The US is building a military airfield in northern Syria as part of its ongoing campaign against Daesh, a representative of the Syrian Democratic Forces command told Sputnik on condition of anonymity.

The construction site, located between the cities of Sheddadi and al-Hasakah and secured by SDF fighters, sits on a major oil and gas field. The US Air Force will make active use of the new air base during the operation to liberate Raqqa. "The Americans previously built military airfield in Rimelan in al-Hasakah Governorate and in Kobani in Aleppo Province, and they will now have another one in Sheddadi with its large deposits of oil and gas," the SDF representative told Sputnik.

UK to support violation of European human rights laws on the battlefield

UK government will allow its military to violate European human rights law to boost their confidence on the battlefield and stop a "witch-hunt," as it does not want to spend more on "vexatious" and "false" charges against troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"It will help to protect our troops from vexatious claims and ensure they can confidently take difficult decisions on the battlefield," Defense Secretary Michael Fallon said in a joint statement with Prime Minister Theresa May at the Conservative party conference in Birmingham on Tuesday.

The existing legal system, which enables victims of UK soldiers' alleged mistreatment and abuse to sue them in court and be eligible for compensation "has been abused to level false charges against our troops on an industrial scale," he claimed, as cited by the Telegraph, adding that paying for damages and legal fees related to the investigations has been a burden on a state budget.

Comment: The UK has apparently had enough of enforcing any type of accountability for their war crimes. Of course with this new lack of legal recourse they will not be able to even tell if charges are "vexatious" and "false" at all. If such claims were false and still resulting in compensation, then the UK had a problem with competent lawyers. However, since they are doing away with such kinds of cases altogether it demonstrates to the world that the UK is committing war crimes for which they do not wish to take responsibility.

UK will not recognize European Convention on Human Rights during future conflicts

The United Kingdom will not recognize the validity of the European Convention on Human Rights during future conflicts in light of of a large number of claims against the UK armed forces based on the convention, UK Defense Secretary Michael Fallon said on Tuesday.

He added that about a half of more than 3,000 claims against the UK armed forces had already been thrown out and another 1,000 would be discontinued by January.

"Much of the litigation we face comes from the extension of the European Convention on Human Rights to the battlefield. This is damaging our troops, undermining military operations, and costing taxpayers' millions that should be invested in defense itself. So I can announce today that in future conflicts we intend to derogate from that European convention," Fallon said at the Conservative Party conference.

Comment: Those troublesome convention laws the elites like to enforce on others but not themselves.

The US vs. the UN in the battle for real international law

Us Un international law
© Katahon.com
The current United Nations General Assembly once again demonstrates the clear trend that the United Nations has completely exhausted itself as a competent institution intended to solve global problems.

The numerous proposals to reform the UN voiced by the presidents and foreign ministers of a number of partner countries at the General Assembly are an additional and clear indication that the United Nations' activities have major flaws.

The meetings of the UN Security Council which took place in parallel also confirmed that real dialogue on critical topics is doomed to fail. When the Syrian representative addressed the assembly and discussed the Syrian conflict, the US's UN representative demonstratively left the room. How is it possible to discuss serious questions in such an atmosphere?

Of course, thanks to the United Nations, some crisis situations have been solved in the past, but this was before. The world has changed significantly. The rudiments of international law which are still adequate for the majority of countries and peoples need be advanced to a more adequate level which must be at once global but exclude the possibility of such strong influence on the part of destructive actors such as, for example, the United States.

Comment: The U.S. has only done what all empires do: rig the game in its own favor. Fortunately, the victims of the scam have woken up to the fact and are banding together together, not to fight the Empire, but to make it politically and financially irrelevant.

Iranian FM, Speaker call off meeting with German Vice-Chancellor amid Israel controversy

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani both cancelled their meetings with German Vice-Chancellor and Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel amid a controversy over the recent remarks by the German official against Tehran's foreign policy.

The two top Iranian officials avoided their meetings with Gabriel after his harsh criticism of Tehran's stances against Israel. Gabriel told Der Spiegel before his recent visit to Tehran that Germany could not move ahead with full normalization of ties until the Iranian government accepted to recognize Israel.

Also, in July 2015, Gabriel had warned at the start of a three-day visit to Tehran that Berlin could not accept Iran's questioning of Israel's right to exist, and that such attitudes could harm business relations between the two countries.

He also said Germany would be willing to mediate between the two enemies.

Comment: Gabriel also made claims to talk to the US about the sanctions: Good luck with that: Germany informs Iran it will push US to 'dismantle sanctions'

German Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel has promised to press Washington to loosen its economic restrictions on Iran, as it promised to do as part of last year's nuclear deal.

During a public speech during a landmark two-day economic cooperation visit to Tehran, Gabriel said Germany intends to "remind the United States of the commitment to get to an effective dismantling of sanctions."

The SPD politician, who also serves as Germany's Vice Chancellor, said that Washington "should act on its responsibilities concerning Iran so the outcome of the nuclear deal becomes visible in Iran."

For its part, Germany said it planned to sign 10 key deals, and boost economic turnover with Iran by €2.5 billion, as a result of the visit, during which 120 senior business leaders joined Gabriel.

Eager Indian generals eye six-month campaign in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir

Amid rising Pakistani-Indian tensions over the disputed Kashmir region, Indian generals are reportedly calling on the government to approve a sustained six-month campaign to destroy "terrorist infrastructure" on the Pakistani side of the de-facto border.

"We have to look at a sustained campaign. The terror network is on the back foot, but to really achieve something, we have to look at a medium-term plan, a six-month campaign. A one-off event will not deter them," a top Indian Army official was quoted by Times of India as telling the country's government.

The suggestion comes at a time of rising tensions over Kashmir, a mountainous border area that India and Pakistan have been disputing for seven decades. Each party controls part of the region, while claiming sovereignty over all of it. Two of the three wars that the two nations have fought were over Kashmir.

Bill Clinton paternity saga continues: Prostitute's son wants DNA test

The son of a former prostitute has renewed calls for Bill Clinton to take a paternity test, claiming the former president is his father. Danney Williams says he's the love-child of Clinton from his time as state governor of Arkansas.

Williams, 30, who goes by the name Danney Williams-Clinton, claims his mother Bobbie Ann Williams met Clinton in 1984 and began a relationship with him after the then-governor paid her $200 to have sex with her behind some bushes in a Little Rock housing project.

The relationship continued and a year later his mother was pregnant, claims Williams. When his mother told Clinton he was the father he allegedly laughed and said: "Girl, that can't be my baby."

When he was born his mother believed he was Clinton's son as he had a light skin tone, with Clinton being her only white client.

Comment: Given Slick Willy's sexual proclivities, requesting a DNA test is not unreasonable. What is more interesting is this is yet another scandal plaguing Killary as her numbers continue to slide.
