A Chinese teenager was born with six fingers and toes on each hand and foot, China's Xinhua news agency said on Thursday.

Hao Hao, 16, who weighs in at a hefty 135 kilograms (297 lbs), says his extra digits do not interfere with his life and he runs and climbs trees like any ordinary teenager.

However, his extra fingers mean he has difficulty holding a pen and has been unable to continue his education.

The Chinese teenager is not the first to be born with extra limbs. An Indian boy Devendra Harne was born with 25 digits - six fingers on each hand, six toes on one foot and seven on the other. Guinness World Records declared him to have the "Most Fingers and Toes" on a living person.

An 11-year-old Chinese girl, Ren Xin, was dubbed "angel girl" after being born with a third arm growing from her back. A two-year-old Indian girl Lakshmi born with four arms and four legs underwent a 27-hour operation to remove her extra limbs.
