It is really a quest for love, because to truly love something we must know it for what it really is. Her story would have been much more dramatic, full of horror, bombs being dropped on her and her family, loss of lives of loved ones. Having to flee from ones own country to find some kind of safe refuge only to be told we don't want you after trekking through several different countries.
Risk being exploited by gangs taking what ever money there families have promising them a safe passage. Being Exploited again by criminals selling useless life vests with the risk of being washed up on a seashore lifeless. Being afraid that they might be used by a gang of human traffickers. The demonization of your religion for being a Muslim, the list goes on.
Yes real life is far more dramatic.
