About 100 brown pelicans have been found dead in Brevard County in the past two months and officials are not sure why, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said.
The birds are found emaciated and filled with parasites.
"The pelicans are emaciated and have heavy parasite counts, and, to our knowledge, other bird species have not been affected," said FWC researcher Dan Wolf in a press release.
Researchers are assessing the birds to figure out what is going on. They sent samples to the National Wildlife Health Center for testing but have not yet heard back.
Additional testing will tell researchers whether botulism is the cause. According to officials, botulism is sometimes the cause of die-offs like this.
But botulism usually kills birds too quickly for them to become emaciated.

We've had recent deaths (unexplained) of both Pelicans & Manatees lately.
[Link]. Manatees are usually written off to cold, but in that we've had a relatively warm winter, so "they" can't blame it on that. (In cold weather, the pelicans can fly south.)
The one correlation that seems of significance, is that we have been "chemtrailed" severely all February through early March.. You've had to see it to believe it. I can recall several days of chemtrail filled skies, and within same you could see where one or more "trail" had cut off and then "restarted" at the same altitude. (If a jet engine cuts off, when it restarts, it SHOULD be at a different altitude.) Also, I've seen many times, planes fllying high above the chemtrails, with normal contrails, and chemtrails well below them. And at that time, (approximately concurrent with the latest end of our chemtrails), UF, based in Gainesville, announced that it had successfully worked with HAARP to create a super plasma ball which they claimed had happened months ago. Note they never said where nor exactly when. (I imagine this was because of all the chemtrail complaints here this past February.)
Given my training, I'm well familiar with inversions, both thermal and humidity related, and these weren't those. Indeed, you know it's getting to be obvious when folks who've never thought twice about buying into the official version of 9/11 (i.e., they've agreed with it) start to, and repeatedly, comment on the chemtrails, asking "what the hell is going on up there?" Thus, it seems - and likely is - far more than merely "cometary dust loading." ("CDL") Sorry, to disagree with any who've not experienced it here. Given what I've seen, I'm not going to go into all the other obvious factors that would logically rule CDL out as a cause to explain away those sights, although I won't rule it out as an exacerbating factor. Indeed, I agree with the basic premise that CDL Is occurring. I will note that I am savvy enough to know that if this gets bad enough, that the PTB see that it should have SOME answer, and that whatever that answer will be, it will likewise be wrong.
In a fair land, with fair laws, fairly applied, the cause(s) would have long ago been reasonably discovered or reasonably ruled out. I have no expectation for that to occur in this land, which, with its covertly contaminated carrion, remains simply yet another part of of the similarly tainted ameriKa.
