Gonzalo Lira
One of Ukraine's most important whistleblowers, former Parliamentarian and People's Deputy, Oleksandr Dubinsky, currently imprisoned by President Zelensky, has released a stunning video testimony this week - which exposes an egregious crime committed by his country's Secret Service (SBU) against a U.S. citizen who was residing in Ukraine.

Presently, Dubinsky is being held in a secure facility where his is currently awaiting trial, after the state after a criminal case had been initiated against him for the alleged crime of high treason.

In his video below, Dubinsky reveals more crucial details about the death of Gonzalo Lira, a popular American video blogger and independent journalist, who reportedly died under unusual circumstanced while held in custody for criticizing the Zelensky government's performance in the war, as well as criticism of Kiev regime's repression of religious freedom in Ukraine.

Trump's Ukraine wake-up call: Points he's now making are what Russia said all along

Trump
Let's play a game: It's called "Putin says, and so does Trump." Because, recently, after years of disagreeing on, really, everything - from the order of the world to the meaning of simple phrases such as "not one inch" - the leaderships of Russia and the US have suddenly found not merely a common language, but a lot to agree on.

In particular regarding Ukraine, which used to be the Ground Zero of their great disagreement. That's a good thing in case you wonder. As in, the good things that keep the world from burning, literally. The US president has just observed that World War III had become a real possibility under the preceding Biden/Harris (or whoever was really in charge) administration. And he's correct: There's a reason why the metaphorical fingers of the famous Doomsday Clock of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists have crept "closer than ever" to "midnight."

Now, the American president agrees with the Russian one that Ukraine's leader Vladimir Zelensky is one election short. Indeed, in a withering social media post, Trump has been blunt: Zelensky is a "dictator."

Comment: It is about time that an adult with common sense inhabits the White House and it is a breath of fresh air for the reality bound world. Trump is not perfect and does not see reality in all areas, but it is still good to see that ideology is not the main driving force.

Senate confirms Kash Patel as FBI director

The Senate on Thursday narrowly voted to confirm Kash Patel as director of the FBI, moving to place him atop the nation's premier federal law enforcement agency despite doubts from Democrats about his qualifications and concerns he will do Donald Trump's bidding and go after the Republican president's adversaries.

"I cannot imagine a worse choice," Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., told colleagues before the 51-49 vote by the GOP-controlled Senate. Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska were the lone Republican holdouts.

A Trump loyalist who has fiercely criticized the agency, Patel will inherit an FBI gripped by turmoil as the Justice Department over the past month has forced out a group of senior bureau officials and made a highly unusual demand for the names of thousands of agents who participated in investigations related to the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Comment: From the tone of this piece, clearly the AP is unhappy with Patel's confirmation. Perhaps they are worried they may have to grace a future hearing on USAID?

Trump looks to correct a disastrous 1990's mistake

Trump

President Donald Trump took proactive steps to broker peace between Ukraine and Russia, actions that give me cautious optimism. Of course, his bold initiative has led the warmongers and TDS-sufferers to scream, "He's a Russian agent!" However, Trump's moves break through decades of neocon-inspired anti-Russian propaganda to strive for a lasting peace in the region. Essentially, Trump is arguing that Russia is more beneficial as an ally than an adversary and that America's historical decision to promise NATO membership to Ukraine was a significant strategic error. Both these things should be simple common sense.

The geopolitical landscape post-Cold War presented the United States with a unique chance to redefine its relationship with Russia. But instead of fostering an alliance that could bring about long-term peace, the neocons in both the George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton administrations — supported by the military-industrial complex — wanted to keep the NATO bureaucracy alive. So they treated 1990's Russia as a weakened enemy to be exploited. It was like kicking a dog that's already seriously injured. Once the dog heals, however, it's going to remember who kicked it.

Comment: We tend to recognize pivotal moments in hindsight. Trump saw his in real time.

West should repair oil infrastructure damaged by Ukraine - Putin

The recently targeted Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station is operated by a consortium partly controlled by American companies.

Repairs to an oil pumping station in southern Russia damaged by a Ukrainian drone strike on Monday should be covered by the facility operator's Western co-owners, President Vladimir Putin has suggested. The infrastructure is operated by the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), which is partly controlled by US and EU companies.

The station was attacked on Monday by at least seven Ukrainian drones, Russia's deputy prime minister and former energy minister, Aleksandr Novak, told Putin during a government meeting on Tuesday. The strike damaged critical components, prompting its operators to resort to a reserve pumping scheme and slash capacity by 30-40%, the official said.

According to Novak, restoring the station's full capacity would require "major repairs" since it used Western equipment, including from Germany's Siemens, which has previously refused to supply equipment for Russian gas pipelines, citing sanctions. Repairing the facility could, according to Novak, take "quite along time."

The Western CPC shareholders are also taking part in the damage assessment, Novak said, adding that the list of consortium members includes US giants Chevron and ExxonMobil.

Comment: Kiev has attacked internationally operated energy infrastructure in "latest tantrum", according to Lavrov:
During a press briefing following bilateral talks with the US diplomatic delegation in Riyadh, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov remarked:
"Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky needs to be "brought to his senses" and reprimanded in response to Kiev's recent attack on a pumping station linked to a major international oil pipeline.
"This latest tantrum was essentially an attack on Kazakhstan's energy infrastructure. One can only guess why 'someone in Kiev' gave the order.

"But this should only strengthen everyone's resolve that this cannot continue. Zelensky and his whole team need to be brought to their senses, given a slap on the wrist."
According to Lavrov, US diplomats suggested putting a "moratorium" on strikes on energy infrastructure during Tuesday's bilateral talks.
"We explained that we never jeopardized the systems which supply power for the population. Russia only targeted those objects that directly serve the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

'You should've never started' this war - Trump to Zelensky

Ukraine had enough time to make a deal with Russia, the US president said in response to Kiev's complaints about being sidelined from Riyadh talks.

