Why is it that Europe has dozens of automobile options for diesel cars and trucks that get better than 50mpg fuel economy, and in the US you can't find a single one? And that's even after all the ridiculous exhaust re-burning required on modern diesels...
Chrysler sold off Vauxhall and then made Vauxhall sign a non-compete which means they can't sell in the US. Meanwhile, the US screams about global warming and pollution and has been promising an average of 30mpg by 2030, and it looks like they are doing the bare minimum to hit that metric when Europe, if you exclude all the older cars that still run fine, exceeded that goal quite a while ago.
Probably the most environmentally friendly cars in the world are those 50+ years old American gas guzzlers that they keep going in Cuba
