Obama and crew just cannot move past this whole "Assad must go" nonsense.
They could not oust him as President of Syria with their paid fighters; so the next best thing is to slap sanctions on Assad and Syria and hope that curbs their fight.
One would think, that given the disregard the Russians portrayed when being sanctioned, that installing sanctions on a Russian backed country will not work. This surely will not benefit the millions of refugees, most to whom were displaced by America and NATO, in returning to their homeland and just reinforces the worlds view to Washington's uncontrollable narcissistic mentality.
This new stand over tactic only increases the putrid smell of desperation on the part of Kerry and Obama.
