Russian President Vladimir Putin says that all major Russian companies, both state-owned and private, must be ready for a rapid transition to war-time operations, adding that the capability is crucial to national security.

According to the Kremlin press service, the Russian president made the statement on Wednesday at a conference with senior defense ministry officials and top managers of major defense companies.

"I would like to note that the ability of any economy to rapidly increase the output of defense products and services when it is needed is one of the most important conditions of the nation's military security. All strategic and... large enterprises must be ready for this," Putin stated.

US Senator Richard Black: Soros wants globalist government that would serve the oligarchs and not the people

For people like Soros and the globalists; they view the nation-state as a problem, because the nation expresses the will of the people of that nation, and it serves their personal interest, Richard Black, Republican Virginia state Senator, told RT.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and the Fidesz Party Vice Chairman Gergely Gulyás are locked in a desperate battle with the billionaire financier and philanthropist George Soros, as well as his ideologically driven campaign to allow thousands of migrants to flood into Europe.

Leaders like Orban say the strategy will lead to the total collapse of a "Christian Europe," and argue that Soros is trying to subvert Hungary and the rest of the EU.

Speaking to his supporters on Wednesday, Hariri said: "I am staying with you and will continue with you...to be a line of defense for Lebanon, Lebanon's stability, and Lebanon's Arabism." The comments were made to hundreds of people gathered outside his house in central Beirut, Reuters reported.

Comment: Will Hariri go against Saudi commands, or continue to operate as a Saudi stooge? Wait and see.

Bill Clinton still refuses to answer questions about flights on Epstein's pedophile sex plane

clintons
Former President Bill Clinton continues to remain silent about the 26 flights he took aboard convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's private jet, dubbed the "Lolita Express," which reportedly offered underage girls to passengers to rape.

Fox News wrote in 2016 that the Lolita Express, a Boeing 727 jet, was "reportedly outfitted with a bed where passengers had group sex with young girls."

Clinton flew on some trips where the flight logs showed only the first names of female passengers.

The Daily Caller News Foundation contacted the Clinton Presidential Library last week to obtain information about the former president's relationship with billionaire Epstein, who in 2008 was convicted of soliciting sex from underage girls as young as 14.

At the time of the request, the Clinton Presidential Library was preparing to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Clinton's 1992 presidential win. It was attended by a small army of Clinton loyalists.

Google to de-rank RT and Sputnik, makes millions in advertising revenue from videos that exploit children

google censorship
I don't believe it is acceptable that a bunch of politically correct, Democratic-party supporting people sitting in Silicon Valley should decide what people should or should not hear, says media consultant Neil Wallis.

Eric Schmidt, the executive chairman of Google's parent company, Alphabet, has vowed to de-rank RT and the news agency Sputnik to make it harder for the outlets to reach a wider audience.

His comments came at a Q & A session at the Halifax International Security Forum in Canada on Saturday when asked about RT's use of Google's AdSense service.

"We are working on detecting and de-ranking those kinds of sites - it's basically RT and Sputnik," Schmidt said.

RT: Google says it's not looking to ban RT. Yet doesn't de-ranking RT stories essentially have the same effect? Isn't it a modern form of censorship?

Comment:

If the US government had nothing to hide then surely they would allow Americans to make their own choices about what to listen to and whom to believe. But as this article and recent scandals show, the US government regularly leans on media organisations to cover up stories that reveal the real machinations and plans of the US pathocrats; this is why they want RT and Sputnik silenced:

The War Party's ban of RT - Outlawing opposition and making dissent the equivalent of treason

rt newsroom
You know life's become a joke when the US Department of Justice starts requiring foreign media to register as foreign agents. Will the BBC be forced to issue a disclaimer with every broadcast and web posting: "Proceed with caution - British propaganda ahead"? Don't bet the ranch on it.

Such distinctions are reserved for the current bogeyman of the moment, i.e. typically some marginal outlet with a small-to-minuscule audience, in this case RT, formerly Russia Today, and its companion web site Sputnik. Banned from advertising on Twitter, and the subject of an official investigation by both houses of Congress and a special counsel, these two relatively minor state-sponsored outlets are nonetheless credited with nearly single-handedly putting Donald Trump in the White House.

