Proposal is the latest in a series by Italian government, led by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni ,to regulate public expression of religion

Italy has long been one of Europe's strongest defenders of religious freedom despite the influence of the Vatican.

But now, the country is poised to outlaw the use of traditional Islamic attire like burqas, a move the government says will strengthen its tradition of religious liberty by requiring all faiths to operate with "full transparency" and within the limits of Italian law.

The proposed law, which is set to be debated in Italy's parliament before the end of this year, would ban "religiously motivated garments that obscure identity or impose non-transparent forms of [religious] affiliation," according to a draft of the proposal published in the Italian media.

France could be involved in Charlie Kirk murder - Telegram founder

Pavel Durov has weighed in on claims that the US conservative activist's assassin was trained with the French Legion.

The allegations that the French government is behind the assassination of US conservative activist Charlie Kirk are "entirely possible," Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov has said.

The Russian tech entrepreneur was commenting on right-wing commentator Candace Owens' claims that Kirk's assassin "trained with the French Legion 13th Brigade with multi-state involvement." The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler James Robinson, has been formally charged with aggravated murder and related counts in Kirk's killing and is being held without bail as prosecutors indicate they may seek the death penalty.

In the same X post, shared on Friday, Owens said she had been warned by a high-ranking official that French President Emmanuel Macron had "authorized professional units" to carry out her assassination.

A Russian court could bring down an Italian engineering giant

MAIRE industrial group
The Italian industrial group MAIRE has found itself at the center of a high-profile court case in Russia that may have catastrophic consequences for the company's multibillion-euro business.

The Russian division of EuroChem has filed a lawsuit against MAIRE's subsidiary Tecnimont S.p.A. and its Russian branch. The total amount of claims is about €2 billion, which is comparable to the entire group's market capitalization.

The scale of the threat is reflected in the group's financial indicators, which raise serious concerns: its market capitalization is €2.1 billion, free cash flow is €342.5 million, and total debt is €1.2 billion. Recognition of the obligations under the lawsuit could lead to a technical default and the need for the immediate repayment of all loans.

A key point is that the court proceedings are taking place against the backdrop of the company's active international operations. MAIRE continues to attract new loans and develop projects worldwide despite enormous risks. Its subsidiary NEXTCHEM recently secured €137.5 million in new loans, and the group approved a bond issuance of up to €300 million.

Comment: Things are not looking rosy for these companies which appear to attract money without disclosing the major risks involved for the lenders.

Ally of ex-Bosnian Serb leader wins election

Sinisa Karan
Sinisa Karan addresses the media after claiming victory in a snap presidential election of Republika Srpska.
Sinisa Karan, who succeeded Milorad Dodik in Republika Srpska, called Russia "one of the greatest friends"

A close ally of longtime Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik has won a snap presidential election in Republika Srpska, the Serb-majority entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to preliminary results.

Sinisa Karan's apparent victory comes after Dodik was removed from office over his refusal to obey the rulings imposed by an international envoy overseeing the peace-monitoring regime in Bosnia.

Karan, the candidate of Dodik's Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) and the entity's minister for scientific and technological development, took about 51% of the vote, after nearly all ballots were counted. Branko Blanusa, the candidate from the opposition Serb Democratic Party, won roughly 48%, with turnout just under 36%.

The snap vote was called after Bosnia's state court convicted Dodik in February of failing to comply with the decisions of Christian Schmidt, the international high representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Schmidt, a German national, has a strong mandate to oversee the 1995 Dayton Peace Agreement, which ended the bloody 1992-1995 Bosnian War.

Comment: Not surprising that the West bans or sanctions any candidate who is not Russophobic, which appears to be needed for Western support. The Western illusion must go on.

The Plea of the Russian Drone

The Plea of the Russian Drone
© smoothiex12.blogspot.com
People conveyed it. Properly. You can call it the The Plea of the Russian Drone.

Help me, people, help me, please, I beg you.

I can't hear — just can only read your lips.

Write a little note so I can help you,

Tell me what you need, just jot the gist.

It's a Russian drone — don't fear, it will not harm you.

It will bring you medicine and food.

We have found you, and won't abandon —

We will save your family, we'll see you through.

You've been under fire here longer than a year,

From Volchansk you're always in the view.

You held out until the Russian soldiers reached here,

Did not bow to Nazis of the AFU.

We're so close — just a little distance left now,

Just a street or two we must cross through.

Every meter costs us dearly, and how —

Many lost upon this road we knew.

For your freedom from the Nazi forces

All as one we fight without a pause.

They are brothers — Russia's steadfast soldiers,

Battling "Banderite" unholy cause.

Help me, people, help me, please, I beg you.

I can't hear — just can only read your lips.

Write a little note so I can help you,

Tell me what you need, just jot the gist.
The response of people around the world in my audience is overwhelming--this video and poignant song touched so many. But do not forget also that Russian soldier who lead this family across hellish terrain while drone followed them making sure no attempts were made on their lives. My profound gratitude to Nikita Pliassunov who put it in proper poetry.

Illegal rubbish heap, located beside the A34 and the River Cherwell, stretches 500ft and contains plastic, foam and wood

Fly-tippers have dumped a river of waste in rural Oxfordshire.

The illegal rubbish heap - described as "an environmental catastrophe unfolding in plain sight" - is around 20ft high, stretches 500ft long, and contains plastic, foam and wood.

