James Comey: Lynch asked me to call email investigation a 'matter'

As the liberal left mainstream media was foaming at the mouth anticipating James Comey testifying that Trump had obstructed justice in some form during his testimony, what we did get is zero evidence of Trump obstruction, but of Hillary Clinton - Loretta Lynch obstruction.

It was an unexpected turn of events and now drags the Obama administration into the Trump witch hunt they helped orchestrate.

The former FBI Director detailed his interaction with Obama's Attorney General Loretta Lynch about specific language used in the Clinton Email "investigation."

Central Banks could crash the markets by selling the trillions they have in stocks and bonds

central banks
Have you ever wondered why stocks just seem to keep going up no matter what happens? For years, financial markets have been behaving in ways that seem to defy any rational explanation, but once you understand the role that central banks have been playing everything begins to make sense. In the aftermath of the great financial crisis of 2008, global central banks began to buy stocks, bonds and other financial assets in very large quantities and they haven't stopped since. In fact, as you will see below, global central banks are on pace to buy 3.6 trillion dollars worth of stocks and bonds this year alone. At this point, the Swiss National Bank owns more publicly-traded shares of Facebook than Mark Zuckerberg does, and the Bank of Japan is now a top-five owner in 81 different large Japanese firms. These global central banks are shamelessly pumping up global stock markets, but because they now have such vast holdings they could also cause a devastating global stock market crash simply by starting to sell off their portfolios.

Over the years I have often been asked about the "plunge protection team", but the truth is that global central banks are the real "plunge protection team". If stocks start surging higher on any particular day for seemingly no reason, it is probably the work of a central bank. Because they can inject billions of dollars into the markets whenever they want, that essentially allows them to "play god" and move the markets in any direction that they please.

Time to pay attention: The global police state is here

global police state
"The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and the realities of the universe, the less taste we shall have for destruction."

-Rachel Carson

"We are who we are waiting for We can make a change"

-the author, singing to his daughter recently
There's a storm coming, folks. The police state has already been with us awhile now. The two attacks in the UK could be a preview of things to come, even across the pond, here in the US.

Just two weeks before the UK elections, we've seen two horrific incidents in Manchester and London. Is this a coincidence? One wonders whether these attacks have been orchestrated or allowed to happen by the US-UK intelligence services to swing the vote towards Theresa May. The most recent attack on June 3rd could even be a distraction from Trump's reneging on the Paris Agreement. Or perhaps the play is to ratchet up public fear for a possible US-UK-backed war against Syria or Iran. How deep down the rabbit hole are you prepared to look?

Fake news guru: CNN issues correction after Comey statement contradicts their reporting

Trump and Comey

CNN has corrected a Tuesday report after the release of former FBI Director James Comey's opening statement for his Thursday testimony in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee contradicted the report's sources.

The CNN report said Comey was expected to dispute President Trump's claims that Comey said he was not under investigation on multiple occasions.

The report, titled "Comey expected to refute Trump," was based on unnamed sources and said Comey's conversations with the president "were much more nuanced," and that Trump drew the wrong conclusion.

The story was compiled by four CNN journalists, including Gloria Borger, Eric Lichtblau, Jake Tapper and Brian Rokus.

DOJ bans Holder-era settlement payouts to 'slush fund' third-party organizations

The US Justice Department will no longer pay settlements to third parties that were "neither the victims nor the parties of the lawsuit." The funds were meant for community organizations but conservatives said only liberal organizations benefited.

On Wednesday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that the Justice Department would no longer allow federal prosecutors to make settlement deals with large companies to direct donations to third-party organizations "not directly harmed by the conduct."

"When the federal government settles a case against a corporate wrongdoer, any settlement funds should go first to the victims and then to the American people - not to bankroll third-party special interest groups or the political friends of whoever is in power," Sessions said, adding, "With this directive, we are ending this practice and ensuring that settlement funds are only used to compensate victims, redress harm, and punish and deter unlawful conduct."

Putin Kelly
Dear NBC News Team,

Congratulations! You have graduated from fake news to falsified news, arriving at a journalistic level that is identical to that in the Soviet Union in its heyday.

