In 2011, Nestle recalled some other Lean Cuisine dinners after customers found red plastic in their food. A 2008 recall of Lean Cuisine entrees was linked to chunks of blue plastic in some meals.
When asked about the multiple recalls, Nestle representative Hannah Coan said in an e-mail: "We observe stringent standards in our own facilities and with our vendors who supply ingredients to us. When we become aware of an issue, we investigate thoroughly and act promptly with our consumer's health and safety as our first priority."
