Russia has the most advanced weaponry and hardware to tackle terrorism, and is ready to offer it to foreign customers, President Vladimir Putin has said.

"We are prepared to offer our customers the most advanced anti-terrorist means, including combat planes, air defense systems, multiple-launch rocket systems and armored vehicles," Putin said as he chaired a meeting of the Commission for Russia's Military-Technical Cooperation with Foreign States on Monday.

"Our country makes a significant contribution to the fight against international terrorism," the Russian leader said, stressing that more and more countries are facing a surge in violence and growing terrorist threat. Putin added that "Syria, Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan are well-known examples."

Who hijacked whose democracy? If Russia had rigged US elections, it would only be payback for Yeltsin's second term

Time cover Yeltsin
© Time MagazineUS enabled Yeltsin's reelection.
Early 1996 Boris Yeltsin's approval rate was in the single digits. He had carried out a presidential putsch, started a shambolic war in Chechnya and had helped oligarchs pillage the nation and brought the economy to its knees. July 1996 he was elected president for the second time. How did this happen?

Oh well, it just took one of the most unfair, costliest and most fraudulent election battles in the history of democracy. -- All with the complicity of the United States which backed the Russian alcoholic in chief every step of the way (as it had during the '93 coup).

First Yeltsin completely monopolized the state and oligarch-run media which ran scare stories on his opponent Communist Zyuganov day and night. Next as Zyuganov spent some three million on the campaign, as was the lawful limit, Yeltsin poured hundreds of millions of from the oligarchs' coffers.

Russian MoD: ISIS offensive on Palmyra proves terrorists should not be given the opportunity to regroup

Islamic State militants used a break in the US-led coalition's advance against them to launch offensive in Palmyra, while counting on the fact that Russia will not conduct airstrikes on residential areas, the Russian Defense Ministry said. The setback shows that terrorists should not be given the opportunity to regroup.

"Seizing on the suspension of active military action near Al-Raqqah till spring by the US and international coalition, Islamic State devoted considerable forces to storm Palmyra," the ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said on Monday.

Konashenkov said that Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorists knew that the Russian Air Force would not conduct airstrikes in Palmyra's residential areas, and "used that to reinforce their attacks."

After arriving "unhampered" in Deir ez-Zor and Al-Raqqah, Syria, from Mosul, Iraq, some 4,000 terrorists armed with heavy weapons moved quickly on Palmyra in tanks and armored vehicles, the defense ministry said.

NYT mocks "PizzaGate" claims, forgetting their own CEO covered up Jimmy Savile pedophile crimes

Mark Thompson NYT Savile
This is not an article attempting to support or debunk the claims made by the popular "PizzaGate" theory which, despite censorship on platforms such as Reddit and YouTube, continues to gain traction. Although yes, we plan on "going there", just not right now.

Instead, we would simply like to remind our dear readers that selecting "all the news that's fit to print" is by no means an exercise in objectivity.

The New York Times has now run numerous stories in an attempt to debunk PizzaGate and shame anyone who thinks such a theory could even be possible.

The claims made by PizzaGate are serious and deserve close scrutiny. But is the New York Times really the correct outlet for an impartial investigation into an elite pedo ring?

While the Times has reached out to those implicated in the theory for their comments and retorts — standard operating procedure for any competent journalist — it's important to remember that the CEO of the fabled newspaper is none other than Mark Thompson, the former BBC director who "lied" during the Jimmy Savile investigation, and is at least partly to blame for allowing a monster like Savile to operate within the BBC for so long "undetected".

Comment: The NYT is run by a guy who tried to cover up pedophillia crimes for the BBC. They have no credibility. Period. The elite are up in arms over the fact that people are no longer believing their lies. Their lashing out is only causing further collapse of the stronghold they once had.

Lavrov: US protecting al-Nusra so they can use it to topple Assad regime

There are reasons to believe that Washington might be protecting al-Nusra Front terrorists in order to use them as a tool to oust Syrian President Bashar Assad, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a joint press conference with Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic in Belgrade on Monday.

"There is a slew of examples showing that al-Nusra Front somehow evaded the US-led coalition's actions. There were and are solid reasons to believe it was being protected as the most efficient and combat-capable anti-government force on the ground so that it could be used in future to topple the legitimate leadership of Syria," Lavrov said.

Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with government forces fighting the Syrian opposition groups striving to overthrow Bashar Assad. Damascus is also fighting numerous extremist and terrorist groups such as the Jabhat Fatah al Sham (previously known as al-Nusra Front) and Daesh, both outlawed in the United States and Russia. According to the United Nations, 300,000 Syrians have died since the beginning of the conflict.

