Alabama Governor Kay Ivey
Alabama Governor Kay Ivey told reporters Friday that she plans to cast her ballot on December 12 for Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore.
Ivey made the endorsement after Alabama's annual Thanksgiving turkey pardon event held at the governor's mansion on Friday. Earlier in the week when asked about Moore, Governor Ivey said,
"I will hold judgment until we get more of the facts."As of Friday, Ivey seemed to indicate that she had all the facts she needed to determine whether she would vote for Moore.
"I believe in the Republican Party, what we stand for, and most important, we need to have a Republican in the United States Senate to vote on things like the Supreme Court justices, other appointments the Senate has to confirm and make major decisions," Ivey said. "So that's what I plan to do, vote for Republican nominee Roy Moore."
