British police are alleged to have covered up cases of child sex abuse perpetrated by VIPs over a 40-year period. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has launched 14 new inquiries into Metropolitan Police conduct.

The IPCC now has 45 investigations into alleged police cover-ups underway, all of which involve "prominent individuals" in British society. They also share in common "allegations of corruption in the Metropolitan Police Service relating to child sex offences dating from the 1970s to the 2000s," the IPCC said in a statement.

"They all concern allegations of suppressing evidence, hindering or halting investigations, or covering up alleged offences because of the involvement of prominent individuals or police officers."

America - Gestapo state

James Comey FBI Hillary Clinton
FBI Director James Comey
FBI Director James Comey got Hillary off the hook but wants to put you on it. He is pushing hard for warrantless access to all of your Internet activity.

Comey, who would have fit in perfectly with Hitler's Gestapo, tells Congress that the United States is not safe unless the FBI knows when every American goes online, to whom they are sending emails and from whom they are receiving emails, and knows every website visited by every American.

In other words, Comey wants to render null and void the Fourth Amendment of the US Constitution and completely destroy your privacy rights.

The reason Washington wants to know everything about everyone is so that Washington can embarrass, blackmail, and frame on felony charges patriots who stand up in defense of the US Constitution and the rule of law, and dissidents who criticize Washington's illegal wars, reckless foreign policies, and oppression of American citizens.

Washington's demand for power has nothing to do with our security. It has to do with destroying the security that the US Constitution gives us.

Assad can stay? Turkey appears to be shifting allegiances

In what appears to be a major reversal, the Turkish government has issued a call for improved relations between Iraq and the Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad.

Throughout the Syrian conflict, Ankara has been one of the most vocal detractors of the legitimately-elected Syrian government, consistently pushing for the ousting of President Assad and supporting radical groups within the country. The US government has partnered with Turkey against Syria since 2013, and only last week Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan referred to Assad as a "terrorist."

"He is a more advanced terrorist than a terrorist from the PYD or the YPG," the Turkish president told reporters. "He is a more advanced terrorist than Daesh."

But according to a speech given by Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim on Wednesday, Ankara may be seeking to mend ties with Damascus.

Comment: While Turkey thaws its relations with Russia, Syria and Israel, things are getting frosty with Germany after their recognition of the Armenian genocide:
Germany will recall its troops from Incirlik Airbase in Turkey if Ankara continues to block lawmakers from visiting soldiers, the vice chancellor announced. ... "The German Army answers to parliament," Sigmar Gabriel told Mitteldeutsche Zeitung newspaper, as quoted by Reuters." And if parliament cannot visit its army, then the army cannot stay there. This is absolutely clear."
The Armenian genocide recognition is at least somewhat bluster, i.e., there's more to Turkey's ire than just that. For example, Russia has recognized the Armenian genocide at numerous times in the past (as recently as 2015), but that doesn't seem to put any blocker on their renewed relations.

Syria, too, has been sending some high-level negotiators to various EU nations, including:
- a trip by General Ali Mamelouk —coordinator of Syrian Secret Services — to Berlin;
- a trip by General Mohammed Dib Zaitoun — Director General of Syrian Security — to Rome;
- a trip by General Alberto Manenti — Director of the Agency on Intelligence and Foreign Affairs — by special plane from Rome to Damascus.

Macedonia's 'Colorful Revolution' masquerade: A U.S. regime change strategy to block Russian and Chinese projects in Eurasia

macedonia protests, colorful revolution macedonia
Protesters hit Macedonia's capital with paint balls and soap suds in a 'Colorful Revolution'
ORIENTAL REVIEW exclusively publishes the interview, given by the Hybrid Warfare expert Andrew Korybko to the Macedonian edition "Vecer" late June, in English. He speaks about the US R-TCR (Regime Tweaking - Regime Change - Regime Reboot) strategy in the Balkans, and efforts by Russia and China to stabilize Eurasia.

***
You're in Skopje at the moment, where the so-called "Colorful Revolution" has been ongoing for two months already. What are the real reasons and the goals behind this in the context of the geopolitical constellations in the region?

