A Theory of the Case

You have been boldly lied-to by them with absolute consistency for years now....

There was Scott Pelley of CBS's 60-Minutes show on Sunday night — the prime-time slot of the new week — all cued up to run interference for the US State Department (and other Deep State "actors") in the propaganda war over Ukraine. Let's be brutally frank and get this out of the way: can you really trust either the US news media or the US government to tell you the truth?

Of course, you can't. You have been boldly lied-to by them with absolute consistency for years now. Common knowledge, which is common sense's twin sister, has it that the CIA "owns" The Washington Post, the FBI owns The New York Times, and the State Department owns CBS-News. All are conduits for official narratives. And since the State Department is most of all responsible for the Russian clean-up operation now underway in Ukraine, you can bet that CBS-News is in on the info-grift to protect State, its patron.

Kristian Andersen - an Anthony Fauci confidant who has received research grants worth millions from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director - reportedly offered to secretly delete a research paper exposing the U.S. National Institutes of Health's erasure of a database containing information relevant to the origins of COVID-19.

Andersen, a virologist at the Scripps Research Institute, made the suggestion during a Zoom call with Fauci himself, alongside former National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Francis Collins, and the paper's author Jesse D. Bloom.

Bloom, an evolutionary biologist, had recovered a number of early SARS-CoV-2 genomic sequences, which were erased by the NIH at the request of Chinese Communist Party researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The Zoom call - the details of which were revealed by Vanity Fair - was arranged two days after Bloom had sent a preprint of the report to Fauci and Collins.

The U.S. State Department Monday announced its newly-created Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy (CDP) was operational. The new agency has been devised to enhance the country's ability to work together with other nations on cybersecurity matters.

The CDP is a milestone in Secretary Antony Blinken's modernization agenda. It will address national security challenges, economic opportunities, and implications for U.S. values associated with cyberspace, digital technologies, and digital policy, according to Washington sources.

Jennifer Bachus, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, has been appointed as principal deputy assistant secretary for the Bureau, pending the selection of a Senate-confirmed ambassador-at-Large to head the agency which will consist of around 100 workers. Bachus previously served in the Czech Republic, Kosovo, France, Vietnam, and Jamaica.

The CDP will include three policy units: "cyberspace security," "international information and communications policy," and "digital freedom."

'Pushing back': GOP states file lawsuit against Biden administration's end of Title 42 border policy

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry are suing the Biden Administration for ending Title 42 during the worst border crisis in decades.

The three Republican leaders claim the rollback of the health policy will lead to an unprecedented crisis at the southern border that will have a devastating impact nationwide.
Schmitt said in a statement on Monday:
"Today, Missouri, Arizona, and Louisiana filed suit against the Biden Administration for rescinding Title 42 amid one of the worst border crises in this country's history. Title 42 is a crucial tool for controlling the influx of illegal aliens at our Southern border. Time and again, the Biden Administration has failed to act to secure our Southern border and have terminated successful programs like Title 42 and the 'Remain in Mexico' Policy. Missouri has been a leader in pushing back on the Biden Administration's failure at the border, and we filed suit against the cancellation of the 'Remain in Mexico' Policy and also filed suit to force the Biden Administration to build the Southwest border wall. If the Biden Administration won't take proactive steps to secure our border and protect our citizenry, we certainly will."
The three leaders argue that the end of the policy will create an unprecedented surge at the southern border and overwhelm law enforcement agencies and non-governmental organizations. The statement announcing the lawsuit claimed the change could lead to more than a half-million migrants per month.

Apple reportedly working with lobbyists to stop parental rights bills in multiple states

"Apple executives have encouraged other large companies to publicly oppose the legislation, arguing that it promotes discrimination and threatens to harm LGBTQ youth."
Apple is quietly engaging lobbyists in multiple states to stop parental rights bills like the one that just passed in Florida.

Much like Disney, Apple is getting involved in woke politics and framing this as standing up for LGBT rights when that's not what's happening at all.

Comment: Is it Apple's place to lobby civil rights issues and to choose political sides? Since when has selling products become the gateway for peddling influence?

A New World Order is already here

We now have a first-class international crisis on hand — a man-made crisis of the kind that comes once in millennia and causes empires to fall.

We may not, as some observers put it, be witnessing a world war. But we are certainly braving a "war of the world". Though the guns have not yet fallen silent, a new world order is already here. While the war is taking place in Ukraine, which for centuries has been a battlefield between European and Russian armies, the real conflict is between the United States, its allies and Russia. US and NATO leaders have repeatedly stated that the western military alliance NATO has never been more united than it is now.