A couple of days ago, the political talk show moderated by Vladimir Soloviev on state television channel Rossiya 1 broadcast two versions of a segment from Megyn Kelly's interview with Vladimir Putin last Friday in the St Petersburg on the sidelines of the International Economic Forum. One was the complete, uncut version that was aired on RT. The other was the cut-to-shreds version that you put on air for the American audience. (Watch here, beginning 4 minutes into the program.)

Newly elected Rep. Greg Gianforte (R-Montana) has formally apologized to Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs for assaulting him the night before his election, and will donate $50,000 to the Committee to Protect Journalists as part of a civil lawsuit settlement.

Gianforte's apology letter acknowledged his assault on Jacobs as a "mistake." It had been described by Jacobs at the time as a "bodyslam" and witnesses reported seeing Gianforte take Jacobs down by the neck.

"My physical response to your legitimate question was unprofessional, unacceptable, and unlawful," Gianforte wrote. "As both a candidate for office and a public official, I should be held to a high standard in my interactions with the press and the public. My treatment of you did not meet that standard."

Dozens of fatalities & injuries after shootings, bombings at Iranian parliament & Khomeini shrine - UPDATES

Parliament building in Tehran

At least 12 people died and dozens were injured in gun and bomb attacks at the Iranian parliament and Ayatollah Khomeini's shrine in Tehran, emergency services said, as cited by local media. Both assaults were later claimed by Islamic State.

Attackers opened fire on guards inside the parliament building in the Iranian capital on Wednesday morning, FARS news agency reported.

Updates: Unlike other recent attacks claimed by ISIS (e.g., in the UK and Philippines), this time they actually released video implying they were actually involved. The video contains footage allegedly filmed by one of the attackers from within the Iranian parliament, and was accompanied by the following message: "Praise God. Do you think that we will leave? We will survive, with the permission of God. ISIS will stay here until doomsday."

This follows weeks of increasingly anti-Iranian rhetoric from ISIS. Funny that ISIS and Trump have opted to take the same propaganda line...

Iranian security services defused an explosive device near the Khomeini shrine and revealed that the suicide bomber at that location was a female. Another outlet reported a second suicide bombing at the shrine, but this was reported as false by officials. Later reports say the 4 parliament attackers were dressed as women, so the shrine bomber may have been wearing a disguise.

All lawmakers and staff managed to leave parliament unharmed, but the attacks have left 12 killed and 43 wounded so far. Iranian lawmakers were seemingly unperturbed, staying calm and taking selfies while the gun battle took place in the building. Iranians aren't weak, that's for sure.

In one video from inside the chamber, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani dismissed the attacks, saying they were a "minor matter" and that security forces were dealing with them.

"As you know, some coward terrorists infiltrated a building in [parliament], but they were seriously confronted," Larijani said. "This is a minor issue but reveals that the terrorists pursue troublemaking."
While initial reports said 2 were arrested, the latest reports say all 4 attackers were killed. As for the shrine attack, officials say one attacker wearing a suicide vest was shot by police and another was detained (presumably the third is the one who blew himself or herself up).

Iran's Revolutionary Guards have accused Saudi Arabia of being behind the attack:
"This terrorist attack happened only a week after the meeting between the US president [Donald Trump] and the [Saudi] backward leaders who support terrorists. The fact that Daesh has claimed responsibility proves that they were involved in the brutal attack," a statement read as quoted by Reuters.
They also pledged retaliation.

Update (June 8): Fars News Agency released CCTV footage of the parliament attack:

Iranian officials have confirmed that the attackers were linked to ISIS, and had spent time in Mosul and Raqqa:
"Five of the arrested terrorists earlier left Iran and conducted terrorist activity in Raqqa and Mosul. Last year, they returned to the country under the leadership of the commander, Abu Aish, to carry out terrorist attacks in the holy places of Iran," a statement by the Iranian Security Ministry obtained by Sputnik said.

"The [Iranian] security services eliminated Abu Aish, else, left Iran in fear. Then, part of them returned and committed yesterday's attacks."

Moreover, a woman rom southern regions of Iran who had supposedly helped terrorists was detained. "She helped others, sent them to their missions after the start of the attacks, a member of the Iranian committee of national security of the parliament told Mehr news agency.
