US: Herman Cain - God told me to run, 'I was like Moses'

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain says that he was shocked when God told him to run for president.

"Before President Obama took office, I never even conceived or thought of running for president," Cain told a group of Young Republicans in South Carolina Saturday. "It was only after he took office and I saw his arrogant disregard for the American people that I know that I had to do what I could do. ... That when I prayed and prayed and prayed. I'm a man of faith. I had to do a lot of praying for this one."

"And when I finally realized that it was God saying that this is what I needed to do, I was like Moses: 'You've got the wrong man, Lord. Are you sure?'"

Here is an example of a narcissist. Cain goes for the Christian Card to save himself from the mortar of his past. What a statement to make. Why not make such a statement in the beginning? It only means you did some shrooms too and went up on a mountain claiming self righteousness...

No need to rush on this one: Herman Cain isn't running anything except a campaign. There's plenty more to this story to unfold. The most important thing to look for, politically, is whom he chooses to surround himself with. What feather does he flock to, and will he turn his back on significant figures in his past, keeping in mind the video above, as certain others have done?

blatantly false... herm ran in 2000 for prez and 2004 for senator... of course that god gal didn't like him then or tell him then, and certainly doesn't like him now... he's a serial liar, to the point of pathological... and for good measure, a pompous ass

what's easy for the herm though, is this... when he stated that he never thought of running for prez, he was speaking to a group of 'young republicans', who are as misguided and non-thought provoking a group as any in politics

I walked on water after drinking some mushroom tea and watched nature disintegrate then regenerate then stepped inside paintings. I thought about how I would write down this experience and realized a cult would borrow on it and turn me into a prophet or be burned at the stake. Recent studies have concluded that hallucinogenics were commonly used in the days of antiquity as well as opiates and marijuana. Those wacky Mormons formed from one of these prophets and now oppress the very thing that created it. The Holy Bible is filled with hallucinations and dreams. But, back to the subject on hand: Herman Cain and the mentally disturbed...enough said.

C's right again.

The Bush regime hasn't really changed, just the color of the skin on the puppet leading the show, and now it seems Cain has the ole Bush Jr routine of 'being on a mission from God' and he seems to come with his own Blues Brothers soundtrack as well. Go figure, who says 'God' doesn't have a sense of humor?
