Still salty from the sight of the leaders of China, India and Russia "conspiring" against him at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Tianjin last week, Trump has launched a 'rebranding' of the US Department of Defense to its pre-WW2 name: the Department of War! A bad omen? A more honest name? It certainly heralds the end of an era.

On this week's show, we discuss Americans' difficulties adjusting to the new multipolar global order, their apparent misconception that being 'the pole' country of the Western hemisphere gives them legal/moral right to bully Venezuela for control of its natural resources, and their chronic avoidance of rampant crime much closer to home.

Good discussion in general so far - I appreciate particularly the discussion commencing around 1:16 in. Mention of JFK and that UN guy who name has an "H" in it I think....but hindsight is 20-20 and now here we are.

Unipolarity it ought be evident by now is a dead-end road - and might as well call it the "Department of Offense" versus the Department of War, but frankly it seems the Department of Defense is what really is in the interest of citizens - so enough of the theatrics - the world is changing - cause better ideas beckon - and there is no way to stop a better idea - by definition.

At least the Trump administration is more honest about that.

Because for 200 years, the USA never fought a war against another nation on it's own soil or at its borders. The US has never been "defending" itself.

Self-disclosure: I like the article title and the idea conceptually - but I admit I couldn't bring myself to read it all after the beginning......cause well it probably would feel like "re-hashing" old ground I've walked already before I fully realized better about "evil".....

But - with that said, besides "evil" entities - who could be against Peace?

Cause I know most of "us" are against War - so really - whose ideology prevails I wonder...

parzival I would agree.

Trump (and the people behind him) had identified London and the EU as their greatest enemy more than a decade ago, probably two. Which is why they abolished LIBOR in his first term, and came up with SOFR instead.

Now they need to deal with the collaborators and infiltrators in the US itself, while they crush them economically and financially in coordination with Russia and China.

Don't pay attention to what they say, but watch what they do.
