European court also orders Budapest to pay €200m for 'unprecedented' breach of rules.

Hungary has been ordered to pay a €200m (£169m) fine for its refusal to uphold the rights of asylum seekers in what was described as an "unprecedented" breach of EU law by the bloc's highest court.

The European court of justice in Luxembourg also ordered Budapest to pay €1m a day until it complies with EU laws guaranteeing refugees the right to claim asylum inside Hungarian borders.

In a major judgment issued on Thursday, the court said Hungary had shown "deliberate evasion" in applying EU policy, which it described as "an unprecedented and exceptionally serious infringement of EU law" and "a significant threat to the unity of EU law and to the principle of equality of the member states".

The fine was higher than sought by the European Commission, the EU executive, which took Hungary to the Luxembourg court. Judges also identified "aggravating circumstances", including the repeat behaviour that contributed to the severity of the fine.

Hungarian prime minister, Viktor Orbán responded to the judgement:

"The court's ruling is outrageous and unacceptable. It seems that illegal migrants are more important to the Brussels bureaucrats than their own European citizens."

The legal ruling comes less than three weeks before the Hungarian government takes charge of the rotating presidency of the EU council of ministers.

The Israeli military knew about Hamas' plans to attack southern Israel weeks before October 7 — even how many hostages the militant group planned to capture, according to a report from Israeli public broadcaster Kan.

The Israel Defense Force's Gaza Division reportedly distributed an internal intelligence document on September 19, 2023, outlining the details of Hamas' planned raid, according to Kan.

The document, which Kan reportedly saw, states that the IDF had observed Hamas conducting a series of trainings where militant fighters practiced attacking both Israeli military stations and civilian kibbutzim communities.

The IDF also knew, according to the document viewed by Kan, that Hamas trained its units on how to capture hostages and how to guard them once they were taken back to the Gaza Strip.

Abstract: Since human beings generally represent the most unpredictable element of any complex organisation, management techniques must be continually refined in the interest of maintaining the system. As we have discussed in Part 3, the major centres of power and influence in societies deploy every means available to involve as many citizens as possible in the global program of eventual submission to technocratic rule. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic gave a video interview to the the Swiss German-language publication Die Weltwoche, posted on June 8, in which he discussed in stark terms the danger of global conflict the world currently faces. In reference to the Western rhetoric claiming that Putin is bluffing: "If you bet on the fact that someone is bluffing, it means that you have no better cards. That you just believe that the other side has weaker cards. But you don't know and you didn't see his or their cards...."

A centuries-old plan to control humanity on a micro-level is being enforced through the construction of a new bio-digital prison system. The Era of Cognitive Warfare

To accelerate the paradigm shift toward total surveillance, cognitive warfare (CW) - a significant upgrade over mere psyops of the past - has been declared on the global population. The Israeli military likely killed more than a dozen of its own citizens during the October 7 attacks, a United Nations investigation has alleged.


The report by the UN commission investigating the attack on Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza documented "strong indications" that the "Hannibal Directive" was used in several instances that day, "harming Israelis at the same time as striking Palestinian militants."

The directive - officially revoked in 2016 - was put in place to prevent the capture of Israeli soldiers by enemy forces who may use them as bargaining chips, allowing troops to open fire even if it caused the death of a comrade.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday promised a ceasefire in Ukraine, provided that several conditions are met by Kyiv.

During a wide-ranging speech to foreign ministry officials, Putin stated that Russia would be ready to enter talks as soon as "tomorrow" to negotiate an end to conflict in Ukraine, provided that Ukrainian troops are withdrawn from several key regions. He also demanded that Ukraine give up all plans to join NATO, saying that the "moral responsibility for the continuation of bloodshed" would be on the West if the proposal was rejected.

Putin said: "I want to emphasize, it must be from the entire territory of these regions within their administrative borders as they existed at the time of their incorporation into Ukraine.

"As soon as Kyiv says they're ready for such a decision and start the real withdrawal of forces from these regions and officially declare rejection of plans to join NATO, from our side, immediately, literally the same minute, will come an order to stop the fire and start negotiations.

NATO countries have "comfortably exceeded" a target of placing 300,000 troops on high-readiness as the alliance grapples with the threat from Russia, a senior alliance official said Thursday.

NATO leaders agreed in the wake of Moscow's invasion of Ukraine in 2022 to massively ramp up the number of forces that alliance commanders can deploy within 30 days.


"The offers on the table from allies comfortably exceed the 300,000 that we set," the official said on condition of anonymity.

"Those are forces which allies have said to us, 'They are available to you as of now at that level of readiness'."

University of Southern California scientists have proven that the Earth's inner core is backtracking — slowing down — in relation to the planet's surface, as shown in new research published in Nature.

Movement of the inner core has been debated by the scientific community for two decades, with some research indicating that the inner core rotates faster than the planet's surface. The new USC study provides unambiguous evidence that the inner core began to decrease its speed around 2010, moving slower than the Earth's surface.

"When I first saw the seismograms that hinted at this change, I was stumped," said John Vidale, Dean's Professor of Earth Sciences at the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. "But when we found two dozen more observations signaling the same pattern, the result was inescapable. The inner core had slowed down for the first time in many decades. Other scientists have recently argued for similar and different models, but our latest study provides the most convincing resolution."
