FBI defends Trump against CIA allegations of Russian collusion in election result

FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) has finally thrown its weight behind US president-elect Donald Trump against CIA allegations suggesting Russian collusion for Trump's victory.

In a secret House Intelligence Committee, an FBI official expressed that he could not conclusively confirm the Russian collusion behind Trump's victory contrary to the claims of the CIA who had concluded in a secret assessment that Russia has intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency.

"It was shocking to hold these [CIA] statements made about Russian intentions and activities, and to hear this guy basically saying nothing with certainty and allowing that all was possible," the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said.

The FBI official faced a barrage of questions both from Democrats and Republicans but he stood his ground and refused to categorically point at Russian involvement.

On the other hand, CIA officials remained adamant that the evidence they gathered demonstrated that it was "quite clear" that Russia aimed to help ensure a Trump victory.

In a development with the shocking potential to upend the U.S. presidential election, ten Electoral College electors have requested further insight into President-Elect Donald Trump's alleged ties to Russia to determine "whether Mr. Trump is fit to serve as President of the United States."

Led by Christine Pelosi, daughter of Democratic House leader Nancy Pelosi, the group of ten electors penned an open letter to Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, stating:
"Allegations that Donald Trump was receiving assistance from a hostile foreign power to win the election began months before Election Day. When presented with information that the Russian government was interfering in the election through the course of the campaign, both in private briefings and public assessment, Donald Trump rejected it, refused to condemn it, and continued to accept their help. Donald Trump even made a direct plea to the Russian government to interfere further in the election in a press conference on July 27, saying, 'Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing.'"
Indeed, Democrats and a smattering of Republicans touting utterly unverifiable reports from unnamed CIA officials and unprovable corporate media articles published by the Washington Post and New York Times have seemingly gone out of their way to link Trump to the Putin administration — thereby discrediting the democratic outcome of the 2016 election.

But claims of Russian interference — running the gamut from responsibility of hacks of the Democratic National Committee to a coordinated, state-sponsored propaganda campaign implemented by alternative media outlets — have been thoroughly discredited, if nothing else but for a complete lack of evidence.

Comment: The US propaganda machine spins lies, feeds it to its MSM lackeys, then uses the spit back from these media sources as confirmation of truth - creating more insanity with no end in sight. Oh, revise that...they demand the final report before Obama leaves office January 20th. 'In other words' (literally), without evidence they will have to make it up.

A 12 August 2012 U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency warning that the Obama Administration's strategy might drive ISIS from Mosul in Iraq to Der Zor in Syria, is now being actually carried out as a plan instead of a warning — a plan to weaken and ultimately oust Syria's non-sectarian President Bashar al-Assad and replace him with a Sunni Sharia-law regime (one led by jihadists). The DIA warning had called this scenario an "unraveling," but Obama and the U.S. Congress are now actually choosing it, so as to set the incoming President Trump up with an opportunity to replace Assad's government by one that the Sauds and their U.S.-made weapons will control.

The DIA warning in 2012 had said:
"C. IF THE SITUATION UNRAVELS THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF ESTABLISHING A DECLARED OR UNDECLARED SALAFIST [fundamentalist Sunni] PRINCIPALITY IN EASTERN SYRIA (HASAKA AND DER ZOR), AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE SUPPORTING POWERS [U.S., Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey] TO THE OPPOSITION WANT, IN ORDER TO ISOLATE THE [pro-Russian and pro-Iranian] SYRIAN REGIME."
Whoever wrote this assessment recognized that though the option would mean an "unraveling" of Syria, it's what the U.S. and its allies were actually seeking.

On September 17th, U.S. and UK jets bombed the compound of Syrian government troops who were fighting to oust jihadists from Deir Ezzor (or "Der Zor"), and killed 62 Syrian soldiers, with a hundred more injured, in that U.S.-led bombing attack. Der Zor was being softened-up for the coming U.S.-and-allied takeover.

A few recent headlines of #fakenews: The above is #fakenews because China does not currently deploy any air-launched nuclear weapons. It is not known or thought to have nuclear bombs. All its estimated 260 nuclear warheads (the U.S. and Russia each have more than 7,000) are presumably for its land and sea based missiles.

