The rescued are not in the poorer Euro states - unlike commonly believed - but mainly in Germany and France. A large part of the money ends up with the creditors of the banks that want to be saved or must be saved. And although these investors have obviously made bad investments, they are - against all logic of the free market economy - protected at the expense of the general public against any losses. Why? Who gets the money? Actually, simple questions, but that regard the core of European identity. Maybe the most passionate film on the banking crisis.

Remember that the EU here seems to be following in our USA footsteps, as we did the same thing with Mexico, Russia, Thailand etc back under the Clinton regime.... had to have an excuse for bailing out the idiots on Wall Street who lost so much money in those countries... sort of like a few years ago, only we didn't have anyone to blame, so we simply claimed they were 'too big to fail'.... which in our bizarro world, means 'too big not to fail, and too big to jail'.... and Japan's being at this all this time as well, never having corrected their bad banks who continue to prowl the streets as zombies for decades now... the walking dead, they've always been there, only in recent years, they've been coming out of their basement closets. Maybe those zombie movies/tv shows aren't too far wrong in their depiction of the situation? Only the masks make them look human... but we all know they really aren't.
