The Democrat-concocted 'Maryland Man' hoax is aiming to demonize border security

The propaganda press's latest manufactured sob story isn't just another hit piece targeting President Donald Trump — it's part of a manufactured, strategic campaign to guilt Americans out of supporting immigration enforcement and delegitimize the very concept of national borders.

Last month the Trump administration deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal alien and alleged MS-13 gang member from El Salvador — to a prison in El Salvador.

Abrego Garcia crossed the border illegally in 2011 and was detained in March of 2019. He was charged with removability and was later denied bond when an immigration judge concluded that evidence "show[ed] [Abrego Garcia] is a verified member of MS-13" and found that he failed to prove "that his release from custody would not pose a danger to others." As explained by Will Chamberlain, senior counsel at the Article 3 Project, Abrego filed an asylum claim six months later. In turn, a judge ruled Abrego Garcia could not be deported to El Salvador. As Chamberlain explained, "Any third country would be sufficient."

Social Security Administration will conduct identity verification for all in-person claims, too

The Social Security Administration (SSA) implemented anti-fraud tools to protect customers who file claims over the phone following Elon Musk's warning that fraudsters were targeting the agency's call-in lines to steal benefits.

The agency launched measures that will "identify suspicious activity in telephone claims by analyzing patterns and anomalies within a person's account," effective immediately, according to the SSA.

The agency said if the technology detects irregularities, the individual will be required "to complete in-person identity proofing to continue processing their claim."

The agency will still conduct identity verification for all in-person claims, too.

Comment: The scope of the ineptitude, if not downright fraud of the SSA, is breath-taking:

It is frighteningly easy to picture a situation in which President Trump steps off a plane and declares: "I have in my hands a paper signed by Mister Putin, there will be peace for our time." When Neville Chamberlain declared "peace for our time" on 30 September 1938, holding up the Munich Agreement which condoned the German Annexation of the Sudetenland, the world was at war only one year later.

87 years later, about one kilometre away from the venue of the Munich Conference 1938, US Vice-President James David Vance made it abundantly clear at the Munich Security Conference 2025, that the USA expect Europe to "step up in a big way to provide for its own defence." Should Russia, against this background, choose to test the true value of Article 5 NATO-Treaty, for example by attacking the peripheral areas of the Black Sea Region or the Baltic States, this would be the ultimate test for NATO. Would the USA still risk a military confrontation over a city like Narva? Even as a presidential candidate, Trump questioned the US-commitment by declaring that it might not protect allies who fail to meet their contributions to NATO.

Is "De-Dollerization" on the table? BRICS summit approaches as trade war simmers

For many years now I have been talking about the growing global economic divide between East and West. This volatile opposition between the BRICS nations and the US is not a product of the Trump era. It has been decades in the making with a myriad of complex working parts and numerous US trading partners have been preparing for the fallout as far back as 2008.

At the same time behind the scenes there have been malicious influences at play: Special interests within the Davos community have been working diligently to undermine the US economy and the dollar.

But what is the ultimate aim of this agenda?

In 2018 I published an article titled 'World War III Will Be An Economic War' - In it I outlined the basic mechanics of the East vs West paradigm and how banking institutions like the IMF and BIS were positioning to take advantage of the chaos. At the time, the "trade war" witnessed a kind of false start, but all the pieces were there for what we are seeing today. Don't let the 90 day pauses on some tariffs fool you, economic decoupling is going to be the dominant theme of the decade and the tariffs will undoubtedly spring up over and over again.

Trump's incredible return to the White House sets the stage for the end of globalism (and that's a good thing), but I want to make it clear that the pitfalls are numerous and the establishment could try to use the end of the old world order to bring in their "new world order".

EU 'working for war' - Kremlin

Brussels is pushing military aid for Kiev as Moscow and Washington try to achieve peace in the Ukraine conflict. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said:
"The EU is working to prolong the Ukraine conflict while Russia and the US are attempting to end it through their "intense" diplomatic contacts."
Western European defense chiefs met last week to discuss the idea of sending a so-called "reassurance" force to Ukraine, which is being actively pushed by the UK and France despite escalation warnings from Moscow.

In March, the European Commission proposed an $840 billion rearmament plan for the bloc, supposedly to deter Russia and to continue military aid to Kiev.

Zelensky started the war then begged for missiles - Trump

The Ukrainian leader has recently renewed his call for Washington to supply air defense systems.

Ukraine's Vladimir Zelensky should never have started a war with Russia, US President Donald Trump has said.

In a press conference alongside El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele in the Oval Office on Monday, Trump commented on Zelensky's recent offer to finance $15 billion worth of Patriot air defense batteries with the aid of Kiev's European backers.
"He's always looking to purchase missiles. When you start a war, you got to know that you can win the war. You don't start a war against somebody that's 20 times your size and then hope that people give you some missiles."
Trump added that he gave Kiev American-made Javelin man-portable anti-tank missiles during his first presidency.

