Russian President Vladimir Putin assumes the country's economy has moved out of recession.
"Russia's economic growth is obvious, it is definitely safe to say that the Russian economy has moved out of recession," he told a press conference following the G20 summit in Hamburg.

Meanwhile, Putin does not consider the trend of the country's economic growth to be sustainable so far. "Of course, one cannot say that the trend (of economic growth - TASS) is absolutely sustainable, we have to keep an eye on it in order to support it," he said. "All indications are that we will deal with it," he added.

'I hope the climate will be better now': Putin pokes fun at Macron for being late

President Vladimir Putin's wit was on show when he took a jab at his French counterpart for being late for a bilateral on the margins of the G20 summit in Hamburg.

Emmanuel Macron explained he was late because of a long discussion with his colleagues concerning climate issues. "I hope the climate will be better now," a smiling Putin fired back in response.

Earlier, Macron repeatedly stated that he attaches great importance to climate change. The Russian president assured his French counterpart that Moscow stands by the Paris agreement and will fulfill its obligations under the accord.
"You know our position [on this issue] - we adhere to the Paris agreement, we have taken relevant decisions and we are determined to abide by them," Putin told Macron.

Comment: In regards to Macron, the Dunning-Kruger effect comes to mind...
Dunning-Kruger effect In the field of psychology, the Dunning - Kruger effect is a cognitive bias wherein persons of low ability suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly assessing their cognitive ability as greater than it is. The cognitive bias of illusory superiority derives from the metacognitive inability of low-ability persons to recognize their own ineptitude. Without the self-awareness of metacognition, low-ability people cannot objectively evaluate their actual competence or incompetence.

War in Libya, war in Syria and the Qatar crisis

War in Libya
© JacobinWar in Libya
The war in Libya was caused not so much by any internal dissent but rather by the West's need for continued economic expansion, which Western elites view as part and parcel of the post-Cold War "end of history", a still-potent messianic ideology which gives the West the license to attack anyone, anywhere, to achieve its mercantilist objectives, and which gives the necessary humanitarian "fig leaf" for the benefit of the politically correct faction of Western societies.

Naturally, politically correct Westerners have been unbothered by the "humanitarian interventions" invariably making the situation far worse, and Libya has not been an exception. Since the fall of the regime of Muammar al-Gaddafi, Libya has not experienced any political, financial or even social stability, as the country is witnessing a state of constant fighting between all parties despite the absence of any religious or sectarian differences between the populations. Libya turned from one of the richest countries in the world to a failed state.

Privacy group sues Trump's voter fraud commission, states data request violates federal law

Voterfraud
© David Ryder/Reuters
A privacy watchdog has filed suit to prevent President Donald Trump's voter fraud commission from collecting voter information. It argues there are no established safeguards to ensure that personal data is protected.

The Washington, DC-based Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) requested a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) Monday to block the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity from gathering voter data until the impact on privacy can be assessed.

EPIC argues that the commission violated federal law when it made the request for all 50 states and the District of Columbia to transmit voter records to a non-secure website without authentication. The group says the commission should have conducted a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to identify and mitigate privacy risks before making the request.

Trump's commission does not have any procedures in place to protect voter privacy or the security and integrity of the state voter data, and there is already evidence that the commission has placed and will place voter data at risk, EPIC said.
"The integrity of state voting systems is of paramount importance and should not be put at risk at the whim of the Commission members," the lawsuit reads. "Once data has been leaked, there is no way to control its spread. With a data breach, there is literally no way to repair the damage, once done."
A federal district court in DC scheduled a hearing Friday to consider the case against the commission.

Comment: Either the sought data is already public, or it is private and in need of protection, or there is no legal authority to collect it. Someone should figure this out.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his South Korean counterpart Moon Jae-in discussed Pyongyang's latest "provocation" and the need to "keep cool heads" to defuse tensions on the Korean peninsula.
"The North Korean missile provocation is a threat not only to the peninsula, but also the entire region," Moon said after talks with Putin on the sidelines of G20 summit in Hamburg Friday.
Putin underlined the importance of adopting a rational approach when dealing with Pyongyang.
"The North Korean nuclear program is a very acute problem," Putin said. "But we must act carefully and pragmatically, and we must keep cool heads."

Comment: While China and Russia have the most all-round sensible plan, and there is a tentative acknowledgement of that by the US, SK and Japan, the US and SK decided to keep their thorns in Kim's paws and remain on point with provocation and bravado.

Putin said that Donald Trump's attitude means that Russia-US relations will improve.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken at a press conference where he praised Donald Trump as an active listener who participated attentively in their conversation. As a result Putin stated,
"We will be able to restore, at least partially the level of interaction that we need".
Vladimir Putin further stated that while much of US policy on Syria has not changed, that America's approach under Donald Trump is "more pragmatic" than previous American policies. He also called the establishment of the new de-escalation zones a "big step forward" but went onto say that there will be important discussions about the borders of these new zones.

Putin emphasised that progress can only be made through discussions with all interested parties, including the government of Syria. He also affirmed that all such agreements must preserve Syrian territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Comment: The sidelines meetings from this conference has creatively acted like a pressure release valve...giving more space around clearer cut problems and more willingness of involved parties to cooperate and find solutions.

He stressed that the US stance towards Syria has not drastically changed, although it has become more pragmatic, adding that the United States also played a certain role in the decline of violence in the country.

Million dollar question: Tucker Carlson exposes the incredible wealth and possible corruption of Congresswoman Maxine Waters

Maxine Waters
Maxine Waters
Maxine Waters is super rich for being just a simple Congresswoman.

As Maxine Waters insanely screams for Trump's impeachment and for war with Russia, the champion of liberal left snowflakes and social justice warriors should perhaps, herself be investigated for having amassed quite a fortune as a simple "public servant" for the United States of America.

Fox News' Tucker Carlson hinted at the fact that Waters lives a lavish lifestyle in LA, as she screams about justice, Trump corruption, and Putin election tampering.

Perhaps Maxine Waters' lunacy is all one big act to distract away from people asking questions about her incredible fortune?

Perhaps its time to ask, "how did Maxine Waters afford a $4.3 million home?'
