British spy agencies broke privacy rules by secretly and illegally collecting massive amounts of UK citizens' confidential personal information for more than 10 years, top judges have ruled.

Responding to a complaint brought by Privacy International, the Investigatory Powers Tribunal (IPT) has ruled that the collection of bulk personal data - conducted by GCHQ, MI5 and MI6 between 1998 and 2015 - was unlawful.

It ruled that surveillance of individuals' phone and web use had been taking place without adequate safeguards or supervision for more than a decade.

It also says some instances of data collection were in breach of Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), which ensures all citizens have the right to a private life and that any interference with personal data must be lawful and necessary.

The Russian State Duma will demand explanations from the UK authorities regarding the decision to block accounts of the RT broadcaster, Sergei Zheleznyak, a member of the committee on international affairs, said Monday.

Following Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan's statement on Twitter earlier in the day, RT UK said it had been informed by the National Westminster Bank that it "will no longer provide" banking arrangements with the broadcaster.
"We shall demand an explanation from the official UK authorities in relation to this situation. We shall help the [RT] team to defend its legal rights. We shall also demand that international organizations - the United Nations, the Council of Europe as well as international rights and journalism communities, clarify their stances on the issue," Sergei Zheleznyak said.
RT UK added that National Westminster Bank said its parent organization Royal Bank of Scotland Group would refuse to service the broadcaster without "any discussion."

German Foreign Minister: New sanctions against Russia do nothing to help Syrian civilian population

Germany's foreign minister doesn't believe that possible new sanctions against Russia are the correct way to help people in war-torn Syria. The EU meeting which gathered to talk the restrictive measures did not approve any of them, but did accuse Russia and Syria of possible war crimes.

"Since the beginning of the offensive by the regime and its allies, notably Russia, the intensity and scale of the aerial bombardment of eastern Aleppo is clearly disproportionate," the EU foreign ministers said in a statement after talks finished in Luxembourg on Monday.

"The deliberate targeting of hospitals, medical personnel, schools and essential infrastructure, as well as the use of barrel bombs, cluster bombs, and chemical weapons, constitute a catastrophic escalation of the conflict ... and may amount to war crimes."

Comment: The West continues to blame the attacking of civilians and critical infrastructure in Syria on Russia and the Assad government while the fact is that it's the West and its proxy army ISIS that is behind those attacks. The EU foreign ministers are correct in that those actions are war crimes, but it's their bosses in the American Empire that are responsible for those actions.

Nonetheless, the EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said Brussels does not seek to apply more sanctions to Russia over its role in Syria. "This has not been proposed by any member state," Mogherini said before the meeting.

How Hillary's health problems make her unfit for the presidency

Among all the recent WikiLeaks email dumps, perhaps the most important one of all has been overlooked by the mainstream media.

In it, Neera Tanden, Hillary Clinton's longtime political guru, warned campaign manager John Podesta not to raise the question of primary opponent Bernie Sanders' health because it would draw unwanted attention to the hidden truth about Hillary's health.

Comment: The bad health thing had Killary's campaign wonks in a tizzy early on.

Breitbart
Several messages in the latest Wikileaks dump of John Podesta's emails show Hillary Clinton's campaign planning to "control" discussion about her taxes and her health, which campaign manager Robby Mook describes as "hyper sensitive" topics.

Mook writes to campaign chairman Podesta, asking if he had brought up these issues with Clinton, in March of 2015 — before the official announcement of her intention to run for president.
[...]
Schwerin proposes giving establishment news outlets some embargoed information on the physician's [Lisa Bardack's] letter, writing: "We expect the stories that pop at 2 pm to have headlines such as 'CLINTON IN 'EXCELLENT HEALTH,' MEDICAL RECORDS SAY' ... 'CLINTON RELEASES HEALTH REPORT' ... 'CLINTON CAMP AIMS TO ONE-UP BUSH IN DISCLOSING FINANCES'."

He says that once reporters do a deeper dive on Clinton's tax releases, they may write more negative headlines, but the campaign's proactive disclosure strategy will have given them the "best possible, 'fighting' chance of promoting the most helpful" narratives.
[B]ased on the framing performed in the earlier rounds of stories, we will have given ourselves the best possible, "fighting" chance of promoting the most helpful storylines (i.e., the superlative of being the first candidate to release her health records, the Clintons' high effective tax rate, their call for a more progressive tax code that asks wealthy individuals like themselves to pay more, the heightened transparency of HRC's tax returns as compared to Jeb's, etc).
Podesta asks Mills for a copy of the doctor's letter; this attachment is not yet seen in the emails Wikileaks has released.

"Hard to think of anything more counter-productive than demanding Bernie's medical records," Mr. Tanden emailed Mr. Podesta, according to an email obtained by WikiLeaks from Mr. Podesta's personal inbox.

Until the publication of my new book, Guilty As Sin, the truth about Hillary's health has been her campaign's closest guarded secret.

Her physician, Dr. Lisa Bardack, has said that Hillary is fit as a fiddle, but according to my sources in the White House, that is not what President Obama and his senior adviser, Valerie Jarrett, believe.

Mr. Obama and Ms. Jarrett have been so worried about Hillary's health that they recently offered to arrange a secret medical checkup for her at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Saudi Arabia stands for cessation of hostilities in Yemen after talking to Kerry

Riyadh is willing to achieve the cessation of hostilities in Yemen shattered by a continued armed conflict, Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Adel Jubeir said Monday.

