With increasing gas consumption in India, the country has been looking to diversify its supplies. Iran, which is emerging from sanctions, has been picked for investment.

Iran has guaranteed a "reasonable return" for Indian investors, who are ready to spend $11 billion on the country's natural gas and LNG infrastructure.

India's ONGC Videsh plans to invest $6 billion in the Farzad-B field and spend the rest to build a liquefied natural gas export facility, according to managing director Narendra Kumar Verma.

"We have given our best offer to them. Now, it is up to them to agree or not agree," Verma said in an interview with NDTV.

"We have told the Iranian authorities very clearly that some basic returns are necessary," the executive added.

"I can confirm that we have received this official notification," Seibert said at a press briefing without naming the reasons for the Saudi King's decision.

Europe's Russophobic coven: Moscow stops funding Council of Europe

PACE meeting

On June 30, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov informed Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland about Russia's decision to suspend contribution payments to the CE budget for 2017.

In an interview with Radio Sputnik, political expert Oleg Matveychev said that this decision had been suggested for a long time.
"Russia has been paying money for all these pan-European structures for many years, and these contributions are large, proportional to the size of the country. At the same time, Europe has been imposing sanctions against us, it has always been opposing itself to us," Matveychev said.

"The most important thing is that they use these (pan-European) platforms to promote Russophobic hysteria. We give them money, and they scold us, release all sorts of media reports criticizing us. It is wrong to finance such a coven, and if they want to do such [black] PR, let them do it using their own means," Matveichev said.

NYT and WaPo send their best reporters to stenograph the Syrian "five o'clock follies"

corporate media propaganda
When the U.S. military takes a bunch of journalists on a press junket to a foreign country, it has a certain intention and prepares every detail in advance. There will be witnesses and local people who are briefed for their two minute talk with the journalists to convey exactly what the military wants them to convey. After enjoying local flair, for ten minutes max, some U.S. diplomatic official or a general will treat the journos to some good whiskey and a genuine local steak. The official will speak a few prepared lines on the record that will reinforce the story the locals were tasked to tell.

The outcome is predictable. The stories the journalists will write will be the same.

Reality Check! CNN ratings 'plummet' after a month of journalistic embarrassments

CNN really didn't have a good month of June.

First, three journalists resigned for publishing a story last week that connected a Trump transition team member to a Russian investment bank. The story hinged on a single anonymous source and was later proven false.

Then Project Vertias, led by journalist James O'Keefe, released a number of undercover videos purportedly trying to further damage the journalistic credibility and reputation of CNN.

Comment: Looks like CNN's war against Trump has backfired. As DailyWire reports,
Over the entire second quarter of 2017, looking at total viewers, only one CNN program placed in the top 20 of all cable news shows, and that was Anderson Cooper's 360, which landed with a thud at number 20. For perspective, a repeat of Tucker Carlson's Fox New hour attracted more viewers than any show on CNN.

Furthermore, throughout this same quarter, CNN lost to MSNBC in total and primetime demo viewers. This is the first time since 2014 that CNN has lost that demo crown to its leftwing rival. In total viewers last quarter, among all cable news channels, Fox News placed first, MSNBC third, and CNN is all alone in tenth place, just barely ahead of Investigative Discovery, a second-tier offshoot of the Discovery Network.

CNN now has two major problems. First, most of the country is right-of-center and that large swath wants nothing to do with these serial liars. But that is an age-old problem. CNN's latest problem is with Leftists, who not only have an alternative with MSNBC, but who are almost certainly tired of all the fake news CNN pushes — fake news that gets their hopes up that Trump's impeachment is imminent; fake news that only ends up further crushing their hopes and dreams.

Moscow's patience with Washington is running out, since the US has been dragging its feet on Russia's confiscated diplomatic property. Nevertheless, it is up to the foreign ministry to decide when to impose tit-for-tat measures, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"As a rule, we have spoken about the principle of reciprocity. As for Russia's patience on that matter, it is running out, that has also been mentioned at various levels. As for nuances, this is rather a matter for our foreign ministry," Peskov told journalists when asked if Russia's response could come before or after a meeting between the two countries' presidents.
