Why normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia won't happen now, regardless of what Trump wants

Donald Trump aims to push Israel-Saudi normalization next week during his meeting with Mohammed bin Salman. MBS favors a weapons deal and a defense pact, while Israel will be in the background, working to ensure its regional dominance remains intact.

Next Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to host Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) at the White House.

Trump has been talking a lot about brokering a normalization agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel, the United States' two most valued allies in the Middle East. But for all Trump's talk, this is something that is certainly beyond his reach.

In the future, political conditions may change, and the long-sought-after Israel-Saudi normalization agreement may become a reality. But for now, those conditions are pure fantasy.

The Trump-Orbán summit - A blueprint for peace in a divided Europe

In the heart of Washington, D.C., at the White House on November 7, 2025, US President Donald Trump welcomed Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

This was not a routine diplomatic meeting, but a strategic dialogue that signals a fundamental shift in the geopolitical landscape of Central and Eastern Europe. The two leaders understand that the CEE region can no longer be a hostage to ideological wars and sanctions that are devastating its economies.

In the shadow of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Trump and Orbán emphasized that peace requires dialogue, not escalation. Their conversation, marked by mutual respect, highlighted Hungary's key role as a voice of reason in Europe and opened a path for potential agreements that could end the suffering of millions. Trump, pointing to Orbán, called him a "great leader" and for good reason. Under his leadership, Hungary has become a symbol of sovereignty and pragmatism in a region where others often yield to Western pressure.

"Our Democracy" (I'm Sure)

"How do empires fall? Not by war, but by unbalanced minds disconnected from reality."
— The Vigilant Fox on "X"
By now, whenever you hear anyone invoke the phrase "saving our democracy," that should be a signal that they are intent on destroying this republic, and with that, your natural rights to free speech, economic liberty, and public order. What began in 2016 as a simple, high-level plot to take out Donald Trump and squash Trumpism — a grassroots revolt against those very high-level DC insiders — turned sharply in 2017 into a long-running cover-up operation that spawned a multiplying cycle of seditions, treasons, and betrayals of the public — as the insiders desperately tried to evade culpability for each previous act — and finally blossomed into a rolling coup with crypto-Jacobin overtones as the insiders' useful idiots were recruited to run with the ball of color revolution.

Gustavo Petro said that the US president's actions don't help stop drug traffickers

Colombian President Gustavo Petro has denounced the US strikes on alleged cartel vessels in the Caribbean Sea as the Pentagon announced a new operation to fight drug traffickers.

Colombia has historically cooperated with the US on security matters, particularly in dealing with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro's government and fighting drug trafficking, although their policy alignment has recently shifted under Petro, a former M-19 Marxist guerrilla.

In an interview with NBC News, Petro did not mince words when criticizing US President Donald Trump. "He's a barbarian," Petro said in excerpts aired Thursday. "He wants to frighten us," he added.

SOTT Focus: Tucker Exposes Trump Would-Be Assassin Thomas Crooks' Social Media History, The FBI Coverup, And More Strangeness

Tucker Carlson has just released a deep dive into Donald Trump's attempted assassin, Thomas Crooks - who both the Biden and the Trump FBI have been very quiet about since the July 13, 2024 shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania.

In late September, Carlson's team received an anonymous tip from someone who said they had gained access to some of Crooks' online accounts, which he found using 'tools commonly used by private investigators' after obtaining Crooks' phone number and gmail address from public documents. He then traced that to two encrypted foreign email accounts (bcook[at]mailfence.com and americangamer[at]gmx.com). He also had a snapchat account, a Venmo, Zelle and PayPal account among several others.

"It turns out that Crooks was hardly an online ghost," Carlson reports. "And yet, federal investigators lied and told us there was no trace of him online."

The source was able to obtain all materials from Crooks' deactivated YouTube account - which includes his search history, watch history, and 737 public comments.

When Carlson's team asked the FBI why they hadn't shared this information with the public, the agency replied by asking if they could verify the authenticity of the shooter's account.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated his political allies on Friday after a coalition led by the ruling party secured a majority in a local election in Bahar, one of the country's most populous states.

The Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has already won over 200 seats in the 243-member Bihar Assembly with the vote count still underway. The prime minister's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which contested 101 seats in alliance with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), has emerged as the single largest party, despite never having been in power alone in Bihar. The NDA's combined tally exceeding 200 seats guarantees Kumar a fifth term as chief minister. Bihar sends 40 lawmakers to India's lower house of Parliament, making it crucial for any ruling coalition in New Delhi.

"People of Bihar [have] voted for development. They have broken all records," Modi said, addressing his party workers at BJP headquarters in New Delhi. He also posted on X congratulating the NDA coalition and suggesting that it was a victory of "good governance," "development" and "social justice."

US President Donald Trump held an Oval Office call with Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, expanding the Abraham Accords to include the central Asian nation.

Kazakhstan has officially pledged to join the Abraham Accords, a series of US-brokered agreements launched in 2020 to normalise diplomatic relations between Israel and Arab nations.

US President Donald Trump expanded the accords by securing President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's commitment to sign the agreement during a phone call attended by the two leaders and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The call was made from the Oval Office during a visit by Tokayev to Washington for the C5+1 summit, a gathering involving the leaders of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the United States. The US also finalised a $1.1 billion dollar deal granting an American firm rights to develop Kazakhstan's critical minerals deposits.

At the C5+1 summit, Trump made the gesture by inviting Tokayev to join a phone call with Netanyahu to reaffirm Kazakhstan's intent to join the initiative.

Polish President slams Polish PM Tusk as the worst PM since communist era

Polish President Karol Nawrocki

The feud between Karol Nawrocki and Donald Tusk stems from internal national issues and divergent views on Ukraine.

Donald Tusk is the worst Polish prime minister in more than three decades, President Karol Nawrocki has claimed. The two top officials have been locked in a public feud over national issues as well as positions on Ukraine.

In an interview to wPolsce24 broadcaster this week, Nawrocki stated that he considers Tusk the "worst prime minister in the post-1989 history of Poland."

Tusk took a shot at Nawrocki in a post on X last Friday, by claiming the president had refused to assign officer ranks to 136 graduates who had recently completed intelligence and counter-intelligence training.

"To be president, it is not enough to win the election," the prime minister wrote, apparently referring to Nawrocki, who was quick to dismiss the allegation.

In his Tuesday interview, Nawrocki, in turn, accused Tusk of forbidding the heads of Poland's secret services from attending a meeting with the president.

Comment: The almost unlimited support for Ukraine is putting strain on the people in Poland and politicians are feeling the heat.

Trump announces deals with Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk to slash weight loss drug prices, offer some Medicare coverage

President Donald Trump on Thursday announced deals with Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk to slash the prices of some of their obesity drugs, including upcoming pills, in a landmark effort to expand access to the costly blockbuster treatments.
The agreements will cut prices of so-called GLP-1 drugs for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries in 2026 and offer the treatments directly to consumers at a discount on a website the Trump administration is launching in January called TrumpRx.gov.

That means Medicare will start covering obesity drugs for some patients for the first time starting mid-2026, a long-awaited move that could broaden the market for the medicines and spur more private insurers to cover them. Certain Medicare patients will pay a copay of $50 per month for all approved uses of injectable and oral GLP-1 drugs, including diabetes and obesity treatment.

US intel revealed Israeli officials discussing use of human shields in Gaza, sources say

The U.S. gathered intelligence last year of Israeli officials discussing how their soldiers had sent Palestinians into Gaza tunnels the Israelis believed were potentially lined with explosives, according to two former U.S. officials familiar with the matter.

The information was shared with the White House and analyzed by the intelligence community in the final weeks of former President Joe Biden's administration, the officials said.

International law prohibits the use of civilians as shields during military activity.

Officials inside the Biden administration had long raised concerns about news reports that indicated Israeli soldiers were using Palestinians to potentially protect themselves in Gaza. Washington's collection of its own evidence on the subject has not been previously reported.

Comment: Of course the U.S. lawyers would make that determination. Have to keep their fat paychecks.
Israel treats Palestinians as sub-humans.
