embarrassment. For the Israeli government to commission and publish an explicit rejection of Palestinian identity, history, and presence in the land highlights a more disturbing political context

A new video published by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has prompted ridicule and accusations of distorted history and racism. The clip, presented by officials as a short history of the Jewish people, was made by an Israeli production company on behalf of the Israeli government, as part of the latter's PR efforts.

The concept is straightforward enough: a Jewish couple - Rachel and Jacob - live in a comfortable modern home that represents the "Land of Israel". The pair then experience a series of "invasions" by the likes of the Assyrians, Babylonians, Romans, Crusaders and Ottoman Empire. Finally, the British Empire arrives, to announce that their home is finally theirs - before, right at the end, two Palestinians appear at the door.

The video has been rightly criticized for its historical inaccuracies and racist caricatures: the Jewish couple remain in suburban jeans-ware throughout while, as critics have pointed out, "portraying non-Jews over 3,000 years of history as primitive barbarians" in stereotypical dress. Nor does it do any favors to Jewish history, depicting Jews as entirely passive, and entirely ignoring the existence of Jewish communities around the world.


Comment: For the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians to be successful, Israel must continue to revise history - even contemporary history - so that their policies will be readily accepted, justified and seem logical among those who might otherwise question their acts of barbarism. But then again, there is a whole percentage of Israelis (and non-Israelis) who, of course, do not require slick commercials for Zionism coming out of Israel's Ministry of Propaganda to convince them that Zionism can do no wrong, and the Jews of Israel "the chosen people".

Lawmakers from Belgium's French-speaking region of Wallonia voted against the EU-Canada trade deal (CETA) on Friday, threatening to derail the long delayed agreement.

Wallonia's leader Paul Magnette said he would not allow the government to sign the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

"I will not give powers to the federal government, and Belgium will not sign CETA on October 18," Magnette told an emergency session of the regional parliament.

Belgium's federal government favors the pact but by law Brussels needs the backing of all seven regional, linguistic and federal entities.

On October 17th, EU foreign ministers will hold a meeting which, as The Wall Street Journal reports citing European diplomatic sources, will consider the possibility of imposing new sanctions on Russia over the conflict in Syria. Such would mean targeted sanctions against Russian officials and including them on the sanctions list on which the EU has put the Syrian leadership.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the adoption of a new package of anti-Russian sanctions had been discussed earlier by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her entourage. Madame chancellor also issued public statements in which she called for Russia to be "punished" for its crimes in Syria.

Deputes from Northern Italian regions, who are currently in Crimea, have stated that sanctions policies are a tool from the 18th century. Nevertheless, the US and EU are obviously still making wide use of this tool. The policy of diplomatic restrictions and economic "punishment" is rather primitive and archaic, but is obviously still preferable to a frontal military confrontation with such a nuclear superpower as Russia. The Americans have a wealth of experience in effectively using political and economic tools to punish recalcitrant countries. An example of this is Iran, against whom a sanctions regime was in place for decades until being lifted only recently.

"People don't trust Hillary Clinton, and no one can agree on why," begins a sympathetic piece on the Democratic Party presidential candidate in Fast Company last July. In a CNN poll that same month, only 30 percent of Americans believed Clinton to be "honest and trustworthy."

If voters don't know what to make of Clinton or how to read her, the blame may lie directly with the candidate herself. In an April 2013 speech made public by WikiLeaks last week, Clinton confided:
Politics is like sausage being made. It is unsavory, and it always has been that way, but we usually end up where we need to be. But if everybody's watching, you know, all of the back room discussions and the deals, you know, then people get a little nervous, to say the least. So, you need both a public and a private position.
That last 'public vs. private' comment quickly made the media rounds, and confirmed - for her critics - Clinton's deliberate duplicity on a number of policy positions.

WikiLeaks has provided an opportunity to delve into some of these, so let's take a look at one very prominent feature of Clinton's foreign policy agenda: Syria, a country that stands at the center of a potential global confrontation today.

Christopher Miller is a reporter at RFE/RL, the US state broadcaster, which is controlled by the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG).

You might remember them as the guys who believe RT is a massive threat to civilization (read Western control of the airwaves), despite the fact that this network's budget is about a third of their own.

With all the largesse enjoyed by the BBG, it's always been curious as to how RT manages to achieve around 74 times more monthly visits (103 million, according to similarweb) ) than RFE/RL.org can boast (1.4 million, but their Russian language Svoboda.org can claim 8.3 million) However, things became a little clearer this week, when it emerged that Miller, the American network's main man in Kiev, apparently doesn't understand some basic tenets of journalism. Like how to conduct a good old-fashioned scoop, for instance.

Miller was so shocked at RT's ability to produce an exclusive story before mainstream outlets that he seems to believe that only collusion with the source - in this case WikiLeaks - would explain it. Of course, that fits with a long-term angle from western conspiracy theorists which suggests that the whistleblowing agency works hand-in-hand with the Kremlin. This is despite WikiLeaks releasing lots of negative stuff about Russia and its government, such as completely unverified allegations about the President's wealth - something that's essentially ignored by the popular press because it doesn't fit the neat little narrative box.
