French Rafale fighter jets launched the first French air strike against IS in Iraq. French President Francois Hollande explained in an official statement that the target was a logistics depot, saying:
"This morning at 9:40, our Rafale planes carried out a first air strike against a logistics depot of the terrorist organization Deash (IS - Arabic) . The objective was hit and completely destroyed. ... Other operations will follow".France was the first nation to join the U.S. in launching airstrikes in Iraq, while Australia also deployed some fighter jets. A large part of the 600 troops Australia deploys to Iraq, however, are special forces, which according to some analysts were deployed to compensate for the U.S. political difficulties with deploying ground troops.
Comment: US policy being: If you can't go through a problem, go over it, under it, or around it.
The U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, general Martin Dempsey, was in France to meet his French counterpart General Pierre de Villiers when the air strike was launched.
It is noteworthy that Dempsey has been named as having been in command of at least parts of the chemical weapons attack that was launched by Liwa-al-Islam against the Damascus suburb of East Ghouta in 2013.
Dempsey praised the French action in Iraq, saying that "the French were our first ally and they are there again for us. ... It just reminds me why relationships matter".
The U.S. Congress, meanwhile, approved U.S. President Obama's plan to train and arm some 5,000 "Syrian opposition" fighters in Saudi Arabia per year.
Obama alleged that these fighters would be screened to assure that it was only the "moderate opposition", that was armed and supported by the United States.
The claim flies in the face of the fact that the then chairman of the Senate's Armed services Committee, Senator John McCain, in April 2013, illegally entered Syria to meet with both the then military leader of the so-called Free Syrian Army, General Salam Idriss, and the leader of ISIL, al-Baghdadi, in one room, in a safe house in Syria.
Note that the latter, al-Baghdadi, is now better known as the Caliph of the Islamic State, or Caliph Ibrahim.

Comment: The article states:
The green light for the use of ISIS brigades to carve up Iraq, widen the Syria conflict into a greater Middle East war and to throw Iran off-balance was given behind closed doors at the Atlantic Council meeting in Turkey, in November 2013, told a source close to Saudi - Lebanese billionaire Saad Hariri, adding that the U.S. Embassy in Ankara is the operation's headquarter. They seem to be using ISIS to further their plans for redrawing the Middle East. The ultimate objective being Russia.
He said that ISIL/IS was about to have fulfilled its role in Iraq. That is, the ousting of the al-Maliki government, the weakening of the state, and the establishment of a de facto autonomy for the oil-rich, Kurdish administrated North. He added that
"the other function was to serve as a pretext for expanding the war against Syria which already failed in June - July 2012 after the defeat of the 20,000 plus strong Libyan Brigade under the command of the "alleged" NATO double agents Mahdi al-Harati and Abdelhakim Belhadj failed in its invasion of Syria via al-Mafraq in Jordan."The war against Islamic State will be Syria War Version 2.0," he added. Commenting on the photo with McCain , he noted that:
"It is merely a question of who is going to wear what hat, and who will have to play the boring role of "moderate" opposition"."Training 5,000 "moderate opposition fighters" is good propaganda but far removed from the reality which shows that there never was a "moderate" opposition other than a minority that served as fig leaf", he concluded. It is noteworthy that the rise of ISIL in Syria coincided with the April 2013 decision of the European Union to list its ban on the import of Syrian oil from "Rebel-held territories". The Islamic State is currently earning some 3 million US dollar on revenue from the sales of Syrian and Iraqi oil per day.

we need to make sure future terrorist groups learn how to behead non-believers andthose who step out of line. Send them to Saudi..