Calls for Herr Kissinger's arrest in Oslo

Henry Kissinger
© CodepinkAlli McCracken, a peace activist with CODEPINK, shows former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger a pair of handcuffs during a protest at a Senate hearing on Thursday. If there was justice in this world, argue human rights activists, Kissinger would be in prison for his role in perpetrating war crimes as opposed to sitting before the Senate Armed Services Committee to offer his assessment of world affairs.
Heinz Alfred "Henry" Kissinger may not be the devil himself, but he sure acts like his emissary. Seemingly everywhere there is death, destruction, carnage, criminality and cover up, you can bet old man Kissinger won't be far behind. Bush needs a trusted ally to run the 9/11 cover up commission? Henry Kissinger is his first choice.

The drug money front known as HSBC needs some expert advice on fleeing the country? They turn to Henry Kissinger. Rockefeller needs someone inside the Nixon administration to break through the Great Wall and begin the neo-colonization of China? Only Kissinger could go to China.

The Yom Kippur War? You better believe Kissinger was there at its inception. Need a nice soundbite on the construction of the New World Order for your fake news outlet? Kissinger's your man.

It would be like some game that you could whip out at a party if it wasn't all so perverse: How many degrees of separation are there between any major tragedy of the past half century and Henry Kissinger?

Which is why the Nobel Institute's decision to honor Kissinger (along with the equally horrendous globalist conspirator Zbigniew Brzezinski) at the first ever Nobel Peace Prize Forum in Oslo this Sunday is so ludicrous that one has to imagine that they're merely trolling the public. That feeling is confirmed when we discover that the topic that these two distinguished guests will addressing at that forum is (drum roll please): "The United States and World Peace After The Presidential Election."

Yes, you read that right. The Nobel Institute has invited an unindicted war criminal and an arch-schemer for American imperial domination to talk about the United States and world peace. This would seem like an absolutely inexplicable outrage on behalf of an organization that is supposedly dedicated to the furthering of the peace cause, except (as my dedicated listeners are already well aware) the (Ig)Nobel Peace Prize has (dis)honored many a war criminal in the past, Kissinger included.

The Green Party request to recount paper ballots from the presidential election in Pennsylvania and inspect electronic systems for signs of hacking has been denied by a federal judge.

US District Judge Paul Diamond dismissed Jill Stein's lawsuit on Monday morning. It was part of a larger effort to challenge the voting results in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Republican candidate Donald Trump won a narrow victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton in all three to carry the Electoral College vote.

Oil prices rise as world producers agree on production cut

Crude oil prices soared to mid-2015 highs, as independent producers led by Russia agreed to join OPEC in cutting output globally in the first deal since 2001.

Brent crude rose as high as $57.89 per barrel in overnight trading between Sunday and Monday before falling to $57.19, but up over five percent, nearly $2.80 higher.

US crude benchmark West Texas Intermediate also hit a sixteen-month high of $54.51 per barrel before retreating to $54.15.

"We believe that the observation of the OPEC-11 and non-OPEC 11 production cuts is required to sustainably support... oil prices to our 1H17 WTI price forecast of $55 a barrel," said Goldman Sachs.

OPEC has pledged to cut oil output by 1.2 million barrels per day (bpd) from January 1, with the cartel's biggest producer Saudi Arabia slashing around 486,000 bpd in a bid to end oversupply that has halved crude prices since 2014.

Russia warns Israel not to intervene in Syria after Israeli jets approach Russian-controlled airspace

Russian generals
Russian forces sent out a warning to the Israeli Air Force after Israeli jets were detected near Russian controlled airspace near the Syrian - Lebanese border, Lebanese media outlet As Safir reported Friday.

The warning was issued after a Russian radar system spotted Israeli jets approaching Russian-controlled airspace two weeks ago, a Lebanese diplomatic official said, according to the report.

Russia's defense ministry said Thursday that its forces in Syria had set up a "hotline" with Israel's military to avoid clashes in the sky over the war-torn country.

An "information-sharing" mechanism "has been established through a hotline between the Russian aviation command center at the Hmeimim air base (in Syria) and a command post of the Israeli air force, we will not tolerate Israel intervention on Syria and we will shoot down Israeli fighter jets if they intervene in Syria war" the ministry said in a statement, adding that the two sides were undergoing training on how to cooperate.
