The name of the Budapest-based firm 'BAC Consulting' first cropped up in a statement by a Taiwanese manufacturer, Gold Apollo, whose label appeared on the pagers that exploded across Lebanon and beyond yesterday. Gold Apollo said it did not manufacture the devices and that they were made by its Hungarian partner, BAC Consulting.

"The product was not ours. It was only that it had our brand on it," Gold Apollo founder and president Hsu Ching-kuang told reporters at the company's offices in the northern Taiwanese city of New Taipei on Wednesday.

"We may not be a large company, but we are a responsible one," he said. "This is very embarrassing."

Gold Apollo said in a statement the AR-924 pager model was produced and sold by BAC, which it said was authorized to use its trademark for product sales in specific regions. "The design and manufacturing of the products are entirely handled by BAC," the statement said.

Hsu said there had been problems with remittances from BAC. "The remittance was very strange," he said, adding that payments had come through the Middle East.

Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs said that, from the beginning of 2022 until August this year, Gold Apollo exported 260,000 sets of pagers, including more than 40,000 sets between January and August this year.

The ministry said the pagers were exported mainly to European and American countries and that it had no records of direct exports of Gold Apollo pagers to Lebanon.

BAC A Mossad Front Company

According to the official company register in Hungary, BAC is involved in activities ranging from the manufacture of electronic medical devices and electronic components to the extraction of natural gas and crude oil. This is a classic scam company profile.

A reporter for German broadsheet DW visited the company's address in Budapest only to find a residential house split into apartments, with the only proof that the company is based there being an A4 sheet of paper with BAC's name taped to one of the glass doors, along with the names of several other companies. When asked, residents of one of the other apartments told DW that they didn't know this company and rarely see any correspondence sent to the address.

According to data on CompanyWall business, BAC Consulting posted a profit after tax of 18.3 million Hungarian forint (€46,400/$51,700) on revenue of 215 million Hungarian forint in 2023. In 2022 the profit after tax was 5.8 million Hungarian forint (€15,000/$16,500).

Early today BAC's website showed a login screen instead of the home page, and then eventually showed an error message, stating that "you don't have permission to access this resource." Several of the sites pages are however still available via archive.org.

The company's CEO and founder is allegedly Cristiana Bársony-Arcidiacono. Her CV claims she is a "scientist using my very diverse background to work on interdisciplinary projects for strategic decision-making." Among other positions, Bársony-Arcidiacono says on the site that she has served on the board of directors of the Earth Child Institute in NYC, a sustainability group. The group does not, however, list Bársony-Arcidiacono as among its board members on its website.

The DW reporter also visited Barsony-Arcidiacono's apartment at her registered address, but nobody opened the door.

Based on the website 'blurbs', BAC offers generic 'consulting' and has "expertise" in various projects like "Dutch Ministry LEAD Program: Libyan Accelerator Hub" and "DFID: Increasing Women Economic Empowerment in Ghana and DRC through Rural Financing". Neither of these 'programs' appear to actually exist, with a web search for them returning only the same pages on BAC.

The only physical 'product' that the website promotes is called "Nelkhael Jewels", with a web search for the term again only returning the BAC site itself.

Interestingly, the word 'Nelkhael' is the name of a Kabbalistic angel and one of the 72 angels who bear the mystical name of the Jewish God - 'Shemhamphorae' - i.e. Yahweh.

In short, BAC appears to be Mossad front company that exists only as a webpage. At this point, we also have to question whether Cristiana Bársony-Arcidiacono actually exists. Notably, Bársony is a prominent Jewish surname in Hungary.

As a Mossad front company, BAC was likely used to acquire the manufacturing design and limited rights from Gold Apollo to produce the pagers. The pagers themselves were likely manufactured some time ago by Mossad operatives elsewhere, possibly in Israel, where the explosives were added. With the pagers primed and in stock, the Mossad waited for the Hezbollah order to come through (about which they were probably informed by spies in Lebanon) and fulfilled the order via another front company.

More Devices Explode in Lebanon

The extent of the Israeli infiltration of Hezbollah's technical supply chain goes beyond pagers however. Latest news is that several other types of communication devices have exploded today, Wednesday, across Beirut. Devices such as walkie-talkies, fingerprint security locks, home solar energy systems and other types of domestic radio devices are involved.
