The NATO/Ukraine defeat in Kursk (and beyond)

Contrary to the view of Beltway pundits regarding the sunny side or various alleged successes of Ukraine's Kursk incursion, the Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelenskiy's newest simulacra attack - substituting a fake reality for the real one - has led to yet another predictable catastrophe in the real world of war and politics. Zelenskiy's gambit had no military logic behind it. Its essence was made up of a propagandistic/PR component and perhaps a terrorist element. It was a reckless, desperate last roll of the dice to overturn the playing board which never had a hope of succeeding. Not one of the goals stated by Ukrainian officials was achieved, nor was the unstated, potential goal of seizng the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant achieved. What was 'achieved' was a decimation of some of Ukraine's best remaining men and materiel.

Ukrainian officials publicly stated several goals of the operation:

(1) to force Moscow to redeploy troops away from Russian forces' increasingly rapid advance on Pokrovsk and across the Donetsk front;
(2) to seize Russian territory to encourage Moscow to negotiate and to trade for the return of Ukrainian lands in peace talks with Moscow;
(3) to capture Russian prisoners of war to exchange for Ukrainian prisoners;
(4) to create angst in Russia among the elite and population in order to weaken support for the war and/or Putin's hold on power; and
(5) to make Russia feel the pain of death and destruction that Ukraine has been feeling (Zelenskiy alone said this).

None of these goals was achieved.

This time, the shooter lives to do some 'splainin'. Do you wonder if he might get around to 'splainin' his role with the shady non-governmental orgs (NGOs) supported by the CIA who enabled his travels to Ukraine and his efforts there recruiting global mutts to fight for the Nazi-ish Azov Battalion? Perhaps he might rat-out actual government officials who assisted him in his colorful misadventures? As Ed Snowden remarked on "X", wannabe Trump assassin Ryan Routh has "something of an Oswald vibe" — meaning, well-groomed by the intel boys, to be used as required.

Perhaps we'll find out — if nothing fatal happens to befall Mr. Routh while in custody — how exactly he learned Mr. Trump would be on the links that afternoon? The candidate's round of golf that day was supposedly a snap decision known only amongst his innermost circle. Or how did Mr. Routh figure out the most advantageous fairway to lay at for a clear shot? The FBI is on the case, you may be reassured to know.

Things political are speeding up with the autumnal quickening. The blob is truly and deeply a'fright. So many blobsters will be liable to pay for their multitudinous crimes against the people of this country if Mr. Trump squeaks back into power that such a future is unthinkable to them. And yet, nothing has worked to deactivate this. . . this golden golem stalking the land. Nothing to show for the immense catalog of lawfare cases concocted to drain his wealth and stuff him into a prison cell — and astounding how amateurish they all were! Engoron and Merchan, two boobies hatched out of Judicial Error Central. Fani Willis, a walking-talking banana peel! Merrick Garland, saving democracy one abuse of power at a time!

Houthis strike central Israel

The Yemeni armed group has said it used its "new hypersonic ballistic missile" in the attack.

A missile fired from Yemen struck central Israel on Sunday morning, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The Houthis, an armed group which controls much of northern Yemen, have claimed responsibility for the attack.

The missile entered Israeli airspace from the east and fell in an open area, the IDF said in a message on X (formerly Twitter). There were no casualties as a result of the incident, it added.

In a later post, the Israeli military said that the attack had originated in Yemen. It also clarified that the explosive sounds that were heard above central Israel had been made by the IDF's interceptors, which were fired at the incoming projectile.

Sirens were activated in the area from Tel-Aviv on the Mediterranean coast to the city of Modiin some 25km (18 miles) to its south-east at around 6:30am local time, the Times of Israel reported.

According to the paper, a missile reportedly hit an open area and caused a fire in the Ben Shemen forest, a few kilometers away from Ben Gurion International Airport outside Tel-Aviv. Shrapnel also damaged a train station on the outskirts of Modiin, and the police are looking for missile debris in other areas, it added. Nine people were slightly wounded as they ran for shelter amid the attack, Israel's ambulance service Magen David Adom has said.

BRICS, The Rise Of China, And How The Hegemon Buried The Concept Of 'Security'

brics meeting
The first meeting of security experts/National Security Advisors under the expanded BRICS+ format at the Konstantinovsky Palace in St. Petersburg unveiled quite a few nuggets.

Let's start with China. Foreign Minister Wang Yi proposed four BRICS-centric security initiatives. Essentially, BRICS+ - and beyond, considering further expansion - should aim at peaceful coexistence; independence; autonomy; and true multilateralism, which implies a rejection of Exceptionalism.

At the BRICS table, the overarching theme was how member-nations should support each other despite so many challenges - mostly unleashed by you-know-who.

On India, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu, meeting with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, stressed the strength of the alliance, "confidently standing the test of time".

Berlin will not lift restrictions on its more advanced weaponry, even if Ukraine's other allies do, German chancellor has said.

