Putin's wake up call to America: 'US elections being stolen'

Putin interview
In the outstanding video below which is now seeing some attention across the alternative media but will probably never be touched upon by most of the mainstream media, Russian President Vladimir Putin completely unloads upon Fareed Zakaria of CNN fame while telling him, among many other things, that AT LEAST two US elections have already been stolen, a warning to Donald Trump of what may be coming with the entire 'new world order' now on the line. Putin immediately calls out Zhakaria for the way he categorized previous Putin comments, showing us once again, that those working within the mainstream media are well trained at twisting the words coming from the mouths of others for the benefit of the nwo.

While the recent story over at SHTFPlan tells us that the US is sleepwalking towards a nuclear confrontation "in our astounding stupidity", we hear directly from the leader of the nation that the US is regularly antagonizing...and who could completely destroy America within an hour by delivering an EMP attack upon us that there is no way that we could stop, sending America back to a time without electricitiy, internet, running water, utilities, a banking system, and devoid of much of government except for the 'continuity of government' which would by then be living in their snug little bunkers underground in Denver.

In this eye-opening video, Putin completely destroys the thuggish policies that the Obama administration has had towards Russia (not to mention towards the American people) and we learn why Donald Trump could be 'the light at the end of the tunnel' in wanting to have healthy and good relationships with Russia. Why WOULDN'T the Obama administration want 'healthy relationships' with Russia? As anybody who listens to this video can hear, Putin is NOT looking for war with the US but respectful relationships. Why would we be preparing for war against them that would lead to our total destruction?

Brexit EU British vote
© Reinhard Krause/reutersA British flag which was washed away by heavy rains the day before lies on the street in London, Britain, June 24, 2016 after Britain voted to leave the European Union in the EU BREXIT referendum.
So what started as a gamble by David Cameron on an outlet for domestic British discontent, to be used as a lever to bargain with Brussels for a few more favors, has metastasized into an astonishing political earthquake about the dis-integration of the European Union. The irrepressibly mediocre Donald Tusk, president of the European Council, posing as a "historian", had warned that Brexit, "could be the beginning of the destruction of not only the EU but Western political civilization in its entirety".

That's foolish. Brexit proved that it's immigration, stupid. And once again, it's the economy, stupid (although the British neoliberal establishment never paid attention). But serious bets can be made the EU system in Brussels won't learn anything from the shock therapy - and won't reform itself. There will be rationalizations that after all the UK was always classically whiny, obtrusive and demanding special privileges when dealing with the EU. As for "Western political civilization", what will end - and this is a big thing — is the special transatlantic relationship between the US and the EU with Britain as an American Trojan Horse.

So of course this all goes monumentally beyond a mere match between a hopelessly miscalculating Cameron, now fallen on his sword, and the recklessly ambitious court jester Boris Johnson - a Donald Trump with better vocabulary and speech patterns.
Scotland, predictably, voted Remain, and may probably hold a new referendum — and leave the UK — rather than be dragged out by white working class English votes. Sinn Fein already wants a vote on united Ireland. Denmark, the Netherlands and even Poland and Hungary will want special status inside the EU, or else. Across Europe, the extreme right stampede is on. Marine Le Pen wants a French referendum. Geert Wilders wants a Dutch referendum. As for the vast majority of British under-25s who voted Remain, they may be contemplating one-way tickets not to the continent, but beyond.

Comment: The vote is still a non-binding vote. The UK Parliament will ultimately decide whether to honor it or not. A betrayal is not unlikely. There's too much money to lose.

Putin on Brexit: Comprehensible choice made by the British nation as no one wants to feed poorer economies

Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin says 'Brexit' is the choice made by the British nation and is a comprehensible one, as "no one wants to feed weak economies." Russia has not and does not plan to interfere with the results of the referendum, he added.

"I think it's comprehensible why this happened: first, no one wants to feed and subsidize poorer economies, to support other states, support entire nations," the Russian president said at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Tashkent.

"Apparently the British people are not satisfied with the way problems are being solved in the security sphere, these problems have become more acute lately with the migration processes," Putin said, suggesting the second reason for the British people to have voted 'out.'The Russian president's comments come in reply to UK Prime Minister David Cameron's claims that "Putin would be happy if the UK left the EU. "The president says such claims were an ill-posed attempt to influence the general opinion of the British public.

Comment: "The impact of the UK leaving the EU on the Russian economy will be limited, according to Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov. However, it may result in a further drop in oil prices, the weakening of the ruble and growing volatility."

Joining the Brexit party: Netherlands, France and now Italy attempt to launch EU referendum campaigns next

Euro symbol in flames
Shortly after the final Brexit result was released, first Netherlands and then France quickly warned they too would proceed with their own referenda. They are not alone: moments later the head of Italy's Northern League Said "Now it's our turn' After U.K.

As Dow Jones reports, Italy's anti-immigrant and euroskeptic Northern League will start a petition calling for a law that allows a referendum on whether the country wants to exit the European Union, its leader said on Friday. In a news conference following the announcement of the U.K.'s decision to leave the EU, Northern League's head Matteo Salvini said that it was time to give Italians a vote on their EU membership, as the citizens of Britain have just done.