It is believed to have been dumped in one go next to the A34 and River Cherwell, near the village of Kidlington, and was discovered last month by anglers. Some of the rubbish is said to be just five metres away from the river.

Friends of the Thames, an environmental charity, said the dump was created by an organised crime group. Laura Reineke, the charity's chief executive, told the BBC: "This is an environmental catastrophe unfolding in plain sight.

Treasury to block tax credits for illegal immigrants under new Trump administration rule

Bessent
© UnknownUS Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent Unknow
The Treasury Department plans to issue regulations barring illegal immigrants and certain foreign nationals from receiving a range of refundable tax credits, a move the Trump administration says is necessary to ensure federal benefits are limited to those eligible under longstanding law.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Thursday that the department will implement new rules defining who may claim income tax credits covered by the 1996 Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act, or PRWORA. The law restricts access to federal public benefits for individuals who are not U.S. citizens or qualifying residents.

"Under President Trump's leadership, we are enforcing the law and preventing illegal aliens from claiming tax benefits intended for American citizens," Bessent told Breitbart.

The regulation will specify that the refundable portions of the Earned Income Tax Credit, the Additional Child Tax Credit, the American Opportunity Tax Credit and the Saver's Match Credit constitute federal public benefits. As a result, the Treasury Department said, illegal immigrants and other foreign nationals will not be eligible to receive them.

Off the Grid

Off the Grid
© Off-Guardian Org
When people talk about "getting off the grid," the image that usually springs to my mind is the full-on pioneer fantasy: selling the house, buying 40 acres in the bush, installing solar panels, drilling a well, raising chickens, and growing enough potatoes to survive the next ice age.

I envy those people. Honestly, I do.

But let's be real — most of us aren't cut out for that level of commitment, and most of us don't need to be - — yet. At least for a little while, we can probably muddle along semi-attached to the system — still buying groceries at Loblaws, paying the hydro bill to whatever soulless utility now owns it, and calling an ambulance if we get flattened by a Tesla.

But after what happened to me this morning — for the umpteenth time — I've come to understand "off the grid" in an entirely different, far more urgent way. It no longer means geographical escape. It means digital and bureaucratic escape. It means refusing to let the Machine feed on my time, my sanity, and my personal data one byte at a time.

This morning, I tried to open a simple account with a Canadian service that lets you buy Bitcoin directly through your bank. Now, don't get me started about Bitcoin, digital currency, gold, silver, and all that crap. That is a hellhole in its own right. I'll save that for another article down the road (maybe).

What should have taken ten minutes turned into an hour-long descent into perdition. Upload passport. Upload driver's license. Take selfie. Take another selfie, this time with your firstborn in arms. Turn head 30 degrees so the algorithm can see your left ear. Hold up a piece of paper with today's date scrawled on it.

Wait.

Wait some more.

"We're sorry, we cannot verify your identity at this time."

No explanation. No human to ask. Just the cold, dead eye of the AI staring back.

Tavistock whistleblower claims BBC is 'infiltrated by trans activists'

The BBC has been captured by activists who peddle trans "propaganda", the woman who blew the whistle on the Tavistock clinic has claimed.

Sue Evans helped expose the medical centre's use of puberty blockers on child patients, which eventually led to it being shut down.

She claims the BBC had been "infiltrated by activists", was biased in its coverage of the Tavistock saga, and would allow misinformation to "dominate" discussions by letting statements go unchallenged.

She alleges that a flagship Radio 2 show refused to let her have the final say during debates on gender and that she was told she would only be able to give her opinions before representatives from pro-trans groups gave theirs, denying her the chance to rebut statements that were "clinically inaccurate".

What illegals problem? Construction sites in Charlotte, NC go dark as 'workers' hide From ICE

Federal officers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) began conducting large-scale raids across the Charlotte metropolitan area last weekend as part of Operation Charlotte's Web. The objective is to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens.

Operation Charlotte's Web has given a partial understanding of just how many migrants have poured into the metro area since the Biden-Harris regime's nation-killing open border policy.

Footage from X shows construction sites of residential homes, commercial projects, and even stores empty this week as illegals flee and go into hiding to avoid being deported.

Comment: From Fox News, on the Democrat libtards screeching about the raids:
North Carolina Democrats fall silent after ICE arrests dozens with violent records

Several North Carolina Democrats who criticized or opposed federal immigration authorities in Charlotte were largely silent when asked about the dozens of criminals arrested during the operation.

U.S. Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino - who hails from Watauga County and attended Appalachian State University in Boone - returned to familiar soil and was seen on-the-ground in Charlotte after weeks in Chicago.

By Monday, the Department of Homeland Security recorded 130 arrests of illegal immigrants, including at least 44 with violent criminal records ranging from aggravated assault to known gang activity, in its latest "worst of the worst" cache.
Among those taken into custody are 44 criminal illegal aliens whose criminal records include aggravated assault, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault on a police officer, battery, driving under the influence, and hit-and-run. Arrests also included two known gang members.

"There is absolutely no excuse to continue allowing criminal illegal aliens to terrorize our American communities," said a DHS spokesperson. "These are violent assailants, gang members, and repeat offenders who have zero regard for the rule of law in our country. They are here illegally and should never have been here in the first place. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, we are REMOVING the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens from our communities once and for all."