Germany will not allow its long-range weapons to be used for Ukrainian strikes deep into Russia, even if other states choose to do so, Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said.

Washington and London have suggested that they could allow Kiev to use missiles such as the American-made ATACMS and the British-made Storm Shadow to hit such targets.

Berlin retains its policy of not permitting Ukraine to use German-provided long-range weapons for such attacks, Scholz said on Saturday at a Q&A session in Prenzlau, Brandenburg.
"I'm sticking to my stance, even if other countries decide differently," Scholz said. "I won't do that because I think it's a problem."
Germany is Ukraine's second-largest military donor after the US. Berlin has provided or pledged more than €28 billion ($31 billion) in lethal aid to Kiev since the start of the conflict with Russia, according to data from the Federal Government website.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has accused RT and its parent company of acting as an extension of Russian intelligence and attempting to undermine democracy around the world.

Speaking at a State Department press conference on Friday, Blinken announced sanctions designations against RT parent companies Rossiya Segodnya and TV-Novosti, accusing "individuals affiliated" and "elements within" them of allegedly attempting to interfere in the Moldovan elections.

The State Department has also sanctioned Dmitry Kiselev, Rossiya Segodnya's director-general.

TV-Novosti was also accused of "being responsible for or complicit in, or having directly or indirectly engaged or attempted to engage in, interference" in US or other foreign elections "for or on behalf of, or for the benefit of, directly or indirectly," the Russian government.

SOTT Focus: Trump 'Safe And Well' After ANOTHER Assassination Attempt, Man With 'AK' Rifle Arrested - Caught Targeting President as he Played Golf

Mr Trump's motorcade heading to Mar-a-Lago after the incident
Former President Trump narrowly survived yet another assassination attempt after a sniper with a scoped AK-47 rifle got within a few hundred yards of him as he played golf at his West Palm Beach, Florida club on Friday.

It is the second time a madman armed with an assault rifle has tried to kill the 45th president in two months.

Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said the suspect had taken cover near a chain-link fence between 300-500 yards away from Trump, but conceded, "with a rifle and scope like that is not a long distance."

Law enforcement sources told The Post that the suspect is 58-year-old Ryan Routh of Hawaii.

Comment: More on the alleged shooter, Routh, whose politics appear to be largely pro-Western establishment narratives - pro-war against Russia - and which are, notably, also similar to those of the would-be-assassin of Slovakia's PM Fico.

In fact, he was so pro-Ukraine War, he was a leading recruiter of mercenaries for the Ukraine War in the US and possibly in Afghanistan.

Furthermore, if the data below is accurate, then one would imagine he was already known, in some way, by the security services.
Ryan Wesley Routh, the Suspect identified in today's Assassination Attempt on Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump in West Palm Beach, is said to have been heavily Involved with the Ukrainian International Legion; which he had previously assisted in the Recruitment for in 2022, when he was Interviewed by Newsweek in Romania.

The Newsweek interview (10 minutes in length):

He clearly came well-prepared not only to assassinate Trump, but to record his 'heroic deed':

People are finding evidence that he was a Democrat Party donor, though elsewhere he says on his social media that he identifies as politically 'independent':

Routh's social media is being pulled down but as you can see the man had so much of a social media footprint, folks have been able to glean a lot:

His alleged X account shows that he was "willing to fly to Ukraine and fight!"

And apparently to Taiwan:

Routh's alleged criminal record:

He was allegedly very active in trying to recruit fighters for Ukraine - the NYT article is from 2023 and is titled: 'Stolen Valour: The U.S. Volunteers in Ukraine who lie, waste and bicker'

Max Blumenthal has found that Routh published a 291-page book, "Unwinnable War," about his time in Ukraine's International Legion:
Routh says he'd like to see Putin assassinated, seems to hope for Trump's assassination as well, and calls for the US to "instigate" a nuclear war with Russia Stating he's neither a Democrat or Republican, Routh's clearly articulated mindset toward Russia mirrors that of Beltway hardliners. He offers gushing admiration for Juan Guaido, the Free Syrian Army, Myanmar rebels, and other CIA backed forces, while hinting at a friendship with MSNBC natsec hack and fellow International Brigade member Malcolm Nance.
routh book trump assassin
Referring to specific passages from Routh's book, Blumenthal shows that:
Ryan Routh calls for the assassination of Putin and Lukashenko of Belarus, arguing that their killing would bring on the demise of the Russian's state's viability as an independent power, as no one can succeed Putin.
And:
Routh urges the West to "instigate" a nuclear conflict with Russia and "strike first." He wants a "quick and decisive and powerful blow to end it once and for all," as the US did at the end of WWII.
And:
Routh declares himself a political independent, neither Republican or Democrat, but clearly loathes Trump.
And:
In a rambling passage, Routh appears to fantasize about the assassination of Trump as punishment his unraveling of the Iran deal.
And:
Routh spills lots of ink complaining about the Ukrainian state's waste and corruption. Here, he says it hampered the PR efforts of his International Legion comrade in arms in Kiev, "Malcolm," who appears to be MSNBC natsec hack and wannabe freedom fighter Malcolm Nance.
Update: It's been discovered that Routh, like Crooks, was ALSO in a Blackrock commercial:

Polish minister visiting Kiev calls for end to benefits for Ukrainian men in Europe

Andrii Sybiha Radoslaw Sikorsk

European governments should halt welfare benefits to Ukrainian men of military age who are living in their countries, Poland's foreign minister said, a measure he said would help Ukraine call up more troops to fight Russian forces.