"This vote was a slap in the face for all those who say that Europe is their own business and Italians don't have to meddle with that," Mr. Salvini said.

Wishful thinking: Erdogan threatens to hold EU bid referendum unless Turkey gets visa-free travel

Turkey has once again warned it will hold a referendum on whether to press on for EU accession, unless there is progress in negotiations on vise-free travel with the bloc.

"We [get] our power from the nation. If the EU negotiation process [does not move forward], as President Erdogan tried to say, then we may ask the public whether we should continue negotiations," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told a news conference in Ankara on Thursday.

"But we believe that common sense will dominate the meetings," Cavusoglu added. "We want to continue our way with the EU, especially in the visa-free travel deal, we want something that is our right."

Comment: Interesting choice of words. It is like a demand.

SOTT Focus: Aussie Media Steps into the Dizzying World of Russophobia

Putin James Bond
How Western journalists see President Putin
Chris Zappone of the Australian newspaper The Age plums the depths of stupefying Russophobia with an opinion piece titled "Donald Trump-Vladimir Putin: Russia's information war meets the US election." His message is, basically, next time you encounter a pesky social media troll, know that you have crossed swords with one of Vladimir Putin's troopers in the information war against the West.

Zappone presents a confused, jumbled mess of "facts" cobbled together and slapped onto paper. A bit like taking a mud pie and just chucking it, hoping some will stick. And let's face it, when it comes to gaining credibility and sombre faced approval on analysis of Russia's evil doings, Zappone doesn't have a very high standard to reach. A bit like randomly throwing mud pies, so too with "investigative journalism" on Russia; no matter how ludicrous, insane or uproariously hilarious, if it's anti-Russia it flies.

Best of the Web: Brexit Referendum is 'non-binding' meaning UK Parliament, not voters, will prevail

brexit

All the fuss and bother about Brexit largely ignores its non-binding status - parliament, not voters deciding if Britain stays or leaves the EU, the latter extremely unlikely.

Writing in the Financial Times, British lawyer David Allen Green explained Brexit voting is "advisory," not "mandatory." Parliament has final say.

MPs can legally disregard the public's will either way, they alone empowered to decide the path Britain chooses.

What happens ahead is "a matter of politics not law. It will come down to what is politically expedient and practicable," said Green.

Various options exist, including supporting Thursday's outcome, ignoring it, or "re-negotiating another deal and put(ting) that to another referendum" - repeating the process "until voters eventually vote the 'right' way," what's best for monied interests, not them.

Turkey parliament grants immunity to security and armed forces involved in counter-terror operations

Turkey's parliament has passed legislation that grants immunity to security and armed forces involved in "counter-terrorism" operations, amid a Turkish crackdown on separatist Kurdish groups.

The parliament voted late on Thursday not to prosecute military and security forces, who have recently been carrying out operations against PKK militants in southeast Turkey as well as in northern Iraq and Syria.

The new law requires permission from the military or political leadership for any prosecution of soldiers. The law will be applied retroactively, thereby covering the operations undertaken over the past year.

Civil servants engaged in counter-terrorism activities will also be protected from prosecution, according to the law.

It also expands the jurisdiction of military courts. The legislation could make it harder to investigate allegations of rights abuses by the forces.

Brexit fallout: David Cameron to quit after UK votes to leave EU

Prime Minister David Cameron is to step down by October after the UK voted to leave the European Union.

Speaking outside 10 Downing Street, he said "fresh leadership" was needed.

The PM had urged the country to vote Remain but was defeated by 52% to 48% despite London, Scotland and Northern Ireland backing staying in.

UKIP leader Nigel Farage hailed it as the UK's "independence day", while Boris Johnson said the result would not mean "pulling up the drawbridge".

Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said she was "absolutely determined" to keep Scotland in the EU so a second Scottish independence referendum was now "highly likely".

Brexit wins: UK to leave the EU

Nigel Farage
© Toby Melville/Reuters Nigel Farage, the leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP).
UKIP leader Nigel Farage has declared a victory for Brexit. The pound meanwhile has been send tumbling to its lowest level since 1985.

Farage seemed to concede defeat earlier in the night when a 'Remain' win looked likely. He has now backtracked in a speech in the early hours of Friday morning, declaring Thursday's referendum "a victory for ordinary people, a victory for decent people."

His comments come as the 'Leave' vote has a 52 percent to 48 percent advantage over the 'Remain' vote.

"We have fought against the multinationals, against the big merchant banks, against big politics, against lies, corruption and deceit and today honesty and decency and belief in a nation I think now is going to win," Farage said.

"We will have done it without having to fight, without a single bullet having been fired."

Farage also branded the EU a "failed project" and said Thursday's vote would "go down in our history as our independence day."

Farage has also called on David Cameron to resign as Prime Minister "immediately" in light of a likely win for the 'Leave' campaign.