Can Israel & Turkiye manage their escalating rivalry in Syria?

Ben and Erdo

The "deconfliction mechanism" that they're reportedly discussing would likely be insufficient for resolving their security dilemma and might thus only delay what could be an inevitable clash.

Israel and Turkiye held talks in Azerbaijan last week on the creation of a so-called "deconfliction mechanism" for preventing an accidental conflict between them in Syria. No details were disclosed but it might resemble the one that Israel and Russia agreed upon in September 2015 and which is still in use. Unlike its precedent, however, this new one that's reportedly in the works has much higher stakes given the escalating Israeli-Turkish rivalry in Syria since the fall of the Assad Government last December.

Israel never regarded post-Soviet Russia as a threat, and in fact, relations between them are closer than ever under Putin due to his lifelong passionate philo-Semitism. Their "deconfliction mechanism" therefore wasn't all that difficult to negotiate and maintain since Russia had no ideological or strategic reason to interfere with Israel's regular bombing of the IRGC and Hezbollah in Syria. Israeli-Russian relations sharply contrast with Israeli-Turkish ones, however, in the ways that'll now be explained.

Comment: Enough speculation. We should tell this author to 'wait and see'.

Trump used 'Emergency Powers' to impose his tariffs. Should we be concerned?

Trump did not fully usurp dictatorial powers to impose his tariffs.... However, his actions, particularly his use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) and other emergency powers, have raised significant concerns among critics, legal scholars, and some members of Congress that he is pushing the boundaries of executive authority in ways that could be seen as authoritarian or dictatorial. Grok
Meet The New Boss, Same as the Old Boss
We just learned that the world's most powerful person, Donald Trump, has a boss: the bond market.
He may not have acknowledged this to himself, but the global financial tumult he caused.... has locked him in a fiscal prison. ....He is totally in hock to the goodwill of bonds investors....

He has also handed a loaded gun to his perceived enemy, China, and his supposed ally Japan.... The loaded guns they have are the... more than a trillion dollars of US Treasuries and China not much less. If they were to sell those bonds, or even if they chose not to refinance maturing bonds, that could be a disaster for Trump. Because it could cause another potentially crippling spike in bond yields.

Here is the measure of Trump's debacle. He may well have trashed America's single most important financial competitive advantage, namely that investors have traditionally bought the dollar and US Treasuries at a time of economic and political uncertainty. No more - because he personally has become the world's source of economic uncertainty and anxiety. So, as I say he is now in a fiscal prison. And if bond investors, including Japan and China, see him imposing tariffs or cutting taxes in ways they don't like,... they have the means and power to stop him. Robert Peston@Peston

Why have the markets responded so erratically to Trump's "Liberation Day" announcement?

Investors don't like uncertainty. Uncertainty breeds fear, fear breeds panic, and panic breeds crashing markets. Trump's sudden imposition of sweeping tariffs triggered the fear that fundamental changes in global trade would produce higher inflation, slower growth, disrupted supplylines, and escalating conflict with America's trading partners. These are the anticipated outcomes that put investors on edge and sent markets plunging.

Trump has tried to allay investor fears by presenting his tariffs as an essential part of his "America First" policy. He is trying to convince his supporters that these new duties will "liberate" working Americans from what-Trump-calls "unfair trade practices." (In a speech "he compared the tariffs to a declaration of economic independence drawing parallels to other historic US milestones.")

What can we extrapolate from this?

Is Algeria the key to Africa's renewal?

As Algeria gears up geopolitically, economically, and militarily, France and other nations still seem bent on controlling the North African country of 44 million.

Given the reopening of cooperation between Algiers and Paris and moves by Russia and the United States, it seems the Algerians are playing the field to put the country in a more prestigious geopolitical position.

France Booted

Given all the recent activity surrounding Algeria, the question of whether or not the country is the key to solidarity in North Africa arises. Few realize that Algeria was once a major power in the Mediterranean, invaded and later conquered by France in the 19th century. The people of the country suffered tremendously because of French colonialism. The French rule ushered in massive European settlement that displaced the local population. At least one-third of the population was eradicated due to warfare, disease, and starvation.

The country's historical importance is dramatically underestimated. This is evidenced by artifacts of unparalleled uniqueness dating back 2.5 million years ago. Algeria is perhaps best known as the center of the Carthaginian Empire. A diversion into the creation and extent of the Fatimid Caliphate (909AD -1171AD) is far too broad to cover here. What's important to note is that this caliphate extended across all of North Africa and as far as Syria and the shores of the Red Sea. Likewise, this report is not the right place to discuss Shia Islam, or the political and religious, philosophical and social elements that worked to transform Algeria and North Africa in ancient times. It is, however, vital that we realize how this region has enormous potential and importance. This is highlighted by the geopolicy and business aimed at Algiers.

