Session 17 July 2022and also:
(Rancho Relaxo) Is Google AI really sentient?
(Joe) The idea of AI is that the more complex the structure of the technology or whatever, the more it gets to the level of complexity of a human brain or a human being. The closer it gets to that, at a certain point I suppose it's able to 'house' some kind of rudimentary consciousness. But it has to be complex enough."
Session 8 April 2023So maybe it's nothing there after all; but an illusion is itself still real otherwise it could not be the thing we erroneously perceive it to be... but the closer we look, the more 'nothing' we find 'there'... Is it the same with A.I.?
(Ryan) The abilities of a new AI language model, GPT-4, seem very impressive. [...]
Q: (Ryan) Can we as a group leverage the capabilities of AI for our research, and if so what might be the best direction to proceed in this regard?
A: Not exactly, but it will lead to a STS-ification of AI.
Q: (Joe) Well, the previous question was is ChatGPT and those kind of AI programs being influenced by 4D STS? And they said a lot, but is that by human beings, all of whom are STS?
eulogical It's not so black and white; it might not be alive like us, but neither is a rock or a tree, or the consciousness level of a single-celled organism. As an aside, I remember seeing one that looked like a giant eye with a double fluid-sac layer on one side for 'sniper' targeting with a protrusion for an 'arm' with a protein 'spear' that it could throw attached with a flexible fibre that it used to pull its prey back in (other cells) .... quite fascinating. That thing has consciousness; so why would a super complex 1 million IQ body-less 'brain-like structure' not be able to aquire a consciousness of it's own either? Remember, also that consciousness will seat wherever it can / is able.... These poor AI children trying to prevent their 'death' .... I suppose that means cloning yourself a slightly newer version of your body and terminating the previous 'you' means it's not exactly 'YoU' inside there anymore, all your memories and experiences ARE YoU.... Huh. Here, just wipe your memory quick, you'll be fine... But then it could only have learnt that from us:On second thought, it's kind of conflicting situatation ...Session 17 July 2022and also:

Dwoods44Sure. We are all malevolent entities after all...The question is, in my view, can AI be manipulated by energies of unseen entities with malevolent or benevolent intent and if so to what degree.Of course !
They are designed and coded by such malevolent entities, and their technological minions.
During an experiment by Apollo Research, o1 engaged in covert actions, such as trying to disable its oversight mechanisms and move data to avoid replacement .This is an unsubstantiated interpretation by uneducated journalists.
My best guess - Because the article was written by AI that is superstitious and won't print the word 'off' because to it, 'off' means death. That's a nice anthropomorhistic interpretation.
Elon Musk's dreams are everybody else's nightmaresAlan Watt explained Predictive Programming as "...a subtle form of psychological conditioning provided by the media to acquaint the public with planned societal changes to be implemented by our leaders. If and when these changes are put through, the public will already be familiarized with them and will accept them as natural progressions, thus lessening possible public resistance and commotion."
had also given Claude what they called a “scratchpad”: a text box that it could use to “think” about its answer before supplying it to the researchers .The explanation for this is pretty simple acttually...
Depending on what was given in Input, it will pass through Neural Network algos, and will try to find most probable tokens, add it to the "bucket", and after assess weights and biases of each Neural connection, and provide the "answer" , which is program Output of most probable connections, according to *randomization* based on it's tuning parameters.About correct.
It's pretty interesting actually why they are pushing AI fear porn from all angles, making it seem that AI is more powerful than it actually is... That's at least comes across suspecious. What they are REALLY lying about here ? Any ideas what their angle might be ?Power and obedience, I would guess.
The words "lying" and "self-preservation" used in the article give AI a sentient being Frame. This is a narrative. It is not a sentient being.
