In a message to the Libyan people, the US President said the 2011 Libyan revolution liberated them from "42 years of dictatorship." Now there are "profound challenges," which the Libyan people "have demonstrated the commitment to resolve."

Barack Obama welcomed the endorsement of the Libyan Political Agreement signed on December 17 and expressed confidence that with political dialogue and the establishment of a Government of National Accord, peace, prosperity, and security would come in the divided country.

Chicago - Police made at least four arrests as hundreds of protesters with the Black Lives Matter movement briefly shut stores at the sprawling Mall of America and blocked traffic at Minneapolis airport Wednesday, officials and reports said.

Separately, another eight people were arrested in a small demonstration in San Francisco, reports said, on what the activist group branded "Black Xmas."

The Minnesota mall, often described as the biggest shopping center in the US, had tried but failed to get a court order to bar the protesters -- a move activists said only strengthened their resolve to disrupt shopping on one of the biggest days in the year for retailers.

Comment: More than fifty years ago, there was an Afro American Civil Rights leader who stated things exactly as they were, and as they would come to be - today. His name was Malcolm X. He was imperfect and put his foot in his mouth more than once. But he also displayed a boldness, drive, and strength of character that few matched. He truly spoke truth to power. He also evolved.

Listen to some of the things he said before his life, like Martin Luther King Jr.'s, was cut tragically short. And consider the challenges of Afro Americans in the United States today in light of this and through their experiences of the objective reality of life in this godforsaken country.

An Idaho school district has offered to hire back a cafeteria worker fired over a $1.70 school lunch which she had given to a hungry student, after international news coverage of her plight and a backlash on social media.

Dalene Bowden, who worked at Irving Middle School in southeastern Idaho, was fired last week after serving food to a 12-year-old student who said she could not pay for the meal. Bowden offered to pay from her own pocket, but her supervisor refused. She was fired shortly afterwards for "theft of school district property."

On any given night in the United States, there are an estimated 578,000 people who are sleeping without a roof over their head.

Instead of embracing the spirit of the season and being a little more giving and compassionate than normal, 15 American cities are trying to sweep their homeless members of the community out of public view, NPR reported.

Throughout the month of December, Portland, Maine has been rapidly tearing down homeless encampments. Earlier this year, the city cut funding for both shelters and expenses to provide those who couldn't get into shelters with motel rooms.

A transformer exploded next to the King George Inn in South Whitehall Township late Wednesday, knocking out electrical power to a limited area, according to emergency radio reports.

The transformer blew up about 11 p.m. at the closed, historical restaurant at Hamilton and Cedar Crest boulevards. Fire police were dispatched to control traffic at the intersection.

Officers radioed that the power outage affected a small area around the King George. Just before midnight, PPL's online outage center showed six customers without electricity.

A PPL repair crew was dispatched to the scene.

Comment: There has been a disturbing number of transformer explosions in the last few years. Is the worldwide electrical grid in that bad shape, or is there some other factor at work?

Shots fired inside Charlotte mall sends shoppers fleeing - shooter reportedly killed by police

Shots were fired at Northlake Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina, sending shoppers fleeing from the mall on Christmas Eve.

One person appears to have received a leg injury, while another suffered an asthma attack and a woman has gone into labor, WBTV quoted Mecklenburg EMS ‒ also known as Medic ‒ as saying.

The shooting occurred near the mall's Apple Store, a witness told WCNC.


Witnesses reported hearing seven shots fired, according to the CBS affiliate.

A man who was in the mall said he heard arguing before the shooting, and that an officer shot and killed the gunman, he told WBTV's Dedrick Russell.

Police have confirmed it was an officer-involved shooting, WSOC reported.

Germany's education minister approves use of Hitler's 'Mein Kampf' in classrooms sparking fierce debate

Germany's federal education minister has called for nationwide use of Adolf Hitler's 'Mein Kampf' in the classroom. It comes just before a critical version of the book is due to be reprinted for the first time since Hitler's death, sparking fierce debate.

Referencing the critical edition of the book, scheduled to be published by Munich's Institute for Contemporary History in January, Johanna Wanka told Passauer Neuen Presse that it is "aimed at promoting political education and is easily comprehensible."