US President Donald Trump criticized Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky on Tuesday following complaints from Kiev about being sidelined in the US-Russia peace talks in Saudi Arabia. Speaking to reporters at his Mar-a-Largo residence Trump said he is "very disappointed" with Zelensky over his failure to resolve a conflict that he "should've never started."

Trump's remarks followed Tuesday's high-level meeting in Riyadh, which outraged both the EU and Ukraine, who were not invited to the discussions. Zelensky described the meeting as "disreputable," rebuking the US for "helping Putin get out of years of isolation" and treating Russia as "a victim." He also insisted that his country would reject any terms that might result from negotiations in Saudi Arabia.

The US president responded that Zelensky and other Ukrainian officials are in no position to complain about not being invited to the talks. He further blamed Zelensky for failing to resolve the conflict despite having years to do so:
"Today I heard, 'We weren't invited.' Well, you've been there for three years, you should've ended it... You should've never started it. You could've made a deal."
The US president pointed out that negotiations with Russia were going "very well," expressing confidence that he has "the power to end this war" in order "to save lives."

Comment: There is will; there is way.

Trump brands Zelensky 'dictator without elections'

The Ukrainian leader earlier criticized the US for holding peace talks with Russia and excluding officials from Kiev.

US President Donald Trump has labeled Ukraine's Vladimir Zelensky a "dictator without elections," accusing him of mismanaging the conflict with Russia and misusing American financial aid. Tensions between Washington and Kiev have intensified following US-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia this week.

Posting on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday, Trump criticized Zelensky, stating that the Ukrainian leader had "talked the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to go into a War that couldn't be won." He further claimed that Zelensky "refuses to have Elections, is very low in Ukrainian Polls."

"A Dictator without Elections, Zelensky better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left," Trump warned.

Comment: Trump's assessment is spot on.

Justice: Almost fired for working with DOGE, Social Security fraud expert now leads the agency

Leland Dudek social security
Leland Dudek, from his now-deleted LinkedIn
Leland Dudek was an obscure bureaucrat at the Social Security Administration who dedicated his career to stopping fraud. But when he worked with the Department of Government Efficiency to do just that, he came close to being fired.

"At 4:30pm EST, my boss called me to tell me I had been placed on administrative leave pending an Investigation," Dudek wrote on LinkedIn. "They want to fire me for cooperating with DOGE," he wrote in a now-deleted post obtained by The Daily Wire.

Then, a stunning reversal occurred. It was Acting Social Security Commissioner Michelle King who was out of a job. And Dudek was reinstated with a big promotion — taking her job leading the massive agency on an interim basis.

Comment: Dudek's full post on LinkedIn:
Disclaimer: The views expressed in this post are my own. They do not reflect the official position of the US Government or the Social Security Administration.

Colleagues:

At 4:30pm EST, my boss called to tell me that I had been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. They want to fire me for cooperating with DOGE.

I confess. I helped DOGE understand SSA. I mailed myself publically [sic] accessible documents and explained them DOGE. [sic]

I confess. I moved contractor money around to add data science resources to my anti-fraud team to examine Direct Deposit Fraud.

I confess. I asked where the fat was and is in our contracts so we can make the right tough choice. Lt's [sic] end the revolving door of an executive being a fed one day, letting a fat cat contract, and then walking out the next day for that contractor.

I confess. I bullied agency executives, shared executive contact information, and circumvented the chain of command to connect DOGE with the people who get stuff done.

I confess. I work long hours. I work odd hours. I get the job done.

I confess. I talk to agency partners, advocates, and others about our challenges. I'm honest. I won't reveal PII, FTI, or sensitive information. I educate.

I confess. I post uncomfortable truths on Linkedin. I have a lifetime of posts in me.

Everything I have ever done is in service to our country, our beneficiaries, and our agency.

Charting Alex Soros's growing dominance in Washington

© Kevin Dietsch, Jason Alden/Bloomberg, Fabrice Coffrini/AFP via Getty ImagesAlex Soros, middle, a son to liberal billionaire George Soros, right, made frequent visits to the White House since President Biden took office in 2021.
Finding links to the Soros family in the Joe Biden White House should come as no surprise. In addition to George's decades-long meddling in our politics, he spent tens of millions backing Biden and other Democrats in 2020, and Alex got in on the action too, throwing $700,000 at the would-be worst president of the 21st century.

As documented in the book The Man Behind the Curtain: Inside the Secret Network for George Soros (2022), George planted his seeds of influence in the Biden White House even before Biden took office.

During the transition, the incoming Biden administration assembled "Transition Review Teams" that included people tasked with understanding the operations of specific government agencies to help the administration "hit the ground running on day one." Seventeen picks for those teams either worked directly for his Open Society Foundations (OSF) or other Soros-funded organizations.

White House: Zelensky 'short-sighted' for rejecting rare-earths deal

The White House has criticized Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky as "short-sighted" for refusing to sign a deal that would grant Washington access to Ukraine's mineral resources, the Associated Press reported on Monday.

The proposal was reportedly a key topic of Zelensky's recent talks with US Vice President J.D. Vance at the Munich Security Conference.

US President Donald Trump has recently demanded the "equivalent of $500 billion worth of rare earths" from Ukraine in exchange for what he estimates to be "more than $300 billion" that Washington has provided to Kiev in various forms of aid during its conflict with Moscow. However, Zelensky has pushed back, stating that he seeks a mutually beneficial "partnership" rather than simply handing over Ukraine's natural resources.
