Ordinary Americans are not buying the "Russian meddling" nonsense, with 57 percent agreeing that "the media has prematurely declared President Trump and his allies guilty of collusion with Russia" despite a lack of evidence. Only 39 percent disagreed.

Some 83 percent of Republicans believed the media had displayed bias, while only 32 percent of Democrats believed the same. Some 62 percent of independents saw media bias in the coverage of the Russia investigation.

Almost two-thirds of the youngest segment of voters, in the 18 to 24 year-old age group, said the media had essentially treated Trump and his campaign officials as guilty without providing evidence of Russian influence.

Most Americans do not believe Russia influenced the outcome of the election, despite the mainstream media's saturation coverage, with some 52 percent of respondents dismissing the idea.
Almost half of Americans called the Russia investigation a full-on "witch hunt". The poll also found 65 percent of Americans saying it was "premature" to talk about impeachment of president Trump while only 32 percent said it was "appropriate". The poll was taken May 30 to June 6, before former FBI Director James Comey's testimony which largely imploded the "Russian conspiracy" narrative.

Al Jazeera Arabic's official page suspended by Twitter

Al jazeera twitter
Social networking site Twitter has suspended the official page, belonging to Al Jazeera Arabic.

The move is nothing surprising, given that Saudi Prince Waleed bin Talal is Twitter's second largest shareholder and owns 34.9 million shares of its common stock, in addition to his country currently being involved in a diplomatic row with Qatar, a country whose regime stands behind Al Jazeera Network.

Until this very month, Qatar and Saudi Arabia were staunch allies in their support of terrorist groups, fighting against the Syrian Army.

Not long ago, however, tensions broke out after Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates accused Qatar of meddling in their internal affairs and providing support for terrorist groups.

It is noteworthy that, while under the Saudi blessing, Al Jazeera and its blatant fake propaganda, played a rather instrumental role in destroying Syria, with some of its anchors even openly calling for extermination of certain minority groups in Syria.

'Not in a position to lecture': Cuba fires back at Trump and says blockade 'destined to fail'

Havana has blasted US President Donald Trump's decision Friday to roll back much of Barack Obama's policy of rapprochement and imposing new restrictions on Cuba using the pretext of human rights concerns, calling it a case of double standards.
"The United States is not in a position to give us lessons. We have serious concerns about the respect and guarantees of human rights in that country, where there are numerous cases of murders, brutality and police abuses, particularly against the African American population," the Cuban government said in a statement, published by the Communist Party's official Granma newspaper.

It went on to note that Washington's record of encroachment on human rights stretches well beyond its borders. For instance, at its naval base on the "illegally occupied" Guantanamo Bay, the US subjected "dozens of prisoners" to torture and arbitrary detention, it said. The Cuban authorities also reminded Washington of "dire consequences for the peace, security and stability" in the Middle East of its invasion into Iraq under the false pretext and called it out for inflicting mass civilian casualties by carrying pit indiscriminate bombings and drone strikes.

Sorting out the history of Ukraine's conflict

While the good folks of the Washington establishment have been keeping themselves busy trying to invent new ways to cripple and delegitimize the presidency of Donald J. Trump, the war in Ukraine, now entering its fourth year, has, of late, gone largely unremarked upon.

Yet it continues. A report by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights published on June 13 finds that over the past three months there have been ceasefire violations committed by both parties to the conflict. According to the report, the "routine use of small arms and light and heavy weapons in the conflict zone" has resulted in "damage to critical infrastructure, including schools, hospitals and water facilities." To date, over 10,000 people, including roughly 3,000 civilians, have been killed since the conflict began in 2014.

This past February marked the three-year anniversary of Euro-Maidan uprising, which saw Ukraine's democratically elected President Viktor Yanukovych overthrown and replaced by a pro-Western coalition government made up of his political opponents.

US with nuclear weapons is a 'demented maniac with delusions of grandeur'

In a context of almost total indifference, marked by outright hostility, representatives of over a hundred of the world's least powerful countries are currently opening another three-week session of United Nations talks aimed at achieving a legally binding ban on nuclear weapons. Very few people even know this is happening.

Ban nuclear weapons? Ho hum... Let's change the subject.

Let's talk about Russian hacking instead, or the rights of trans-sexuals to use the toilet of their choice, or even about something really important: climate change.

Justice or revenge: Relatives demand punishment after US troops indiscriminately kill Afghan father and 2 sons

The relatives of an Afghan father and two of his sons, who they say were killed and disfigured by heavy US fire in the country's Nangarhar province, told RT they demand the American troops be punished. The US military says it's unaware of civilian casualties.

The incident took place in the Ghani Khel district, in the southern Nangarhar province on Afghanistan's border with Pakistan, early Monday.

The US military command in Kabul said that a convoy was hit by a roadside bomb, which was followed with an attack by armed militants, Reuters reported.

"The convoy returned fire in self-defense and there were no US casualties," the command said in a statement, adding that no civilian casualties were reported.

However, the accounts on the ground in Ghani Khel are different, with local police saying that three civilians - an owner of a small brick factory and two of his sons - were killed by the indiscriminate firing of the US troops.