Wanka said that Hitler's statements will not go "uncontradicted," adding that "students have questions, and it is right that they can get rid of these in the classroom and talk about the issue."

The critical edition, the result of three years of labor by scholars, will include explanatory sections and some 3,500 annotations. The printing of the 2,000-page, two-volume work is possible due to the expiration of a 70-year copyright on the text, which will take place on New Year's Day.

Wanka's support for the critical edition to be used in schools follows a similar call from the German Teachers' Association, which said earlier this week that the book would "inoculate adolescents against political extremism."

Comment: Mein Kampf is educational in that those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Police in Kansas City are investigating two high school students after they posted a video of themselves sexually assaulting an unconscious teen in a motel room hoping to get "likes" from their friends.

According to KCTV, the unnamed students who attend high school in the Raytown School District posted the video over the weekend after they met the girl at a local pool hall before going to a motel where they sexually molested her. In the video, the girl appears to be unconscious with her blouse pulled up exposing her bra and wearing nothing below the waist

Instead of getting approving clicks from their friends, the two teens were excoriated for attacking the girl, with comments telling them they were only causing her more pain by posting the video. The video was then taken down, but not before a portion of it was saved by a viewer who took screenshots and turned them over to Kansas City Police Department's cyber crime unit.

The unnamed victim posted on her own Facebook page that it was her in the video and called for her two attackers to be prosecuted.

Police have spoken with school officials who responded with a statement saying:"The Raytown School District has been made aware of accusations against two students in an off-campus incident. While we cannot control choices made by students outside school hours, we will cooperate to assist police in any way we can."

As we reported last week, the jury in the case of Baltimore Police Officer William G. Porter told the judge that they were deadlocked and had been unable to reach a verdict. Porter is one of the officers who were on the scene during the death of Freddie Gray, a young man who was killed in police custody earlier this year. The judge declared a mistrial in the case, and a new trial was scheduled for June 13th, 2016.

News of the mistrial was surprisingly well received by Baltimore residents, who were hoping for justice, but convinced that justice may finally be served in June at the retrial. However, the media failed to report crucial details of the case, namely that the prosecution is seeking to use Porter as a witness against the other officers involved in the killing.

Comment: Justice in America is "slippery as an eel" when it comes to police violence. The cops, who were most likely complicit in the police "long ride" causing the death of Freddie Gray, will get a "get out of jail free card." Surprise, surprise.

I have never seen more buzz about a potential terror attack during the holiday season than I am seeing right now. Over the past couple of weeks, the mainstream media and the alternative media have both been full of headlines about the possibility of terrorism on Christmas Day or New Year's Eve. And personally, I have had numerous people contact me with their concerns or regarding something that they have heard from others.

In addition to threats from ISIS, there are many out there who are completely convinced that we could soon see a major false flag incident in the United States. So are any of these rumors true? Will we soon see a major terror incident in America?

I want to make it very clear that I do not know. As an attorney, I have been trained to come to conclusions based on the evidence, and at this moment I do not have anything completely solid to report to you. But I do believe that it is noteworthy that there is so much buzz about a potential terror attack that is coming in from so many different directions.

For example, earlier today a mainstream news report indicated that authorities had discovered a "credible threat" against New York City. The phrase "credible threat" was later retracted, but it is a fact that NYPD Commissioner William Bratton did hold "an emergency meeting" on Tuesday to address the threat of terror...

All New York City police officers received a bulletin Tuesday afternoon outlining the department's tactical plan and warning officers to stay vigilant, according to sources. That internal memo mentioned social media being used as a tactic and that a possible attack could come without warning.

Expect to see increased police presence at iconic locations across multiple boroughs, including Times Square, St. Patrick's Cathedral for Midnight Mass on Thursday, and Barclays Center in Brooklyn, marking the first time a threat has sparked a swell of police presence in a borough other than Manhattan.
In Germany, it is being reported that a former ISIS fighter is telling authorities that ISIS is planning "coordinated attacks across multiple European cities"...
ISIS are threatening coordinated attacks across multiple European cities, a former militant who escaped from the terror group has revealed.

The former Islamic State fighter - called Harry S - recently escaped from the group in Syria and is now being questioned by the authorities in Germany.

He says, along with other fighters, he was asked if he would "bring jihad to their homeland".
