Ocean City - A mysterious, glowing hot object fell from the sky and landed on the beach in Ocean City last week, but it remains uncertain this week just what it is and from where it came.
Early last Tuesday morning, an Ocean City cab driver was walking down the Boardwalk in the area of 22nd Street when he saw a bright glowing object fall from the sky from north to south and land on the beach roughly 20 yards away from him. Classic Cab Company driver Derrick Miller typically drops his taxi back off at company headquarters on 26th Street after his shift and walks down the Boardwalk to his home in the downtown area.
Over the years, he has established a relationship with a resident wild fox that inhabits the area around 22nd Street in front of the Grand Hotel and often brings food to the animal. Early last Tuesday morning, Miller was following his normal routine when he saw a bright light flash across the sky from the north with the glowing object landing on the beach about 20 yards away.
The news was slipped out so as not to attract attention. An amendment was made to an existing document in the freedom of information section of the MoD website, entitled "How to report a UFO sighting". The announcement states: "In over fifty years, no UFO report has revealed any evidence of a potential threat to the United Kingdom." It goes on to say that the "MOD will no longer respond to reported UFO sightings or investigate them". When rumbled, the MoD press office implied that the money saved (about £50,000 a year) would be spent on body armour in Afghanistan. I doubt it will be. As someone whose 21-year MoD career included a posting in a financial policy division, I suspect that's not how it works. Finance has played a part in this, I am sure. The defence budget is under huge pressure and the UFO project was doubtless an easy target for the Treasury and MoD financiers.
Location of Sighting: Ratby, Leics
Date of Sighting: Dec 14 or 15th 09
Time: Early evening
Witness Statement: This is my 3rd such sighting since Nov 5th. This time I am reporting this sighting in hind sight, mainly because it is becoming quite common place to see these anomalies in the night sky.
This time, the reason I didn't submit sighting asap, was to see how many more sightings there would be since then .
The thing that caught my eye with his one, again an orange light at some distance to me but low in the sky, was the fact that when I first noticed it ,(again as I walked the dog ), was that it was stationary like a star. It was directly in front of me in a southerly direction, then true to form it started to move laterally to the east, there was a plane passing in the same area of sky, slightly higher and nearer, probably on it's approach in to East Mids Airport.
All little Diane Garder wanted to do was play. As she stood in her aunt's yard one afternoon, she noticed someone standing nearby.
"When I was three years old I saw a shadow person," Garder said. "It looked curiously at me as I played in the backyard of my aunt's home."
Alone in the yard - her family was inside - she approached the shadowy figure; it didn't like that.
"The entity looked at me and when I acknowledged it, it seemed to have feared me," Garder said. "I chased it and said, 'Wait wait. It's OK. Who are you? Do you want to play?' As a little child I did not know yet enough that I should have been scared."
She chased this figure until it ran between two trees, through a fence and vanished.
UFO investigators claim to have captured video evidence of a strange triangular shaped craft with pulsing lights flying in the skies above a Shropshire landmark.
Phil Hoyle and Peter Jones, of the Shrewsbury-based UFO Investigations & Research Unit, conducted a sky watch on Monday as they claim the winter solstice is also one of the most active evenings for UFO sightings globally.
Mr Hoyle, and other witnesses who all claim to have had UFO encounters, say they saw a large triangle near The Wrekin for more than 10 minutes. He said he believed no military aircraft were being used at the time about 9.22pm.
Mr Hoyle said the footage of the UFO was captured from the top of Lyth Hill, near Shrewsbury, in the direction of The Wrekin. He estimated the craft to be about four miles away.
Date of Sighting: December 20, 2009
Time of Sighting: From 10:30 PM to 10:54 PM MST
Location of Sighting: on Highway 89A Between Sedonia and Cornville, Arizona (See Map)
Description: On Highway 89A about 10:38 PM with one car about 400 yards ahead of me and another about 2 miles behind me, I saw a bright white orb coming up from behind ahead of the car following it. I thought it was a motorcycle because of the one large "headlight", however it caught up to me in one second and went to the left lane as if to pass. I started over a hill and looked back and it vanished. I figured it pulled off into a rest stop there. Further down the road I saw it coming again. This time it was following the stripes in the road center at a high rate of speed. Again it caught up to me, but now it had a small "searchlight" on it's side, smaller, but both extremely bright. I would estimate the big "orb" to be about 4 feet around and the smaller maybe a foot in diameter. Again I went around a curve and both lights pulled off to the right and vanished.
Location of Sighting: Taunton Somerset UK
Date of Sighting: 20/21 December 2009
Time: 00.30
Witness Statement: I've included street names to clarify the situation to those of you who know Taunton.
Tonight as I was walking my dogs, I headed home down the top end of Rochester Road, Priorswood. At a point about opposite the blocks of garages, (near the turning into Ludlow Avenue) the road turns slightly and my view ahead was now straight over the town. This part of Taunton is fairly elevated above the town centre - an excellent view-point on bonfire night, for example.
I checked the whereabouts of my free-ranging dogs (all close around me as it happened) and looked ahead down the road. As I did so I noticed a bright orange light coming towards me in the sky. At the time I noticed it, I guessed that it was probably more or less over the town centre - perhaps one and a half miles to two miles away and seemingly only somewhat above eye level to me.
Location of Sighting: Manchester
Date of Sighting: 18/12/09
Time: 17:50
Witness Statement: Was on my way home from work in Leigh going through Glazebrook when I noticed a big golden light over towards Altrincham. I stopped my car & got out at a farm entrance...I had my camcorder with me so I started filming.
At 1st i thought it might be just planes on their landing cycles but I saw no FAA on these big bright lights. As I continued to watch I also noticed a very strange looking, slow moving plane heading towards Warrington. May well be just a plane but it does look a bit weird when I zoom in.

Location of Sighting: Ely Cambs
Date of Sighting: 21st Dec
Time: 8.30 am
Witness Statement: First saw the silver ellipse from downstairs and rushed upstairs to see it better. It was just hovering angular bright silver ellipse at diagonal in direction of Stuntney. It minimally approached and retreated and then it changed direction looking more like a shooting star angle - it actually rotated a half circle so it was reflected and moved fairly quick to the left in the sky.
