Here is a copy of a letter actor and comedian Rob Schneider sent to California Governor Jerry Brown's office Friday. It is posted at canaryparty.org.

Schneider is to be commended and supported in every possible way for stepping forward.

Schneider writes: "I have copies of the original CDC report that was later suppressed and fraudulently changed."

I urge Schneider to post that report now.

A new study of self-awareness by Kessler Foundation researchers shows that persons with multiple sclerosis (MS) may be able to improve their self-awareness through task-oriented cognitive rehabilitation.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture, genetic engineering of US corn, beets and soy has increased from 65 percent in 2006 to a shocking 90 percent in 2013. Why do so many countries around the world outright reject GMOs when America is forcing them down the throats of the general population without so much as a label for the victims to distinguish? If the word victim sounds drastic, it's time to consider just what it is humans are consuming on a daily basis, and how it shows up in hundreds of thousands of food items and ingredients sold in just about every store.

Consider this: What if confusion was for sale -- would you buy some? Most bees that touch down on pesticides end up unable to locate the honeycomb and they just die. Could GMOs be the culprit of most Alzheimer's and Parkinson's? Your food may be able to withstand heavy doses of herbicides and pesticides, but can you? Your cells may be mutating as you read right now, but there's a way to repair them. First, turn off the TV and throw away the newspaper. You won't find the "repair mechanisms" there. Throw away all of your "commodity crops" that are present in 70 percent of the processed foods found on grocery store shelves.

Next, if you have a smart phone, get the free phone app "Fooducate" (pronounced like educate) here and you can scan the barcodes of all food products to find out instantly if they are GMO. Yes, this is a great tool on the battlefield of the "Food War."

Then, check out GMO labeling laws in 64 different countries around the world, including China, Brazil, Japan, Portugal, South Africa and the entire European Union.

Last year in the USA, 52 GMO labeling bills were proposed in 26 states. Maine and Connecticut are two of those success stories requiring labeling of "Frankenfoods" and serving as beacons of truth about the health detriment of consuming pesticides.

Comment: Hopefully this article is preaching to the choir. If not, you may be ingesting toxicity levels that are a time bomb. If you have GMO foods in every meal, how many GMO ingredients would that be? What is your GMO consumption for the day...every day? A Santa Barbara man with a contagious case of drug-resistant tuberculosis was wanted on an arrest warrant Friday so he can complete treatment, health officials said.

Agustin Zeferino, 24, discontinued treatment for the disease two weeks ago, Santa Barbara County Health Department officials said. Zeferino poses a serious health risk to anyone who comes in contact with him, the department said.

"We do everything we can to enable and give patients incentives to be compliant with receiving treatments," said Charity Thoman, the tuberculosis controller for Santa Barbara County. "This is the most dangerous form of tuberculosis and it can be life-threatening if it goes untreated."
Drug-resistant tuberculosis is a highly contagious and rare form of the disease that can be spread by coughing or sneezing.
It is the second time in the past month that California health officials issued a warrant for a TB patient refusing treatment, though the move is extremely rare. Eduardo Rosas Cruz, 25, was arrested last month in Fresno after refusing treatment.

Thoman said patients will sometimes go missing for a short period of time, but can usually be found before the health department takes legal action. If a patient fails to receive treatment for an extended period of time, health officials work with the district attorney's office to decide whether to pursue criminal charges.

Drug-resistant tuberculosis requires 18-24 months of treatment, but is curable, Thoman said. By law, health officials can't force a patient to be treated for tuberculosis, but officials can use the courts to isolate the patient from the public. That is when officials offer treatment.

Shock! Many in U.S. lack knowledge about Ebola transmission

Although the Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC) reports no known cases of Ebola transmission in the United States, a Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH)/SSRS poll released shows that four in ten (39%) adults in the U.S. are concerned that there will be a large outbreak in the U.S., and a quarter (26%) are concerned that they or someone in their immediate family may get sick with Ebola over the next year.