Following a meeting in Kyiv with his Ukrainian counterpart, Poland's Radoslaw Sikorski said ending social benefits for Ukrainian male refugees would also benefit state finances in host countries in Western Europe.

More than 4.1 million Ukrainians had temporary protection status in European Union countries as of July this year, and about 22 per cent of them were adult men, according to data from the EU statistics office, Eurostat.

Comment: It says a lot about how the majority of Ukrainians feel about this war that they don't want to be involved in it.

Presumably Sikorski thinks impoverishing the men to be as passionate as the volunteer below:

Desperation is really revealing the true nature of some of Europe's politicians:

The world is full of idiots. Come on, do it finally and put an end to this world once and for all. Lithuanian Foreign Minister Landsbergis - demands that the West attack Russia:

"I think we can no longer remain silent. Ukraine must have a clear path to real security guarantees, not the ones we are signing now. And the only security guarantee I believe in is Article 5. How many tanks did it take for us and our allies to push Iraq out of Kuwait? About 4,000. How many troops? 800,000 soldiers. We have the ability to stop Putin. We have the ability to fight him in Ukraine and throw him out. We have the ability to make sure that he cannot continue any war he has planned."
But it may also be bringing out the better part of others: 'Blinken, get lost! We don't want to die for your war!' Polish MP calls out US Sec of State during visit to Warsaw

SOTT Focus: NewsReal: Nuclear War Remains Unlikely, But NATO-Russia Network War Escalates

nuclear war russia haiti newsreal

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer took his entire cabinet to Washington last week for a pow-wow with their American war allies to plead his case for allowing Ukraine to use long-range precision weapons to target Russian military bases and missile launch sites deep within Russia. Putin said Russia will 'respond in kind' and, although no one knows what that means, the Anglo-Americans are confident the Russian president is bluffing.

This week on NewsReal, Joe & Niall explain, again, that nuclear exchange isn't in play here; the two sides are indeed escalating, but under the threshold of M.A.D., and against the clock of Ukrainian statehood collapsing into its own footprint. Anyway, nothing major is likely to happen before the US election.

Speaking of which, what on Earth is all this post-debate nonsense between Trump and Harris supporters about Haitian immigrants sacrificing people's pets? As Joe dives into the voodoo, Niall brings up the NYT's election prediction: it's going to take 'days' to count all the votes, 'naturally', so the chances of Kamala not 'winning' are shrinking by the day...

Another September 11th

Collapsed Building
© Off-Guardian
Rolling out of my crib before dawn today (I was in it long before the charlatans Harris and Trump began their theatrical "debate"), it being another September 11th, I wondered where Dick Cheney was.

And I was still wondering where Elmer Gantry was, having received the previous day a form message from RFK, Jr.'s faith-based engagement team leader, Rev. Wendy Silvers, that she was conducting a "pop-up" prayer service for the great Ciceronians' debate, with Bobby Kennedy in the press room, rooting for his boy Donald.

Cheney and Harris vs. Kennedy and Trump. A tag-team match perfect for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).

I had just dreamed, or so I thought, that Cheney was out night-riding his white stallion across the Wyoming hills, long gun tight aside his saddle, cowboy hat slung back with a full moon shining on his melonic noggin, sea-shells in his ears as he grooved from side-to-side to the music of that other Kamala Harris endorser, Taylor Swift. It's always wonderful, wonderful, oh so wonderful to get political advice from a fully-clothed warmonger and a scantily-clad diva.

In my dream I heard another voice as night rider Dick ripped off his earphones and pulled back on the reins. "Dick, Dick," an eerie voice rang out:
'If you want to save your soul from hell a-riding on our range,
Then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will ride
-try'ng to catch the devil's herd
Across these endless skies'
Yippee-yi-ay, yippee-yi-o,
The ghost herd in the sky.
That was it, I threw my old clothes on and headed up the hill to the lake to clear my mind of such a nasty flic. Dick hadn't changed his ways since 2001, except to embrace Democratic war making instead of Republican.

Actually, that's wrong, for as Mr. Neocon, a signer of the bloodthirsty neo-conservative document the Project for the New American Century, he always welcomed and got bipartisan support to attack Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Iran.

The neo-cons who run the Democrats and Republicans alike, and whose document "Rebuilding America's Defenses" most interestingly stated long before COVID-19 that "advanced forms of biological warfare that can 'target' specific genotypes may transform biological warfare from the realm of terror to a politically useful tool."

You don't say.