The "Colorful Revolution" that's presently ongoing in the Republic of Macedonia is nothing more than a Color Revolution masquerading as a "legitimate" civil society movement. It's really a foreign-supported regime change attempt that employs state-of-art political technologies inspired by the teachings of Gene Sharp, the godfather of this stratagem. Some participants and international observers genuinely believe that what's happening in Skopje is an organic initiative, but others are aware of its artificial nature and pursuit of ulterior motives. It doesn't take much effort for any neutral observer to find out which forces are pulling the protesters' strings, since much information has already been publicly released by the patriotic elements of the Macedonian media about the involvement of the Soros Foundation and the close coordination between the protesters and the US Embassy. Soros and his multitude of affiliated organizations provided the "seed funding" for organizing the wide assortment of "NGOs" that are leading the anti-government movement, and the billionaire philanthropist controls the finances that allow SDSM to pay protesters and bus them into Skopje from all across the country. These protesters, of course, are either "useful idiots" or willing conspirators like was already mentioned. They participate in these events for a few reasons, all of which could potentially overlap depending on the particular individual involved:

Comment: George Soros, NATO and the Western Color Revolution in Macedonia:

Soros' NGOs fund and operate organizations and movements that are revolutionary organizations designed to push a political agenda, change Macedonian culture, install puppet regimes, and ultimately serve the purpose of the Anglo-American oligarchy. George Soros' most well-known NGO, the Open Society Institute, is highly active in Macedonia and itself works with a plethora of "civil society organizations" throughout the country that function as the OSI (and hence the West's) tentacles in Macedonian society.

* the "Liberal-Democratic" ideology that Zaev and his handlers have been trying to brainwash people with through their control of various media apparatuses has succeeded in misleading a minority of the masses, a few of whom are attracted to the "romantic" idea of taking part in a "revolution" and egotistically relish the potential mainstream and social media attention that they could receive;

* some people have an immediate financial incentive to get paid a day's wages for only doing a few hours of active or passive work, such as "protesting" or attending "workshops", "training seminars", etc., respectively, and see their paid participation in the Color Revolution as an easy job that could go on indefinitely;

* and others are simply career opportunists that want to capitalize on what they believe will be a successful regime change operation and use this chance to ingratiate themselves with the forthcoming powers-to-be, angling to ascend to the halls of power on the backs of the misguided fools and paid "protesters" that they hope will help them get there.

Theresa May: The new face of Islamophobia?

theresa may
A quick Google news search for "Theresa May and "Abu Qatada" reveals over 2,000 mainstream media articles in the last three days combining both. This is hardly surprising, as in her speech announcing her candidacy for Tory leader (and thus PM) May dwelt on her deportation of Abu Qatada as evidence she was qualified for the job. The May supporting Tory MP who was put up for Sky to interview immediately afterwards managed to say "Abu Qatada" three times in a two minute interview.

Abu Qatada should indeed be a powerful symbol - but not the symbol he has become, a hate figure. He should rather be a symbol of the hate-filled and intolerant place Britain has become, and the dreadful injustice meted out to individuals both by the state and the media.

Abu Qatada spent, over a thirteen year period, a total of nine years in jail in England despite never being charged with any crime. It is not just that he was not convicted. He was never charged. Nine years, think about it. In all that time, neither he nor his lawyers were ever permitted to see the accusations or evidence against him.

Israeli bulldozers enter Golan DMZ with tanks in tow

With the backing of tanks, Israeli military bulldozers have entered the demilitarized zone that divides Israel and the Syrian Golan areas, constructing a set of anti-tank trenches and fortifications 300-500 meters inside the DMZ.

This is the first time that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have operated openly on the Syrian side of the border since the beginning of the Syrian civil war some five years ago. No opposition or protest from Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus has been offered.

The IDF operation was ongoing as of Wednesday, July 12, on a stretch of terrain facing the Syrian town of Quneitra on one side, and the Israeli Golan village of Ein Zivan on the other. The enclave dividing the Golan between Israel and Syria is defined as a demilitarized zone (DMZ) under the military control of the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) and the Syrian civilian administration, according to the 1974 armistice agreement. The zone is bound by two 10km strips of land to allow each side to maintain military strength. Within a 25km radius, no ground-to-air missiles can be launched from the DMZ.

The United States has sent additional military personnel to boost security of the US embassy in the South Sudanese capital of Juba amid ongoing unrest in the country, US President Barack Obama said on Wednesday in a letter to the US House Speaker Paul Ryan.

"The first of these additional personnel, approximately 47 individuals, arrived in South Sudan on July 12, 2016, supported by military aircraft," Obama stated.

The US president noted that some 130 troops stationed in Djibouti are also ready to provide support as necessary.

CIA Director John Brennan says US must maintain ability to enter foreign airspace without any notification

The US president must maintain the ability to proceed with foreign operations as necessary, including invasion of foreign countries airspace without notifying local governments, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Brennan said in a speech at the Brookings Institution on Wednesday.

"The president must maintain the ability to take action as appropriate," Brennan stated. "There are circumstances where I know that the commander in chief is going to continue to exercise his responsibility to do what is necessary, and sometimes that is going to be going into foreign airspace without the prior consent of the government."

The CIA director recalled that in 2011, President Barack Obama authorized an operation to capture or kill Osama bin Laden in Pakistan without any consultations with the Pakistani government.

