Paint color is only one part of the problem. If the lights in the room are too red, the pink will increase aggression. In advertising, and even in grocery stores, its the color of the lights that makes food look better to the eye. Just painting a wall a different color is not enough. Depending on the saturation of the purple used on the doors and bars, it could make the pink appear to vibrate, defeating the purpose of trying pink in the first place.