Students of history and international relations will ponder through history to judge whether the Russian invasion of Ukraine was avoidable and why, despite its enormous power, the United States and Europe did not come to Ukraine's aid. President Putin had conducted reluctant diplomacy last year with President Joe Biden over Ukraine's "de facto" NATO militarisation; claimed continuing violation of Minsk agreements over the status of Donbass; Putin repeated the warnings he has been making for nearly fifteen years that NATO's eastward expansion would lead to a conflict. Western weapons, trainers and military experts have been making a beeline for Ukraine for the last eight years since the 2014 violent regime change which ousted the pro-Russia President of Ukraine from Donbass and set the stage for this conflict.

Biden's 'booming economy'

Booming Economy
© Off-Guardian

Did you know the economy was booming?
This may come as a shock to anyone out there who a) is alive or
b) has to buy things, but it's definitely true.

MSNBC and the New York Times said so.

Mehdi Hasan did a segment on his show:

NBC report "President Biden's approval rating has fallen to lowest level of his presidency despite booming economy", and Hasan just doesn't understand why people would be "unhappy with the way Biden is handling the economy" when wages are growing and they've added a "record 6.4 million job" in 2021.

Now, OK, that reported 4.5% wage growth is lagging way behind inflation, meaning in real terms people are being paid less.

Yes, alright, the "new jobs" were really just (some) of the people who lost their jobs during lockdown being rehired.

And fine, the reason spending is increasing could be that everything costs more.

But seriously, we're fine, it's booming.

SOTT Focus: Retired Swiss Military-Intelligence Officer: 'Is it Possible to Actually Know What Has Been And is Going on in Ukraine?'

putin zelensky ukraine russia
Ukrainian State Leader Vladimir Zelensky and Russia President Vladimir Putin
[...] Just recently I came across perhaps the clearest and most reasonable account of what has been going on in Ukraine. Its importance comes due to the fact that its author, Jacques Baud, a retired colonel in the Swiss intelligence service, was variously a highly placed, major participant in NATO training operations in Ukraine. Over the years, he also had extensive dealings with his Russian counterparts. His long essay first appeared (in French) at the respected Centre Français de Recherche sur le Renseignement. A literal translation appeared at The Postil (April 1, 2022). I have gone back to the original French and edited the article down some and rendered it, I hope, in more idiomatic English. I do not think in editing it I have damaged Baud's fascinating account. For in a real sense, what he has done is "to let the cat out of the bag." — Boyd D. Cathay

The Military Situation In The Ukraine

by Jacques Baud

March 2022

Part One: The Road To War

For years, from Mali to Afghanistan, I have worked for peace and risked my life for it. It is therefore not a question of justifying war, but of understanding what led us to it.

Let's try to examine the roots of the Ukrainian conflict. It starts with those who for the last eight years have been talking about "separatists" or "independentists" from Donbass. This is a misnomer. The referendums conducted by the two self-proclaimed Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk in May 2014, were not referendums of "independence" (независимость), as some unscrupulous journalists have claimed, but referendums of "self-determination" or "autonomy" (самостоятельность). The qualifier "pro-Russian" suggests that Russia was a party to the conflict, which was not the case, and the term "Russian speakers" would have been more honest. Moreover, these referendums were conducted against the advice of Vladimir Putin.

Skyrocketing oil prices and falling imports are the main factors, experts say

Russia's balance of payments surplus could hit a historic high this year, amounting to $200-$300 billion, business news outlet RBC reported on Monday. Economists polled by RBC have predicted record capital inflows into the country, despite the tightening Western sanctions.

They pointed to major factors behind the inflow, such as the increase in the value of Russian energy exports, and a reduction in merchandise imports to Russia by up to 50%.

France seemingly involved with Ukrainian banderites

French TV
According to the assurances given both by a Russian and an Ukrainian source, French soldiers from the Special Operations Command are currently in Mariupol (Ukraine) side by side with the Azov regiment.

Public broadcaster France-Télévision, which had so far brushed off the ideological character of the Azov regiment, presented a report on it during the France-2 evening news, on 31 March 2022. The report acknowledged that the regiment had been infiltrated by neo-Nazi elements in 2014, singling out one of its founders, Andriy Biletsky, but insisted that it had evolved into a respectable defense force. However, France-2 omitted to mention its other founder, Dmytro Yarosh, who is currently Adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The French channel referred to an old United Nations report documenting systematic torture in Eastern Ukraine, but it neglected to mention either the Azov regiment's special prisons uncovered by the Russian army, or the recent statements issued by the UN in this regard. France-2 also failed to explain the weight of the banderites in Ukrainian history, reducing the prominence of the neo-Nazis to brandishing the swastika. Having thus whitewashed the problem, it measured the threat to represent between 3,000 and 5,000 men, while Reuters agency ensures that the paramilitary banderites currently number 102,000 men, split into several militias incorporated within the Territorial Defense.

Comment: Macaroni is playing a very dangerous and stupid game with Russia in Ukraine. And now that that's abundantly clear to Russia, the French people, through no direct fault of their own, will get caught up in the economic pain.