Bin Laden was killed on May 2, 2011 in Abbottabad, Pakistan as a result of a US special operation following a ten-year manhunt. The manhunt was initiated in part as a response to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks against the United States that killed some 3,000 people.

Comment: Just what this world doesn't need, a global police from one nation. Especially now with the poor human rights track record the US has.

Chutzpah! British MPs plead with Arab royals to stop funding ISIS

charles saudi
Britain's royal head-chopper-in-chief, Prince Charles, attends a do in Saudi Arabia at which the Brits sold billions more in weapons to Saudi Arabia (and thus ISIS)
Britain's Foreign Affairs sub-Committee says the Gulf States must apply legal barriers to the private financing of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) by unidentified members of royal families in the region, particularly Saudi Arabia. The financial operations of royals in the Persian Gulf are vague, the committee concluded, recommending the Foreign Office "work with local partners in the region to ensure they have the capacity and resolve to rigorously enforce local laws to prevent the funding of Islamic State, so that the group cannot benefit from donations in future."

Assessing the likelihood of Sunni royal families directly funding terrorist groups, Foreign Office Minister Tobias Ellwood called the issue "very opaque." "When somebody who is close to the top of a royal family is a very rich individual donor ... that is very likely to happen," Ellwood is quoted as saying in the committee report.

Foreign Office senior civil servant Dan Chugg also said when "dealing with royal families, wealthy princes and those kind of things" it is "difficult with some of these countries to know exactly what is government funding. Our strategy was not to try to ascertain whose problem and whose fault it was, but to stop the funding going to Daesh [Arabic pejorative term for IS]. That was what was important. And that is what our efforts have been focused on," Chugg told the committee.

Comment: "Vague' and 'opaque,' not words one might ordinarily use to describe a genuinely indepth investigation of enemy funding sources, be it truly an enemy and not one that is just sort of. These connotations are more in line with words that might be used to obfuscate a source, protecting its own out-funding streams, in order to have you look the other way. The Counter ISIL Finance Group (CIFG) is co-chaired by Italy, Saudi Arabia and the US. They are focusing on Iraqi sourcing capabilities, not their own...not the sources they can absolutely influence and control. While it might be true and evident that the "princes" of the region are involved, it is just another finger-pointing distraction.

Meanwhile, the British MPs would do better to look closer to home for stopping the ultimate source of ISIS funding...

A common sense analysis of the NATO summit in Warsaw

Putin Nato
© Polit Russia
Dear friends, did you know that the countries of the West will soon have to pass a difficult exam on confronting Russia? No? I didn't know either before I read about this in an article in The Financial Times in which the expectations of the upcoming NATO summit in Warsaw were described. British media are demanding that the summit's participants somehow show Russia who's the boss and convince Putin that the NATO countries, despite their own problems, are ready to fight against Russia as a united front.

I couldn't help but laugh when I read in this article that one of the key topics of discussion at the summit will be the deployment of four (F-O-U-R!) battalions in the Baltic states and Poland in order to scare Putin and convince him that it is impossible to invade the Baltic countries. I don't even know what's funnier: Western analysts' assurance that 4 battalions of NATO are something terribly strong, or the fact that Russians are supposed to be dreaming in their sleep of capturing Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. This leaves the impression that our neighbors have some kind of very advanced case of megalomania. Well, judge for yourselves, should we take the Baltic countries? Instead of their ports, we have our own ultra modern Ust-Luga port. Our neighbors have no industry left. Nor agriculture. What's left? Tuna and Laima Vaikule? No thanks. In fact, Russians have long since switched to fish from Kaliningrad so, even from a gastronomic point of view, the Baltic countries are of no interest.

I must admit that the idea of four NATO battalions defending the Baltic countries from the Russian army seems to me to be a brilliant joke. It'll turn out like in the famous joke about the lunatic who drives crocodiles away by clapping so he won't have any crocodiles in his bathroom. It works great. But we'll see how it will work out for the Baltic states. Western media will write that Putin hasn't taken Vilnius because he's afraid of four NATO battalions. This reminds me of the triumphant bragging of Yatsenyuk, who told Ukrainians about how effective his anti-tank ditch would be against the Russian army. Apparently, NATO officials are actively adopting Ukraine's experience in conjuring virtual victories over imaginary threats.

Comment: The writer forgets that he is expecting the NATO brass to reason like human beings. They are not. Faced with the prospect of not achieving the global hegemony the West dreams of, they are just as likely to 'kick over the board' and try to start an unwinnable war on the flimsiest of pretexts. Russia is aware of this of course, and therefore handles its western 'partners' most carefully, allowing them to save face when and where possible without compromising Russia's security.
