Israel-engineered terrorism in Aleppo shows Syria's key role in Axis of Resistance

Following the cessation of Israeli hostilities in Lebanon with a ceasefire on November 27, residents of south Lebanon, along with those from other affected regions, were finally able to return to their homes. However, certain border villages and towns have been classified as "high-risk" areas due to heightened security concerns, rendering them inaccessible for the time being.

There have even been reports about Israeli occupation forces stationed at the border opening fire at Lebanese people who tried to return to their homes after the ceasefire.

Meanwhile, a ceasefire in Lebanon coincided with the intensification of violent aggression in western Aleppo, where the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is currently engaged in confrontations against Israel-backed Takfiri terrorists incorrectly described in mainstream media as Syrian "rebels."

These terrorist groups, operating in Syria under the umbrella of Hayat Tahrir Al Sham, are supported by the Israeli regime and Western powers and represent a broader geopolitical dynamic at play.

Norway plans to establish a new NATO Arctic and amphibious warfare center where US, British, and Dutch marines will be trained amid heightened tensions with Russia, the Defense Ministry in Oslo announced on Friday.

The new hub will be created in the municipality of Sorreisa north of Lofoten in Norway's Arctic, some several hundred kilometers, as the crow flies, from Russia's strategic port of Murmansk, which is a key military and naval base.

The NATO member's facility will house several hundred soldiers and is expected to become fully operational in 2026.

This shows the rebel offensive in Syria. Notice the extended supply lines which are highly vulnerable to aerial interdiction. The rebels are overextended. And strategic Hama is well-defended. As I mentioned yesterday there are good reasons not to go all out in Aleppo.

In an excellent and timely article i the Cradle on the jihadist attack on Aleppo, Haidar Mustafa writes:
Military expert, Brigadier General Haitham Hassoun, confirms that preparations to launch this operation began "a long time ago," and that the participating groups established a joint ops room about a month and a half ago. He believes that the militants benefited from "misdirection" and electronic warfare media operations carried out by Turkish intelligence to camouflage their intentions and movements and by Turkish occupation forces inside Syria during the days preceding the shock offensive. The militants further benefited from sophisticated intel that helped them exploit existing loopholes on the ground and were aware of vacuums in the Syrian army's positions, which then led to this breach and confusion in the defense lines.
In other words, Turkey's pretense at not being party to the attack is just that — pretense.

The Russians will not be pleased.

Of course, they have never much trusted the fickle, fiddling Turks, but Putin has a known dislike for those who renege on agreements.

You can expect him to find ways to punish the Turks, who are generally unpopular throughout the Middle East, especially now that Syria being welcomed back into the Islamic fold.

Christopher Wray on chopping block: Trump taps longtime ally Kash Patel to lead FBI

President-elect Donald Trump has selected Kash Patel to lead the FBI, closing one of the last remaining presidentially appointed positions available two months before taking office — and putting current bureau boss Christopher Wray's tenure on the chopping block before his term expires.

"Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator and 'America First' fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the American People," Trump wrote on Truth Social Saturday night.

"He played a pivotal role in uncovering the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, standing as an advocate for truth, accountability, and the Constitution," he continued.

Comment: Some background on Mr. Patel's earlier activity on behalf of Trump:

Today in imperial recklessness and insanity

Predictably, Benjamin Netanyahu has responded to this decision by shrieking about antisemitism. He's doing this because he doesn't have anything resembling a real argument in his defense, and neither does anyone else.

The International Criminal Court has formally issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

No such arrest warrants were issued for President Biden or any of the other western officials who've been backing Israel's genocidal atrocities, which is a bit like a judge issuing a warrant for a mass murderer but not for the guy who gave him the gun and stood next to him handing him ammunition and drove the getaway car and lied to the police to cover up the crime.

Nothing will come of this new development because it is completely unenforcible and international law is only as real as the U.S. empire agrees to pretend it is, but it is a significant step in the deterioration of international consensus on Israel as the entire world watches the Zionist regime commit atrocity after atrocity right out in the open.

Warning

European elites are destroying Europe - again

Drown Euro

The tragedy of Europe is not something mysterious or ill-fated. It is the direct result of elitist rulers who have assiduously conducted policies that harm European citizens.

One would think that having suffered two world wars only decades apart, European politicians might be more cautious about starting another one. Incredibly, however, the countries of Europe are being plunged into another conflagration.

Not much has changed over a century, it seems. War is still the result of imperialist intrigue and no accountability to the masses of citizens by arrogant politicians aided by relentless media propaganda lies.

European elitist rulers are a treasonous clique who are destroying Europe because of their abject servility to U.S.-led Western imperialism.

To put it crudely, Europe is being abused like a bondage plaything for the Washington and European elites. Shudder the thought of Ursula von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas in dominatrix garb or Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz as the gimps. But sometimes, the truth can be stranger than fiction.

Pyongyang will continue to support Moscow in its quest to defend its national sovereignty against the West, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has said, according to the state-run KCNA news agency.

Kim made the remarks during a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov, who arrived in Pyongyang on Friday to discuss defense cooperation between the two countries.

Relations between Russia and North Korea reached a new high in June when they signed the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which stipulates that if one side is attacked, the other "shall provide military and other assistance with all means in its possession without delay."

Deception, manipulation, sabotage: How the UK keeps the Ukraine war going

Leaked papers expose a secret military operation that includes planning attacks, suppressing media and brainwashing the British public

Unless you want to be blind, it is obvious that Ukraine under the Zelensky regime is not remotely a free country. In politics, after massive repression, there are only remnants of an opposition, which face continuing oppression and harassment by the government, as even the French newspaper Le Monde, generally naïve about the Zelensky regime, has reported.

Ukraine's public sphere is stifled by nationalist propaganda, pressure, and demonstrative, intimidating terror. Before the escalation of 2022, even a robustly propagandistic tool of Western information warfare such as Freedom House could still acknowledge that much: its 2018 report, authored by Ukrainian researcher Vyacheslav Likhachev, identified Ukraine's Far Right organizations as "a threat to democracy" and "aggressively trying to impose their agenda on Ukrainian society, including by using force against those with opposite political and cultural views."

The "terrorist attack" was carried out by "gangs directed by Serbia," the breakaway region's prime minister has claimed

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has accused the Serbian authorities of being behind a blast on a canal that provides water to the breakaway region's two main coal-fired power plants.

Kurti spoke about the attack on the Ibar-Lepenac waterway near the town of Zubin Potok during a televised address on Friday evening. Parts of the region could be left without power if the damage caused by the explosion is not fixed soon, he warned.

"This is a criminal and terrorist attack aimed at damaging our critical infrastructure," the prime minister said.

Syrian and Russian jets struck jihadi targets in Aleppo Province, Syria, November 29, 2024
The bombing has thwarted the offensive launched by militants on the town of Tel Rifat, RIA Novosti has reported

Syria has launched an airstrike targeting a motorized column of terrorists in the country's northwestern Aleppo Province, RIA Novosti has reported, citing local security sources. The news agency has published aerial footage showing the raid.

The strike was ordered in response to a surprise counteroffensive launched by the militants against Syrian troops on Wednesday. Hayat Tahrir-al-Sham (HTS), a terrorist group formerly known as Jabhat al-Nusra and affiliated with Al Qaeda, attacked government-controlled territory in the north of the country on Wednesday alongside a collection of allied militias, breaking a fragile truce brokered by Russia and Türkiye in 2020.
