how do we know if the dog didn't start the fire?
Let's see...who benefits from this? The dog who's getting the attention and the victim is the cat got her tail burned.
It's quite interesting situation here.
The dog saves the man's life, he's a hero whether the he or the cat started the fire.
Dog's can't plot and plan like the Mossad, so he's got no way of knowing the results of his actions. Thus even if he started the fire, it wasn't intentional and savin the man's life is still praise-worthy.