"Saudi Arabia wants cessation of violence in Yemen," Jubeir was quoted as saying by the Al Ekhbariya broadcaster. He clarified that Saudi Arabia was ready to accept a ceasefire if the Houthi rebels, backed by Iran, joined a ceasefire deal.

According to the foreign minister, after a number of failed attempts to reach truce in Yemen, he was not optimistic that peace could reign there. "There are signs that both parties to the conflict may agree to establish a ceasefire," Jubeir noted.

Comment: Saudi Arabia doesn't really seem to be sincere - they bombed a funeral killing over 400 people right after the Houthis said they were ready for ceasefire deal: UN envoy for Yemen says Houthis agree to 3-day ceasefire, will Saudi Arabia follow suit?

Comment: With the Houthis making incursions into Saudi Arabia and now pressure from the US navy on Yemen, a ceasefire is much needed because of the dire humanitarian crisis. Yemen wants UN intervention to end Saudi war

No reply: Russia's UK ambassador demands proof over Boris Johnson's Syria accusations

The Russian ambassador to the UK is demanding proof of "deliberate strikes against civilians" in Syria, after UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson demanded Russian President Vladimir Putin stop "puppeteering" Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Russian Ambassador to the UK Alexander Yakovenko said in a statement that while he too is concerned over the "humanitarian situation" in Aleppo, the fight against terrorism is Russia's top priority.

"We have been working hard with the United States within the framework of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG), as well as on a bilateral basis in order to ensure a sustainable ceasefire and transition to a political settlement in Syria," said Yakovenko.

"All of this was being done on the basis of the principles enshrined in the documents of the ISSG and endorsed by the UNSC Resolution 2254, which emphasizes the need to 'prevent and suppress terrorist acts committed specifically by Islamic State [IS, formerly ISIS, ISIL], Al-Nusra Front and all the other individuals, groups, undertakings, and entities associated with Al-Qaeda or ISIL, and other terrorist groups, as designated by the Security Council', and that 'the ceasefire will not apply to offensive or defensive actions against these individuals, groups, undertakings, and entities.'

"We are committed to the fight against terrorism, and will not 'run out of road.'"

As U.S. Presidential race heats up, West's establishment cracks down

keyboard with handcuffs censorship graphic
Cutting off of Julian Assange's internet link, closure of RT bank accounts, murder of Motorola in Donbass, and firebombing of Trump regional office, all point to growing atmosphere of intolerance.

The current American election is the most important in history, it has already become the most vicious in history, and now it looks as though it is becoming the most violent in history.

In the last twenty-four hours, four global events took place which demonstrate the horrors to come if Hillary Clinton is elected. The events may or may not be proximately related, but they each represent a salvo in Hillary Clinton's wars.

These are wars which she and her political allies have already declared. In this sense we are living in a kind of 'night of the long knives' where she and the faltering establishment she so defends will do anything to stop what they perceive as their adversaries.

Any questions? Hillary Clinton gets huge ISIS Al-alwani endorsement

Hillary Clinton with ISIS
Al-alwani threatened anyone who would vote for Donald Trump, calling them "infidels" and "goat f—-ers".

The video has since been taken down by Youtube, but ISIS's number two terrorist, Amadh Abu Makmud Al-alwani threw his hat into the US election cycle, by endorsing Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump.

Al-alwani, put up the video this week following the second presidential debate. In the clip, the wanted terrorist pleaded with American Muslim voters to support Hillary Clinton...in what can only be described as the most twisted and bizarre presidential endorsement we have seen to date.

YouTube was quick to act and removed the video two hours after it was uploaded.

Comment: It doesn't get any clearer than this who supports ISIS.

RT's bank accounts frozen, Assange's Internet cut in apparent move to silence West's critics

In a major development being described as a brutal blow to free speech, RT — the Russian outlet formerly known as Russia Today — has now found its bank accounts allegedly blocked by the U.K.

"Our accounts in Britain have been blocked," tweeted RT's editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan Monday morning. "All of them. 'Decision not to be discussed'. Hail to freedom of speech!"

According to RT, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said London abandoned any obligations to free speech when it moved to exit the European Union, as clearly evidenced in the inexplicable move by The National Westminster Bank.

Clinton News Network issues edict: 'Illegal for Americans to access Wikileaks database'

CNN scare america wikileaks
The mainstream media's thought police are no longer hiding their movements as they patrol what readers can and cannot read, possess, or access. Chris Cuomo now even says as much.

The high society's veteran news anchor of the Cable News Network, which many critics jokingly refer to as the "Clinton News Network," told viewers Wednesday, "Remember, it's illegal to possess these stolen documents," he said referencing Wikileaks' latest hacked emails, apparently trying to scare the general public away from searching Wikileaks' database.

The stern warning coming from Cuomo no longer disguises what the mainstream media has been doing for decades; control information to which viewers and readers have access. Cuomo continued, "It's different for the media, so everything you learn about this (latest Wikileaks' revelations) you're learning from us."

But don't hold your breath at the notion reporters like Cuomo and news organizations like CNN will do their jobs and delve into the Wikileaks database to uncover any scandalous information which could possibly paint the Clintons in a bad light.

Comment: Got that, folks? CNN 'reporters' are the high priests and priestesses of information, so don't go a tryin' to do no learnin on yer own!