Russian strike on Sumy targeted Ukrainian and NATO officers - Lavrov

At least 60 senior military personnel were killed during the missile attack, according to Moscow

Sunday's missile strike on the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy was aimed at senior Ukrainian and Western military personnel, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.

His comments followed a report from the Russian Defense Ministry, which confirmed that two Iskander-M missiles had struck the location, killing at least 60 senior commanders.

"We have facts about who was at the facility that was hit in Sumy. It was another meeting of Ukrainian military leaders with their Western colleagues, who were either masquerading as mercenaries or I don't know who," Lavrov told Interfax on Monday.

Comment: " killing at least 60 senior commanders" What could that mean?
The Wikis explains that senior officer in the military can have ranks with names that will depend on whether it is within the army, navy or airforce, and also varies a little depending on the country. Ranks within this tier of the army includes colonels, lieutenant colonels and majors. This rank is just below the level of generals, but above that of junior officers, within which the highest rank is captain who will be in command of a company of 100-250 soldiers. A US colonel will command a brigade of soldiers, or around 4000-6000 men, a lieutenant colonel a regiment, and a major a battalion.

Since there are not officially any NATO soldiers in Ukraine, the deceased can look forward to a low key funeral, possibly with the family having signed non-disclosure agreement.

It might be possible to glean who was hurt the most from the subsequent developments.

The same source carried an article:

Medvedev brands incoming German chancellor a 'Nazi'
The context for this accusation was:
In an interview with state broadcaster ARD, Merz, the leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party and the likely future leader of Germany, stated that Berlin could supply long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine, but only if it is done in coordination with other EU nations.

Kiev should in the future use Western-supplied missiles to go on the offensive and destroy, for example, "the most important land connection between Russia and Crimea," Merz said.

Merz did not clarify if he meant the Crimean bridge, which stretches from Russia's Krasnodar Region to Crimea, or the 'land bridge' that Russian forces established with the peninsula when the former Ukrainian region off Kherson joined Russia.

However, many critics have interpreted Merz's words to mean the Crimean bridge, especially given that Kiev has already conducted a number of attacks on it since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022.
So much for the Germans.

Who else has put up a voice? British PM Keir Starmer had this to say on X.com
Keir Starmer on Sumy attack
© X.com
"President Zelenskyy has shown his commitment to peace." Yes!? In general, Starmer's concern for the victims rings hollow, as some of the comments to the post points out, but if one takes the angle that he might have lost a couple of his own voters and compatriots then it might be appropriate of him to come out and say he feels for the (British military) families that are now short of a member.

But were there any British soldiers lost recently? Besides Sumy, one hypothesis is that a target for an attack on the town of Odessa included a secret hospital to which wounded British soldiers from the attack on Sumy should have been transported in helicopters. It is not impossible, since the distance from Sumy to Odessa is substantially shorter than trying to get to Poland, but still around three hours away by helicopter. A similar situation to that of Odessa, occured in the town of Poltava around the same time, much closer by the way, but were there British casualties?

Another hypothesis is that when a military industrial complex, the Antonov aircraft factory in Kiev, was hit, some British also called it enough.

One of the building at the premises was used for assembling drones.
The other day, Geraniums and, presumably, Iskanders flew through Kiev, but monitoring resources provided minimal details. Basically, there were shots of powerful fires and a series of explosions - apparently, a secondary detonation that lasted several hours. The details were leaked by the Polish media a couple of days later.

According to the data aif.ru The Polish online portal Onet published previously unknown details - the most severe explosions occurred at the Antonov aircraft factory. This military enterprise developed long-range UAVs, apparently, including the "Fierce" ones - converted Turkish Bayraktars, with which the enemy tried to attack Moscow and the Moscow region. The main target was the hangar, where the final stage of assembly took place, but attacks also hit neighboring infrastructure facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
[...]
The main beneficiaries of providing attack drones to Kiev are Turks, Latvians and the British. Judging by the reports of military bloggers, there are a lot of the latter in Kiev, like the French in Odessa.
The site speculates that some of the people from the donor countries, including British, were present at this facility in Kiev. That may not be true, as it was a night time, but during a conflict night shift can occur, even for high ranking supervisors, so it is a possibility. Regarding what was said about French presence in Odessa, did the helicopters with suspected British, mentioned earlier, actually carry wounded French?

By the way, some of the recent strikes into Russia may also have taken a number of Russian officers. War is rarely a one sided game where only one side looses.

It is hard to fact-check a claim that there were "western tourists" in Sumy, or that some of those claimed to have died there, actually expired when they were in a makeshift secret repair shop. We may never know the details, but something serious happened. The Western belligerents prefer to keep their presence secret and Russia respects that choice enough to not cause them outright embarrassment, by giving name etc. Thus all we are left with is circumstantial evidence.
