Signs & portents: Tribes honor the birth of a rare white buffalo calf in Yellowstone on June 4 and reveal its name: Wakan Gli

In a gathering near a picturesque lake outside Yellowstone National Park, hundreds of people cheered Wednesday as a Native American leader spoke the name revealed on a painted hide for a rare white buffalo that was born in the park earlier this month: Wakan Gli, which means "Return Sacred" in Lakota.

The moment marked the highlight of a Native American religious ceremony to commemorate the calf's birth that also featured dancing, drumming, singing and the retelling of how a mysterious woman brought a message of reassurance during hard times.

Earlier this month, the white buffalo calf was born in Yellowstone National Park's vast and lush Lamar Valley, where huge, lumbering bison graze by the hundreds in scenes reminiscent of the old American West.

To the several tribes who revere American bison — they call them "buffalo" — the calf's appearance was both the fulfilment of sacred prophesy and a message to take better care of the Earth.

As many as 125 Atlantic white-sided dolphins became stranded Friday on Cape Cod and at least 10 died, prompting an intensive rescue effort, according to an animal rescue organization.

The International Fund for Animal Welfare confirmed it was assisting the dolphins stuck at The Gut — or Great Island — in Wellfleet, at the Herring River in Massachusetts. The group described the area as a very difficult location with dangerous mud.

With low tide at 11:23 a.m., the team was in shallow water on foot attempting to herd the dolphins back out to deeper waters, the group said. The organization has three small vessels in the water to continue herding and is using underwater pingers to urge the dolphins in the right direction.

Baffling beach mystery in Florida as dozens of birds show up dead or sick

Veterinarians say the birds usually spend their lives on the water

Michael O'Meally said he's seen several dead birds wash up along shores at Marineland.

"When there is a storm at sea, the winds mess with the way they fly. The rough water messes with the way they can eat. So they wash up here exhausted," said O'Meally.

O'Mealley and several other beachgoers say it's normal to see a few dead birds wash up after every storm, but now those numbers are growing.

"Our current number within the last 48-72 hours has been 76. So that's a lot," said veterinarian April Geer with Florida Wildlife Hospital.

Geer said they're receiving dozens of birds daily.

How they'll make us eat ze bugs

Eat Ze Bugs
© ericpetersautos.com
Well, now we know how they are going to get us to eat ze bugs - and (they hope) take the drugs. They are going to use the excuse of "containing" the bird flu to kill the birds - chickens - and cattle, too. In this way, they'll have succeeded in reducing the "emissions" of carbon dioxide emanating from the animals we eat - without having to convince us to stop eating meat.

There just won't be any to eat.

Not for us, that is. The "elite" - as the agglutinators of power who like to use it to control others like to think of themselves - will have all they can eat. Just the same as they have and will continue to have private jets and 10,000 square-foot homes with thousands-of-gallons of liquid hydrocarbon fuels on hand to power their homes and keep their meat cool in the Viking 'fridges they've got that most of us can't afford - and cook their meat on gas ranges they've decided we're not going to be allowed to have.

Nikola Tesla

Evil can be ingenious. Or at least, devilishly clever. It's an important distinction. The ingenious invent things that change things for the better; Nikola Tesla is an example of an ingenious man. Elon Musk is an example of a clever man. He knows how to game the system - using Tesla's name. Tesla understood alternating current and developed practical uses for it it that included literally lighting up the world.

The next clever thing is the same old thing - again. Another "pandemic" - only this time one that requires killing-off poultry flocks and cattle herds rather than staying six feet apart and wearing "masks" to "stop the spread" - though no doubt those things will be back again, too. They are necessary props for the success of the theater. There will be "testing" - so as to generate "cases" - which will be used to impose "masking" - all the rest of it, again.

Just in time for the almost-here-selection, again.
