"We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both." ~Justice Louis Brandeis~
"Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone." ~John Maynard Keynes~
"We grudge no man a fortune which represents his own power and sagacity, when exercised with entire regard to the welfare of his fellows.... So it is with us. We grudge no man a fortune in civil life if it is honorably obtained and well used. It is not even enough that it should have gained without doing damage to the community. We should permit it to be gained only so long as the gaining represents benefit to the community. This, I know, implies a policy of a far more active governmental interference with social and economic conditions in this country than we have yet had, but I think we have got to face the fact that such an increase in governmental control is now necessary." ~Teddy
Roosevelt~
"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." ~JFK~
The news media, even RT, has a tendency to hold back on the most important component of modern life below the totally spiritual components: Criminal insanity.
There is what we might term a "wall of fire" between willing or grudging acquiescence to being raped, pillaged and plundered and sufficient spiritual, moral and ethical integrity to say, "I've had enough!" And walking though that wall involves confronting, understanding, and learning how to handle criminal insanity.
If even a certain portion of the population (10% is a popular figure) were to become relatively certain that the deepest most deplorable criminal mind could be disarmed and deactivated, then an answer to this problem might appear on the horizon.
On this show, this particular commentator favors a defiant approach. Why agree to repay money that was "loaned" to your government under false pretenses and without the full informed consent of the governed? But as long as the criminals can convince us that the loans they made to our governments were legitimate and legally binding, we have no recourse except to turn our backs on the rule of law, which has been our only real protection.
To defy them either directly or by some other means - in the absence of higher intervention - is going to take an adroitness that is seldom seen on this planet.
In every story I have ever read where human freedom prevailed, it involved the location of the oppressor's Achilles heel and then using their own technology to set up a situation where the "good guys" could choose to turn tables on the criminals if they so desired.
So far, the only "weapon" I have located that might help us is - laughter.
If I find any others I will let everyone know.
