14-month-old baby and old man die after attacks by stray dogs on same day in 2 separate incidents in Andhra Pradesh, India

In a tragic incident in Andhra Pradesh's NTR district, a 14-month-old boy lost his life after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs, police reported. The boy was playing outside his home in Model Colony, Penuganchiprolu, when the dogs attacked him on Monday.

Despite being rushed to a nearby government hospital in Nandigama, the child succumbed to his injuries.

In the wake of the boy's death, his family and local villagers staged a protest at the old cinema hall in Penuganchiprolu, demanding a permanent solution to the stray dog issue. The protestors also called for justice for the child's death. Gopal Rao, the grieving father, shared that a group of stray dogs attacked his son while he was playing, causing his fatal injuries. He also noted that stray dogs have been roaming the village in large numbers.

Concerned parents in the area have expressed fear for their children's safety, now hesitant to allow them to play outside.

A 70-year-old man, Angara Surya Rao, from Talavacharla village in Andhra Pradesh, passed away shortly after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs. While he was taken to a local health center, his death within an hour raised questions about the cause. Authorities are investigating whether the dog bites or other age-related factors contributed to his demise.

A man died one hour after being bitten by a pack of stray dogs in Konaseema district on Monday. The deceased, identified as 70-year-old Angara Surya Rao from Talavacharla village in Alamuru Mandal, was attacked by stray dogs on Monday morning and was admitted to the Community Health Centre in Alamuru.

Footage shows a mum walking down the street before she was killed and her body was ripped apart in a savage attack by a pack of dogs.

The body of Zhanna Khusainova, 48, was found on wasteland covered in bites with one leg severed and her scalp missing in Russian city Kazan.

She had been on her way to a supermarket where she worked as a cashier when she was set upon by the dogs. A search for the mum-of-one had been underway after she failed to arrive for work and her body was found.

CCTV footage shows her hurrying to work in a dark green jacket and carrying a brown handbag. Then seconds later she was viciously attacked by a pack of dozens of dogs - strays living in an insecure shelter close to industrial premises on her route to work.

More than 100 twitchers have flocked to a quiet street to catch a glimpse of an ultra-rare bird which has never been seen in Yorkshire before.

It is thought the scarlet tanager has arrived in Yorkshire after being blown off course by strong winds from a hurricane in North America.

But the rare little bird has somehow found its way to the back gardens of a number of homes in Shelf in West Yorkshire - much to the delight of bird lovers from Yorkshire and beyond.

Joe Eckersley travelled around 40 minutes from his home in Leeds to see the rare bird on Monday morning. He said he usually travels up to two hours to see birds after becoming interested in 'twitching' when he was 10 years old.

So he was delighed when he discovered the extremely rare bird was a few miles down the road.

Police are investigating the horror mauling of a four-year-old boy who was set upon by a pack of dogs while playing with his friends after school.

Simikuso 'Simi' Ntswayibana sustained fatal injuries in the deadly attack in Sedgefield, in South Africa's Western Cape Province, on Tuesday, November 5. The Sedgefield community has reportedly been left devastated by the loss, with the youngster's heartbroken grandfather, named as Johnson Dyan, telling local media that his grandson was playing with friends when the attack took place.

He and his friends were playing together after attending school at the local Wielie Walie Creche when a pack of dogs began chasing them. One of the dogs was able to catch up with Simikuso and started viciously mauling him before he was able to get away and run into some bushes.

A 35-year-old woman died after getting attacked by two pit bulls at the Fontana home where she was staying, Fontana police said.

Juanita L. Sanchez was injured on Sunday, Nov. 3, and pronounced dead that day at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, according to the San Bernardino Coroner's Office. The family had taken in four stray pit bulls some months earlier, said Sgt. Nathan Weiske, a Police Department spokesperson. The family later invited Sanchez, a family friend, to live with them.

There had been no problems between Sanchez and the dogs, Weiske said. But around 3 a.m. on Sunday, Sanchez and another resident were in the backyard of the home in the 13800 block of Jurupa Avenue when suddenly two of the dogs bit Sanchez in the neck. Two other people were injured attempting to rescue Sanchez.

"They were feverishly trying to pull them off of her," Weiske said. Animal control officers euthanized the two dogs, he said.

Investigators recommended that no criminal charges be brought. "They could tell that this was just a horrifically tragic accident," the sergeant said.

A man died after being mauled by a pack of dogs in south Kansas City, Missouri, last Saturday, police said.

On Saturday, Nov. 2, police responded to the 3200 block of East 80th Street on reports of an animal attack.

Police were told multiple dogs were attacking the victim, whose family identified to KSHB 41 News as Chris Culbertson.

A second victim contacted police and told them she was also attacked.

Culbertson was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, family and police told KSHB 41 News.

A boy, aged 2 years 7 months, has died in what is believed to be an attack by a pack of wild dogs in Kampung Sungai Tohok here yesterday.

Semporna district police chief Supt Mohd Sabri Zainol said they received a report about the matter from the victim's uncle at 10.33 am yesterday.

"The police also opened an investigation paper classified as sudden death, and an autopsy will be conducted today at the Tawau Hospital's forensics unit," he said in a statement here tonight.

He said that the Semporna police station would work together with the local authorities to conduct an operation regarding the wild dogs to ensure the safety of residents.

He also advised the public not to spread the video of the incident out of sensitivity to the victim's family.

A mother ran outside screaming 'my baby's dead' after a ten-year-old girl was mauled to death by an 'XL bully' dog.

Witnesses spoke today of the traumatic scenes in a sleepy Yorkshire village that sparked a huge emergency response on Friday afternoon.

The schoolgirl - known locally as 'Savannah' and described as 'beautiful and intelligent' - died after being bitten by her family's dog inside their home.

The family, who have not been named, live in a static caravan in a compound behind a shop premises in East Heslerton, North Yorkshire.

The girl's father works as a mechanic there and she is the couple's only child, said local residents.

North Yorkshire Police said the girl had a 'close, loving relationship' with the dog that went on to kill her. The force said the mutt would be put down.

Tragically, before her death the 10-year-old reportedly boasted to pals: 'I have got a new pet - an XL Bully.'

A man's leg has been completely severed below the knee after he was attacked by a shark while surfing in Hawaii.

The 61-year-old man was surfing off Waiehu Beach Park on the island of Maui on Friday morning when a shark bit him.

Police officers who arrived at the scene first tried to control the bleeding with tourniquets.

His right leg was "completely severed just below the knee," Maui County said in a statement.

The man was alert while being treated on shore and then taken to Maui Memorial Medical Centre in critical condition.
