I see that it is a ferrous metal and am amazed that it survived as long as it did. The vikings were far more technologically advanced than they are given credit for. I would love to hear more about this blade as it could be Damascus steel. I am a great fan of the Vikings for many many reasons, but that they were a true democracy and held their women equal to men is the top one.
