He can't quite believe it, so, pointing to a cake on his left he says to the guy behind the counter "How much is that cake?"
Guy behind the counter - "That's a pound, mate".
Pointing to a cake on the right, he says: "How much is that one?"
Guy behind the counter - "That's a pound, mate. All the cakes in this shop are a pound".
So anyway, the guy wanders 'round the shop 'til he finds a cake he really likes the look of. Brings it up to the counter, and the guy behind the counter says - "That's two pounds, mate".
So the guy says to him: "Hold on, a minute ago you said all the cakes in this shop were a pound!"
And the guy behind the counter shakes his head and says "Uh-uh, that's m'dearer cake".