Comment: The wholesale lies we're witnessing which paint China as a belligerent and aggressive nation needs to be understood in its true context: It is the US and its sycophantic media tentacles which are belligerent and aggressive - and seeking to bring China to heel. Not the other way around.

The New York Times journalist who sold the world on WMDs is back to sell the story of "Russia election hacking"

Were it not for the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series, one would think that it was 2003 WMDs all over again.

The same Iraq war playbook is being dusted off in order to sell a ridiculous information war based on the equally ridiculous notion that Russia hacked the US elections in Trump's favor...and at the expense of Hillary Clinton.

All the lies are in place.

Politicians like McCain and Graham are hitting talk show circuit, warning about a "dictator" threatening American democracy.

"Fake news" is the new Patriot act, a dumbed down catchphrase used to rally support while curbing citizens' freedoms.

The US president is ordering a secret investigation, results pending before inauguration day.

The CIA is leading the charge by misleading. Anonymous sources are today's "Ahmed Chalabi."

American "values" are under attack. Retaliation first, fact later. The "DNC hack" is Colin Powell's "anthrax" moment. Saddam is Putin. Iraq is Russia. Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) have become Weapons of Cyber Destruction (WCD).

...And Judith Miller is back. Ready sell another conflict, cyber or hot, to an American public fattened up on a diet of "Russian aggression".

Miller seems to always pop up to corroborate CIA propaganda.

Comment: Nothing says faith in the brainwashed state of the American public than trotting out a proven liar to push a new lie.

As they are now legally allowed to do ever since the law against covert CIA propaganda in the United States was repealed, the Agency has leaked to the Washington Post reports - via anonymous third parties - of its alleged assessment of a Russian campaign to hand Donald Trump the White House:

"The CIA has concluded in a secret assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency, rather than just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system", according to officials briefed on the matter.

"Intelligence agencies have identified individuals with connections to the Russian government who provided WikiLeaks with thousands of hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and others, including Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman, according to US officials. Those officials described the individuals as actors known to the intelligence community and part of a wider Russian operation to boost Trump and hurt Clinton's chances.

"'It is the assessment of the intelligence community that Russia's goal here was to favor one candidate over the other, to help Trump get elected,' said a senior US official briefed on an intelligence presentation made to US senators. "That's the consensus view."

UK officials cry foul over £22 million in payouts to Iraq detainees for human rights abuses

Payouts over the abuse and detention of Iraqi nationals by the British military adding up to more than £22 million (US$27.5 million) are now under fire after details were obtained by the press. The Daily Mail, which saw documents relating to previous payouts, says that many of the cases were settled because of European human rights law.

In many cases in which locals were imprisoned by UK troops during the occupation of Iraq it was found "the UK had no right to detain them and that their human rights had therefore been breached."

Most settlements are understood to have been reached in relation to detentions of more than 96 hours from 2004 onwards - a UK practice which the European Court of Human Rights considered illegal in Iraq.

Former army officer-turned-Tory MP Johnny Mercer has been one of the most outspoken critics of prosecutions of troops by law firms like the now-dissolved Public Interest Lawyers (PIL) and investigative bodies like the Iraq Historic Allegations Team (IHAT).

Comment: The UK played no small part in destroying Iraq. £22 million is a drop in the bucket compared to what they really owe.

Ten Electoral College electors have asked U.S. intelligence officials for more information on ongoing investigations surrounding President-elect Donald Trump's relationship with Russia.

The group of electors, which includes the daughter of House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.), wrote an open letter to Director of National Intelligence James Clapper asking for the information ahead of their Dec. 19 meeting to formally vote for the next president.

A Democratic lawmaker is desperately lobbying the Electoral College to shun Donald Trump, and vote for Hillary Clinton — even though he conceded Monday that the Republican won the election "fair and square."

The plea from Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) comes a week before the Dec. 19 vote, which is expected to affirm the results of the Nov. 8 election, in which Trump beat Clinton with 306 Electoral College votes.

"We're 5 wks from Inauguration & the President Elect is completely unhinged. The electoral college must do what it was designed for," Himes wrote Sunday night on Twitter in response to Trump's gripe that NBC "Nightly News" is "biased, inaccurate and bad, point after point."

Comment: Sounds like Himes drank the Soros koolaid.