The nationally representative poll of 1,025 adults was conducted August 13-17, 2014 by researchers at HSPH and SSRS, an independent research company. The margin of error for total respondents is +/-3.6 percentage points at the 95% confidence level.

Ebola hemorrhagic fever is a severe, often fatal disease in humans and nonhuman primates, such as monkeys, gorillas and chimpanzees. Four countries have reported infections: Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone. Officials report 1,350 have died as of August 21, 2014 and over 2,473 people have been infected since March 2014. The number of people dying in West Africa from the ongoing Ebola outbreak is poised to surpass the total number of people to ever have died from the virus in just 10 days, according to World Health Organization figures. Up until sometime in early 2014, the Ebola virus had killed 1,548 people since being discovered in 1976. As of Monday, Ebola had killed more than 1,350 people across West Africa in the five months since the outbreak was first declared there. Another 1,000 people could be dead by the end of October if the death rate continues at its current pace.

Despite an influx of money, materials and personnel, an average of more than 25 people died each day this August in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria, according to the latest WHO figures. That rate has nearly doubled since July, when 13 people on average died each day.

A fever of unidentified origin has killed 13 people in the northwestern Democratic Republic of Congo since August 11, the health minister said. "All 13 people who have died suffered from a fever, diarrhea, vomiting and, in a terminal stage, of vomiting a black matter," Dr Felix Kabange Numbi said late Thursday.

So far, about 80 people who came into contact with the deceased are being monitored at their homes, he added.

But a World Health Organization (WHO) official and the medical charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said Friday it was too soon to tell whether a hemorrhagic fever caused the deaths, while an epidemic of often fatal and highly contagious Ebola raged in west Africa to the north.

"Many died presenting haemorragic symptoms, but there is also serious malaria that can cause this type of symptom, or typhoid fever," a WHO official based in Kinshasa told AFP, asking not to be named. "We're still waiting for biological confirmation to find out what kind of disease this is," said Amandine Colin of MSF, which has teams in the affected territory of Boende, in Equateur province.

Samples have been taken to be examined at the National Institute of Biomedical Research as well as a specialised laboratory in Gabon, Numbi said, adding that the results should come within days.

Of the 3,000 species of mosquitoes in the world, roughly 200 can be found in the US, which all differ in their persistence, biting habits, and ability to transmit disease.

Protecting yourself from mosquito bites not only prevents that horrid itching but can also lessen your chances of contracting several mosquito-borne illnesses, such as encephalitis, yellow fever, malaria, West Nile virus, or dengue.

It is estimated that between one and two million people worldwide die each year from mosquito-borne illnesses, the most common being malaria.[1]

Most commercial insect repellants contain a chemical called DEET, which should be used with caution, if at all. Many studies have found DEET to have harmful effects.

Fortunately, there are plenty of tricks for keeping biting bugs at bay, and they don't involve applying toxic chemicals to your skin. There are also several natural remedies that can help take the sting out of your insect bites, should your preventative efforts fail.

Although the above video is highly informative, it is dangerously wrong at the end as it states that insect repellants with DEET are the only ones that work. That is simply untrue as there are many safer and effective alternatives, like thebug spray we have in our store.

Low-salt diets increase your risk of death by 27%

The Wall Street Journal recently reported on the longstanding, international debate over salt and sodium guidelines and whether or not our current targets are set too low for optimal health. A new study came out recently in the New England Journal of Medicine supporting the belief that cutting back on sodium too much actually poses health hazards, including premature death. This study found that those who consumed fewer than 3,000 milligrams (mg) of sodium a day had a 27% higher risk of death or a serious event such as a heart attack or stroke in that period than those whose intake was estimated at 3,000 to 6,000 mg.

While many researchers supported the findings as further evidence corroborating with other studies done in the past few years, there are many still who adamantly support the recommendations to consume less than 2,300 mg of sodium daily; the most notable of these advocates being the American Heart Association. It amazes me that this is still a debate, with the amount of evidence that has accumulated to this point discrediting the current guidelines and demonstrating that they may do more harm than good if adhered to.
