Eleven years later, we are still at war. Bullets, mortars and drones are still extracting payment. Thousands, tens of thousands, millions have paid in full. Children and even those yet to be born will continue to pay for decades to come.

On a single day in Iraq last week there were 29 bombing attacks in 19 cities, killing 111 civilians and wounding another 235. On Sept 9th, reports indicate 88 people were killed and another 270 injured in 30 attacks all across the country. Iraq continues in a seemingly endless death spiral into chaos. In his acceptance speech for the Democratic nomination for President, Obama claimed he ended the war in Iraq, well... not quite.

The city of Fallujah remains under siege. Not from U.S. troops, but from a deluge of birth defects that have plagued families since the use of depleted uranium and white phosphorus by U.S. forces in 2004. No government studies have provided a direct link to the use of these weapons because no government studies have been undertaken, and none are contemplated.

Dr. Samira Alani, a pediatric specialist at Fallujah General Hospital, told Al Jazeera, "We have all kinds of defects now, ranging from congenital heart disease to severe physical abnormalities, both in numbers you cannot imagine. There are not even medical terms to describe some of these conditions because we've never seen them until now." The photographs are available on line if you can bear to look at what we have wrought. George W. Bush will loudly proclaim his "Pro-life" bona fides, and he'll tell you he believes "that every child, born and unborn, ought to be protected in law and welcomed into life." Apparently, "every child" doesn't apply to the children of Fallujah, and the "law" doesn't apply to George W. Bush.

Tourists treating 9/11 Memorial like a playground

They're treating it like a national playground.

At the National September 11th Memorial, tourists balance coffee cups and soda bottles on the parapets bearing the names of the dead.

Parents hoist their children to sit on the bronze plaques, while other visitors splash water from the two waterfalls onto their faces to cool themselves on a hot summer day.

On the plaza, tourists break out lunch foods and lie on their backs.

A year after the memorial's opening, the almost-cheerful atmosphere at what was supposed to be a solemn site has appalled first responders and victims' families.

Former Navy SEAL Matt Bissonnette is going to tell his version of events surrounding the death of Osama bin Laden, even if the Pentagon sues him for every last penny.

Last night, the Defense Department's top attorney wrote a letter to Bissonnette threatening to use "all remedies legally available" against him for the publication of No Easy Day, his firsthand account of the mission to kill bin Laden in Pakistan. "You are in material breach and violation of the nondisclosure agreements you signed," wrote Pentagon general counsel Jeh Charles Johnson. The letter hinted at a criminal prosecution of Bissonnete for disclosing classified information and threatened to seize the royalties from his book and go after his publisher Dutton, an imprint of Penguin Group. In a written response, a lawyer representing Bissonnette denied his client breached his nondisclosure agreement in a letter to the Pentagon. (The letter, obtained by The Atlantic Wire, refers to Bissonnette under his pen name Mark Owen.)

"Mr. Owen sought legal advice about his responsibilities before agreeing to publish his book and scrupulously reviewed the work to ensure that it did not disclose any material that would breach his agreements or put his former comrades at risk," wrote Robert D. Luskin, an attorney at D.C. lobbying behemoth Patton Boggs. "Mr. Owen is proud of his service and respectful of his obligations. But he has earned the right to tell his story."

Washington -- The Pentagon formally warned a former Navy SEAL who has written a first-person account of the May 2011 raid that killed Osama bin Laden that he has violated his signed agreement not to divulge classified information, and threatened him with legal action.

"In the judgment of the Department of Defense, you are in material breach and violation of the non-disclosure agreements you signed," Pentagon General Counsel Jeh Johnson said Thursday in a letter addressed to Mark Owen, the pen name of author Matt Bissonnette.

The letter says the Pentagon is considering "all legal remedies available to us." Officials said they could include a lawsuit aimed at claiming profit from Bissonnette's book, No Easy Day. Due to be released next week, it is already on bestseller lists.

Bissonnette did not submit the book to the Pentagon to undergo a review for classified information, even though the requirement to do so was contained in a non-disclosure agreement he signed in 2007, Johnson said in the letter.

The account is the first by a member of SEAL Team Six, which carried out the stealthy nighttime assault on Bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

Business Insider: The former Marine who was detained by the federal government over Facebook posts critical of the government is being held in a psychiatric ward, Peter Bacqué of the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.