It didn't take much to create the kind of atmosphere in which a direct assault on the First Amendment goes largely unnoticed and even implicitly supported. A mysterious Russian "troll farm" amplifying the perfidious "divisiveness" of RT/Sputnik "disinformation," a few hundred thousand bucks in Facebook ads (mostly placed after the election), and the "expert" testimony of professional hysterics who traffic in the mythology of the new cold war. Such are the ingredients that go into the making of a new industry, or rather a revived one: Kremlinology.

US introduces latest round of sanctions against Chinese and North Korean businesses

Washington has sanctioned several Chinese entities in its ongoing efforts to compel North Korea to abandon its nuclear weapons program. The US also accused North Korea of engaging in illegal ship-to-ship oil transfers on the high seas.

The Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) unveiled the latest round of sanctions against China and North Korea Tuesday. Notable targets include Chinese businessmen and firms that export to Pyongyang, North Korean shipping companies and organizations that facilitate the movement of North Korean workers.

"As North Korea continues to threaten international peace and security, we are steadfast in our determination to maximize economic pressure to isolate it from outside sources of trade and revenue while exposing its evasive tactics," Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin said in a statement. "These designations include companies that have engaged in trade with North Korea cumulatively worth hundreds of millions of dollars. We are also sanctioning the shipping and transportation companies, and their vessels, that facilitate North Korea's trade and its deceptive maneuvers."

The Chinese firms targeted by the US' latest punitive measures include Dandong Kehua Economy & Trade Co. Ltd., Dandong Xianghe Trading Co. Ltd. and Dandong Hongda Trade Co. Ltd.

US occupation in Afghanistan makes it a haven for pedophilia

Mullah Omar
Mullah Omar told his men to punish bacha bazi rape with death, Americans told their troops to learn to live with it
There is a story doing the rounds along the American mainstream media circuit of how US soldiers in Afghanistan were told the pedophilic practice of "dancing boys" was culturally accepted in Afghanistan and to pay it no mind. Marine Times:
American troops were told to ignore the rape and abuse of children by Afghan security forces they were partnered with, according to a report released Thursday by the Pentagon's inspector general.

Although the report found that there was no written guidance telling U.S. troops to ignore abuse allegations, cultural-awareness training for U.S. personnel deploying to Afghanistan identified child sexual abuse as a culturally accepted practice in Afghanistan.
Actually this is not news. The new part is that this has now been confirmed by the Inspector General of the Department of Defense. However, for years now many US veterans of the Afghan occupation have been telling this story. Once in country, they were told by superiors to turn a blind eye to US-backed Afghan troops, police and officials sexually abusing boys, and a number of them found themselves in trouble when they attempted to intervene regardless.

The US-sponsored police is especially famous for doing so:
Practically all of Uruzgan's 370 local and national police checkpoints have bachas - some up to four - who are illegally recruited not just for sexual companionship but also to bear arms, multiple officials said.

Some policemen, they said, demand bachas like a perk of the job, refusing to join outposts where they are not available.

Comment: Though the Taliban is a harsh regime, the local militia forces are known to rape and kill people without fear of retaliation. This latest string of pedophilia reports comes as no surprise and ensures that the Taliban will have people eager to join their ranks. Which the US needs in order to justify its indefinite occupation of the country.

Russia, Iran and Syria work on diplomacy while insane US Deep State pushes for war

putin assad

In a big week for Syrian peace talks, President Assad was hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi, where the leaders of Iran and Turkey are also to convene. Fittingly, perhaps, the US had no input into the renewed effort for peace in Syria.

Putin said that with the defeat of ISIS (Daesh, Islamic State) and other terror groups in Syria now virtually achieved, the parties to the conflict must underpin the political means to win the peace. Significantly, the talks in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi reinforce the earlier Geneva accord which assents to President Bashar Assad and his government in Damascus as the sovereign authority of Syria.

The demand by Washington and its European allies for Assad to "stand down" has long ago expired. That void is a tacit acknowledgment the nearly seven-year covert war in Syria for regime change has been defeated or at least the covert war in its guise of Western-backed proxy militant groups.

The absence of US and European officials at the peace talks in Sochi this week speaks volumes about their pernicious role in the Syrian war.
