Pope Francis slams "terrible and unnatural" practice of teaching gender choice to children

Pope Francis has slammed "influential countries" for their "ideological colonization" of societies worldwide, particularly through teaching children they are free to choose their gender, something that the Catholic Church sees as a sin against nature and god.

Reflecting on the idea of gender identity freedom that is being promulgated across the globe, the 79-year-old pontiff termed such approach an "annihilation of man as an image of God."

Francis' remarks that were voiced during a closed-door session with the bishops last week during his trip to Poland. The Vatican released the transcript of the remarks on Tuesday.

He specifically focused on the criticism of educational systems that tolerate and advocate gender choice.

"Today, in schools they are teaching this to children - to children! - that everyone can choose their gender," Francis said, calling such policies "ideological colonizing" supported and funded by "very influential countries."

Without identifying which countries exactly he believes are involved, the Pope blamed textbooks supplied by "persons and institutions who donate money."

Calling such approach "terrible," Francis also said that he had discussed the issue with his predecessor Pope Benedict XVI, who called it a sin against God.

"Speaking with Pope Benedict, who is well, and has a clear mind, he was telling me: 'Holiness, this is the epoch of sin against God the Creator.' He's intelligent! God created man and woman, God created the world this way, this way, this way, and we are doing the opposite," Francis told the Polish bishops. "We must think about what Pope Benedict said - 'It's the epoch of sin against God the Creator.'"

How sad that any child is even remotely confused about the sex it was born into. Our sex is the first and most obvious clue to understanding 'self', which is about who and what we are.

Education has been used as a weapon of 'social engineering' or dictated compliance for a very long time - and in some sense inherently so, because the weaponisation of mind in fear of and against our true nature is part of our social conditioning to some degree or another.

If Man is made in the image of God - then is this a God of Unconditional Love unto a free willingness of acceptance, or a god of wrath to whom partial sacrifice must be made in order to appease and limit from total sacrifice?

If I may use some of the Pope's religious terminology - those whose mind separates them from God - in effect if not in truth, can ONLY teach 'separation' while they are identified and conformed to the mind as if IT were their truth and thus a basis for demonizing the true.

That Life does not consistently or truly fit into any of our models or images of how Life should be - be they mythic, theological or scientific models, is often seen in terms of threat to the truth of a sense of 'saved' or sane identity - and then we equate our own judgements of rejection, invalidation or excommunication- (scripture based or science based) - with "The Truth".

Thus self-image is inherently at war with true nature or Life - and blindly pursues its own validation and reinforcement upon others and upon its world as a 'righteous' sense of necessity and - if you look closely - vengeance. For there is a sense of love lost or power lost that seeks to regain or pay back. The power play for position. The attempt to stamp out in the other what is most hated and heared in the self.

Whilst personality is grown from predilection and cultural exposure, our true identity is not a construct or a manufactured mask - but a unique signature vibration of recognition to which the persona can be aligned - where there is willingness to embrace and embody Life rather than persist under a conceptual dictate to which Life is subordinated and sacrificed of its wholeness and joy.

The assault upon traditional culture is of a global corporatism; strategically enacted, with those on the outer circles enlisted to operate in what they take as good faith as being righteous or just while those in the inmost circles knowingly operating power for its own sake to remake the world in their own image and for their private agenda.

Traditional cultures can be viewed as irrational, superstitious, backward, dangerous and blocks to the progress of 'humanity' in the terms set by a disconnected rationalism of soul-less or loveless thinking - as if such thinking is 'free' of such error and shall make a new world order without according any validity or power to such weaknesses - excepting perhaps as part of a narrative distraction by which to entrain the unwary to their station. However, what has worked to flower human cultures of diverse kinds holds riches of which a merely materialistic sense of power and utility cannot see or even imagine.

Identity is the crux of all crisis for an identity in conflict is an identity seeking power and therefore being rendered powerless by acting from such a lack of foundation. In this sense we each weave a persona or mask as part of who we present and identify ourself to be and to become - and then believe it our self.

We are truly identified in the extending of our true presence - and recognizing such quailities of being in others and our world as one with ourselves. Far from diminishing our uniqueness, this light embraces it - but not as a self-differentiation of better than or worse than.

