There is a DARPA program that finished successfully. The defense system is a Counter-Unmanned Air System, which is to protect military bases from drones.

Oh the Romanian ode to Tradition, Roots and Love for What is True. If it were only be real. Romanians pride so much in being true to their nature, yet they we are one of the most hypocritical nations to have lived on this planet.
We are in TOP 5 Global on the Immigration List, Over 5-6 million working in foreign countries out of 21 million citizens, but "we stay true" to our values.

Pretty frank assessment of the situation in your homeland, from my perspective (Australia) we are still relatively well off in lots of ways despite having a certain level of corruption which is often just thought of as business, thankfully it’s not at the level as the leading nation we are a vassal of.

There was no such thing, so the Court validated the first tour of the presidential elections (after attempting some other maneuvers, like ordering a recounting of all votes, also an unprecedented and unjustified measure), finally giving the green light for the second tour.
- the Constitutional Court is not legally entitled to summon itself to evaluate other accusations pertaining to the electoral process--yet it did. It is not legally entitled to cancel an entire first tour in the presidential elections, particularly not retroactively, particularly not after it had already validated said tour, and particularly not while the voting for the second tour was already ongoing--yet it did. It was a grave breach of the constitution, unprecedented and illegal. Also groundless.
- the justification of the Constitutional Court for its decision is puerile and lacking any solid proof. Just empty, vague claims of interference from another country (not named in the written documents--because there was no proof, but mass media and politicians claimed it was Russia) in the electoral process. Pay note--the alleged interference does not pertain to the actual voting (as it was Romanian citizens who voted, like it was legal for them to do), but to the promotion of the candidate Calin Georgescu on social media, particularly Tik Tok having some alleged questionable points. No criminal charges could be laid, however (again, no proof, to substantiate them), and even if other claimed infringements had been proven (pertaining to some legal and financial rules), the only penalty legally applicable would have been--a fine for the candidate. Not the cancellation of over 9 million Romanian votes.
- just yesterday, when Romanian president Iohannis was asked in Bruxelles whether he had summoned the Russian ambassador in Romania to demand explanations regarding Russia's "grave interference" in Romania's electoral process (alleged in the justification notes of the Constitutional Court), he candidly admitted that no, he did not summon him, because he could not, because they were not able to produce any proof for their accusations so as to confront Russia's ambassador with. So then, why did the Constitutional Court cancel the elections, again?
Please remember that none of these pro-sovereignty parties have ruled the country at any point during these 35 years since the alleged fall of communism in Romania, and they are not responsible for the great hole into which the country has been sunk--as regards natural resources expropriation, poverty, economic collapse etc. etc. All the other local parties calling themselves pro-European--PSD, PNL, USR, nearly always in an alliance with UDMR, which is now led by the same Kelemen Hunor you've mentioned--are the ones who, in partnership with one another, are the ones who have always ruled Romania, in shifts, these past 35 years. People are not happy with the results, and that is why the people are seeking a different way, which the pro-sovereignty parties represent. Let's not insult and belittle that desperation and thirst for real change by saying that the voters thereof are those in "Europe washing toilets".
Your statements about Calin Georgescu are not factual. For example, he didn't say that water is pure energy, he said that water is more than just its H2O formula, that it carries information. This statement is supported by studies published in prestigious international journals. I have no intention to take all his odd statements apart to try and prove or disprove for you, because it is besides the point. Everyone has the right to their own opinions, their own worldview, shaped by their own experiences and chosen reading materials. Do not dismiss other opinions just because they are different, do not degrade different worldviews just because they don't match yours. Or at least, don't do so before at least trying to investigate a bit the possibility that there are things that others learned or experienced that you have not. That others might have a reason to distrust vaccine. To prefer drinking fresh water rather than bottled water. To eat natural food rather than genetically engineered poison. Not my guy, if you please. But are you serious with this? For real? The investigation you pointed out literally concluded that the campaign promoting CG on TikTok, those influencers you mentioned, were paid by PNL , a political party unrelated with CG . So yeah, CG literally spent 0 of his own money. It was PNL's money, or rather the Romanian people's money, given to PNL for campaign purposes. How PNL chose to spend it--partly on their own presidential candidate in these same elections (Nicolae Ciuca), partly to diminish an adversary's (AUR's George Simion) electoral pool by promoting a candidate with a similar message (Calin Georgescu), which is something frequently done in electoral battles all over the world--is nobody's responsibility but their own and has *nothing* to do with Calin Georgescu. Can you grasp that? There is no money trail, no documents or records that would even hint that CG asked PNL to create a campaign to promote him on TikTok (why would he even ask PNL, out of everyone possible?), so it's really not his fault that they tried a dirty tactic to use him against another candidate, and it came back to bite PNL in their own behind, when people, after hearing about CG, liked him a bit too much, and he ended up with more votes than PNL's own candidate, Ciuca.

Morever, I never said that CG is a good or truthful leader. I might have said, at most, that I resonated with his message? The second tour of elections was between CG and Lasconi. Those were the options. CG said he wanted a sovereign Romania, that he would put the country's interests first, that he was pro-traditional family, anti-war. His counter-candidate said that EU's interest come first, before Romania's, that she is pro-LGBTQ rights, that she would send Romanian troops into the Ukraine war if called for. My vote would have gone not to a particular person, but to a particular message. Even if CG's promises turned out to be lies, the worst he could have conceivably done would have been to do what Lasconi said she would have done for sure.

Once again your arguments rely on falsehoods and puerile interpretations. The war scenario CG promised to avert, unlike the other candidate Lasconi, was one where Romania would send troops to fight other countries' war (i.e. in Ukraine), not one where another country would invade Romania. The former would indeed have been perfectly achievable for a president, while the latter, while more difficult, also need not have been completely impossible. After all, so long as your foreign policy doesn't intentionally provoke war (we all know a recent contrary example) and your diplomacy and alliances are in place, no other country will invade you just for funsies, for no reason or purpose.

The only reason why I bothered to reply to your spurious statements and incoherent comments in the first place was because this is an international site, foreigners were discussing and showing concern regarding the unimaginable breach of democracy in Romania, and you--a Romanian citizen most directly affected by this illegal suspension of you and all your fellow citizens' most fundamental right in a so-called democracy (the right to vote)--you not only did not spread awareness of this truth, or at least kept quiet if unwilling to spread true awareness, but you actually inserted yourself into the discussion to derail it and even lower it into derision.

What amazed me about the polio vax was that the physical harms had been known for decades but the number of people who suffered from it were not that great. It wasn't until a rich Englishman's child came down with the symptoms that money was put into the vax.
