England: Kettering - Flash in night sky then object are seen flying across the sky - twice!

Time: 1115 pm

Witness Statement: Me and my girlfriend had just finished watching a DVD, we went outside to have a cigarette, we were talking, suddenly a couple of flashes of pale white light crossed our perceptive view of the night sky. I asked my girlfriend if that was lighting, but before I could finish my sentence, within a matter of seconds, an eerie strange light pulsed from green to a moment of deep red, stretching across, illuminating a part the sky in front of us. It was a starry clear night with some patches of cloud; the cloud where the light occurred seemed to intensify the color of this unusual looking light. After our awe and disbelief of what we had seen, my mind tried to rationalize this phenomenon, the first thing that entered my mind was an aura, due to some atmospheric changes or something.

Witness Statement: Went outside to take the rubbish out last night when I noticed two bright orange lights moving fast in the sky, going in a single straight line from West to East, below cloud level. No noise whatsoever and it was a very still night. They went out of sight but were followed by another one, then two more and one final one. All following the exact same line, except the two that were together, which flew side by side.

The light emanating from these objects was steady (not flickering like a Chinese lantern) and quite bright - was able to take a picture with my iPhone 2mp camera and they were clearly visible.

A "jelleyfish-like" unidentified flying object (UFO) raised eyebrows when it was apparently spotted over the skies of South Woodford on Friday (July 17).

Three witnesses said they saw the object at around 10pm.

Erick Harding, one of those who claimed to have seen the mysterious craft, wrote on a UFO website: "[It] looked like a jelly fish with a fire at the bottom.

"[It] went off into the west and then came back once more."

Is this further evidence of UFO's patrolling the skies above Shropshire?

Professional wedding photographer Helen Joynson captured these remarkable images while staying at her parents' house at Fitz, near Shrewsbury.

The 40-year-old said she had not even realised there had been anything unusual in the sky until noticing up to three UFOs when processing her digital photographs on a computer.

Mrs Joynson said the snaps were taken on a pleasant summer's evening on July 12 at about 10.30pm.

Townsfolk spotted strange light zipping across the St Helens skyline over the weekend.

A number of residents contacted the St Helens Reporter to report seeing weird lights floating across several parts of the borough.

There were three separate sightings in Parr, Haydock and Newton-le-Willows on Saturday night alone.

One resident in Parr said he saw three objects similar to Chinese lanterns zooming across the night sky at around 10.50pm.

"I've never seen anything like it before but I have heard plenty of talk from other folk who reckon they've seen similar things," said the man, who asked not to be named.

Colorado, July 18, 2009 - Bright White Object; Lakewood, CO. MUFON Case # 18176.

Two Colorado witnesses "saw a very bright white object traveling north to south" near Lakewood and five minutes east of Bear Creek Park. The object was moving "just over the rooftops of the apartment buildings," at about "about 150 knots." The object stopped momentarily, then "performed a few quick squiggles" before it disappeared.

Number of witnesses: One
Number of objects: Two but separate
Shape of objects: First V shape, second oval shaped white ball.
Weather Conditions: Approx 13c, no wind, some cloud cover.

Description: At 6.35pm I went outside in the backyard to call a friend and chat, I looked up at the sky and to the north I spotted what I initially thought was a falling star and got excited because I had seen what I thought was THE biggest falling star a few weeks prior that was actually blue and orange as it fell, this 'star' however after appearing larger, flattened out and moved slowly and in a controlled manner across the sky (not the right speed for a plane or a falling star). As it moved slowly across the sky it began dipping lower and I knew I'd lose sight of it behind the tree line. Before I lost it, it turned? and became like a V shape with the apex pointing downward, but not a straight V, almost like the symbol of Aries. It was very clear and soundless and 'felt' to be a fair distance from me. I have perfect vision btw.

Shape of objects: Lights - vague outline of triangular shape with longer nose, possibly concave between bottom 2 points
Weather Conditions: clear sky, after dusk, could see stars clearly, sky was a deep blue but not dark

Description: I was looking up at the stars, which I could see clearly (this tends to be unusual with our normally cloudy skies), and I suddenly saw a bright star-like light (white with reddish around edges) which faded quickly as it moved slow about 2 inches toward the north. I thought this was a shooting star or something. Then another bright star-like light shone to just the east of it, but this one started shooting around wildly like a pinball machine, erratic and quickly with no discernible pattern and at extreme angles, but completely unlike a plane possibly could, within about a 5 in radius (from my perspective).

Argentina: Strange Lights Over Nogoyá

Local residents informed Diario Nogoyá of manifestations of strange lights in the sky that moved in different directions. The phenomenon occurred last Thursday and happened again on Thursday evening toward Victoria.

These persons, living in a field near the farm (estancia) that was the property of former governor Carlos Contín, claimed seeing lights in the sky traveling from left to right for a while, before ascending and returning in the opposite direction to their original position. Upon seeing that the phenomenon did not coincide with known sources of light, such as the highway lighting or a nearby silo manufacturing plant, other people were summoned to verify their sightings. The event occurred once more on the following day, on Friday night and in the same direction.