A lack of presence, a lack of love, a joyless and de-natured society, all lead to the filling of the hollowness of life with every kind of substitute. The real issue is of self-honouring worth that naturally extends to others; not of sexual orientation. Real relationship transcends packaging. The forms of things are NOT the meanings as any trojan exploit or phishing ruse should teach.

Those who support and use 'gender politics' as a trojan to destabilize society are seeking to advance their own power over weakened and conflicted identities, families, societies, nations or cultures. There is to be only the state culture - and that state is to serve an elitist power class.

It wasn’t until Europeans took over North America that natives adopted the ideas of gender roles. For Native Americans, there was no set of rules that men and women had to abide by in order to be considered a “normal” member of their tribe.

In fact, people who had both female and male characteristics were viewed as gifted by nature, and therefore, able to see both sides of everything. According to Indian Country Today, all native communities acknowledged the following gender roles: “Female, male, Two Spirit female, Two Spirit male and Transgendered.”

“Each tribe has their own specific term, but there was a need for a universal term that the general population could understand. The Navajo refer to Two Spirits as Nádleehí (one who is transformed), among the Lakota is Winkté (indicative of a male who has a compulsion to behave as a female), Niizh Manidoowag (two spirit) in Ojibwe, Hemaneh (half man, half woman) in Cheyenne, to name a few. As the purpose of “Two Spirit” is to be used as a universal term in the English language, it is not always translatable with the same meaning in Native languages. For example, in the Iroquois Cherokee language, there is no way to translate the term, but the Cherokee do have gender variance terms for ‘women who feel like men’ and vice versa.”

The “Two Spirit” culture of Native Americans was one of the first things that Europeans worked to destroy and cover up. According to people like American artist George Catlin, the Two Spirit tradition had to be eradicated before it could go into history books. Catlin said the tradition:

“... Must be extinguished before it can be more fully recorded.”

However, it wasn’t only white Europeans that tried to hide any trace of native gender bending. According to Indian Country Today, “Spanish Catholic monks destroyed most of the Aztec codices to eradicate traditional Native beliefs and history, including those that told of the Two Spirit tradition.” Throughout these efforts by Christians, Native Americans were forced to dress and act according to newly designated gender roles.

One of the most celebrated Two Spirits in recorded history was a Lakota warrior aptly named Finds Them And Kills Them. Osh-Tisch was born a male and married a female, but adorned himself in women’s clothing and lived daily life as a female. On June 17 1876, Finds Them And Kills Them gained his reputation when he rescued a fellow tribesman during the Battle of Rosebud Creek. An act of fearless bravery. In Native American cultures, people were valued for their contributions to the tribe, rather than for masculinity or femininity. Parents did not assign gender roles to children either, and even children’s clothing tended to be gender neutral. There were no ideas or ideals about how a person should love; it was simply a natural act that occurred without judgement or hesitation.

Without a negative stigma attached to being a Two Spirit, there were no inner-tribal incidents of retaliation or violence toward the chosen people simply due to the fact that individuals identified as the opposite or both genders.

“The Two Spirit people in pre-contact Native America were highly revered and families that included them were considered lucky. Indians believed that a person who was able to see the world through the eyes of both genders at the same time was a gift from The Creator.”

Religious influences soon brought serious prejudice against “gender diversity,” and so this forced once openly alternative or androgynous people to one of two choices. They could either live in hiding, and in fear of being found out, or they could end their lives. Many of whom did just that.

Imagine a world where people allowed others to live freely as the people nature intended them to be..without harm..without persecution..without shame. Imagine a world where we are truly free.

No, that's your sex

One's gender identity however is a different matter. Your are conflating physical sex and gender identity when the reality is they are two quite different aspects.

In 99+% of people physical sex and gender identity map in the way one might expect: people in male bodies feel like males and those in female bodies feel like females.

For a minority though physical sex and gender identity do not map in the typical way, and therein lies a deep, difficult, lifelong dilemma and psycho-endocrinological-spiritual conundrum.

The 'remedies' are few, costly, taxing and an only partial 'fix'; one not generally well accepted in the 'modern' binary-thinking populace. In the main the western mind don't grok much at all, all pot-bound within its own belief structures as it all too typically is . . .

In older, more sophisticated cultures we typically see rather better understandings . . .