"I'm currently in John Randolph in the psychiatric ward being held against my will," Brandon Raub said in a telephone interview with the Times-Dispatch. "[Authorities] were concerned about me calling for the arrest of government officials."

Raub noted that he has been raising questions about 9/11 and signed a petition to reopen investigation of the terrorist attacks.

According to Raub's mother, authorities from the FBI, Secret Service and Chesterfield County PD came to their door on Thursday evening, questioned Raub about his Facebook posts, then handcuffed him and placed him in a Chesterfield PD squad car before taking him directly to John Randolph Psychiatric Hospital in Hopewell, Va.

Raub, 26, has not been arrested. Both FBI Richmond spokeswoman Dee Rybiski and Secret Service Washington spokesman Max Milien said that there are no charges against Raub.

In back-to-back interviews on the Gary Null Show and the Tommy Schnurmacher Show, Gerald Celente sees another mega geopolitical quake to match the shock-and-awe of 9-11 in America's not-too-distant future.

"I'm worried about the drumbeats of war getting louder and louder," Celente told CJAD talk show host Tommy Schumacher, Monday. "It's coinciding, as well, with the economic collapse that's happening throughout Europe."

Celente went on to say that, when sociopath and psychopath politicians get into trouble with their constituents due to a poor economy, those pols, who can divert the public's attention away from the nation's financial problems and redirect the collective anger toward the threat of an outside enemy, will use their power to take that nation to war at a politically advantageous time.

"It's reaching a critical mass right now, and I haven't felt this way since December 14, 2000," said Celente, and noted that he senses desperation in the voice and actions of Israel's, Benjamin Netanyahu, the present and very unpopular prime mister in that Mideast country. "I have that feeling now" with Netanyahu, said Celente.

"This guy, Netanyahu, he has 60 percent disapproval rating right now, and I've seen it before," Celente continued. "I remember Bill Clinton, you know, wag the dog. Every time he'd get into trouble with Monica Lewinsky, it was bomb over Baghdad. They continually do this."

After wavering earlier this summer whether to remain in the U.S. or flee from a "fascist" dictatorship shaping up in America, the 65-year-old Celente told InfoWars' talk show super-star personality, Alex Jones, that he will not allow a "bunch of freaks" in Washington chase him out. Celente said he will stay and fight.

But the personal struggle on this question continues to weigh heavily on his mind.

Lawmakers will adjourn for a summer break without passing a cyber security bill which legislators warned is imperative to pass due to an "imminent threat" of more sophisticated cyber attacks facing the country.

In recent days the Obama administration ratcheted up the fear, warning that without this legislation the nation's security is at risk, vulnerable to a far-reaching cyber attack, a sentiment echoed throughout this week's debate in the Senate.

"We don't want a cyber 9/11," Sen. Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., said, "right now, our adversaries are watching us. We're debating, protecting America from cyber attacks, and it looks like we're doing nothing, that when all is said and done, more gets said than gets done. Our adversaries don't have to spy at us. They can just look at the senate floor and say 'what the heck are they doing'?"

But today the legislation failed to move through a procedural vote in the senate by a vote of 52-46. The bill would have established security standards to prevent cyber attacks on control systems and cyber systems that control the nation's electric supply, financial transactions, transportation system and telecommunications system.

The USS Somerset - the last of three Navy ships named for 9/11 attack sites - was christened Saturday in honor of the passengers and crew of the plane that crashed before terrorists could reach their intended target.

Passengers of United Airlines Flight 93 stormed the cockpit and thwarted an attack on Washington, but the plane crashed in Somerset County, Pa., killing all 40 passengers and crew members.

"The men and women of Flight 93 ... thought they were going to San Francisco to work, to play, to learn; to live their lives in peace while others guarded them," said Navy Rear Adm. David Lewis. "Instead they found themselves in a war, on the front lines, in the opening battle. It was a new kind of war, one with new rules, maybe no rules at all. They had no preparation, no training, no guidance.

"And they performed superbly."

Comment: If you haven't seen 911 Loose Change, then you probably have been living in a cave. There are mountains of 911 related video's all over the net. But what about the history of such events? There is a history of false flag events going back even to ancient Rome and beyond..
