While the scientific establishment has spent decades chasing invisible particles that never quite show up, a leading cosmologist has dropped a theory that turns everything on its head: dark matter isn't some exotic new particle. It could be ancient black holes that survived from an entirely different universe.

This idea, laid out by Professor Enrique Gaztanaga of the University of Portsmouth, doesn't just tackle one cosmic puzzle. It offers a clean fix for the Big Bang's thorniest problems and lines up with fresh observations that have astronomers scrambling.

Gaztanaga argues the elusive substance that makes up roughly 27 per cent of the universe's mass may actually be "relic" black holes formed in a previous collapsing phase of the cosmos.

Donald Trump's threat to sue the BBC for one billion dollars is yet another fake division intended to prop up the make-believe "sides" in the political debate.

That's the short version. Here's the backstory.

Last month, the BBC's flagship anthology documentary series Panorama aired an episode on the January 6th "insurrection" which "accidentally" edited together two speeches by Donald Trump, making it seem he explicitly ordered people to attack the Capitol (he did no such thing, but that's old news).

Under public pressure from the Trump administration, the BBC have now admitted the "error" and both the Director General Tim Davie and news CEO Deborah Turness have resigned.

Now, President Donald Trump is threatening to sue the BBC for $1billion unless there is a full retraction and apology by Friday, the 14th of November.

This has spurred British pundits and politicians alike to jump to the defence of the BBC, repeating age-old nonsense about being perceived as "biased against both sides":

The New York Times' Maureen Dowd writes today:
In a documentary soon to appear on Showtime, "The World According to Dick Cheney," [Cheney said] "I got on the telephone with the president, who was in Florida, and told him not to be at one location where we could both be taken out." Mr. Cheney kept W. flying aimlessly in the air on 9/11 while he and Lynn left on a helicopter for a secure undisclosed location, leaving Washington in a bleak, scared silence, with no one reassuring the nation in those first terrifying hours.

"I gave the instructions that we'd authorize our pilots to take it out," he says, referring to the jet headed to Washington that crashed in a Pennsylvania field. He adds: "After I'd given the order, it was pretty quiet. Everybody had heard it, and it was obviously a significant moment."

When they testified together before the 9/11 Commission, W. and Mr. Cheney kept up a pretense that in a previous call, the president had authorized the vice president to give a shoot-down order if needed. But the commission found "no documentary evidence for this call."
In other words, Cheney pretended that Bush had authorized a shoot-down order, but Cheney now admits that he never did. In fact, Cheney acted as if he was the president on 9/11. *

Last night, I wrote about the 9/11 attack on the twin Towers in New York, comparing it to Israel's attack on Gaza. Gaza is 9/11 many times over - many times worse.

Both are "terrorism".

But why is Gaza worse? .

Scale

The first point is scale. Only 3000 people, a little fewer, lost their lives on 9/11.

Israel by contrast has killed somewhere between 70,000 and the hundred thousand people in Gaza - not counting the people he has killed in Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Yemen, and now Qatar.

Symbolism

The 9/11 attack was largely symbolic-- focusing on the US's preeminent symbol of power and hegemony, it was carried out with very limited resources and focused on a target whose vulnerabilities the attackers were well aware of after their attempted bombing in 1993. The World Trade Towers were built in 1960 standards-- but a lot of things had changed.

Still, the hijackers could not have expected the towers to collapse in the way they did-- which was the result of engineering for a different era.

The replacement for the World Trade Center has been built differently — drawing on the lessons of 9/11. Had the original been engineered in this way, there would've been far fewer casualties, likely only those at the point of impact, the top floors.

But,as I have mentioned. the goal of the "terrorists" was not massive casualties, as occurred due to engineering flaws that could not have been anticipated, but rather a message of defiance - the symbolism of an airliner crashing into the top floors.

This was not an act of war as much as it was a declaration of another people's desire to throw off the yoke of neocolonial control.

Palestine had shown that protests and banners get you nowhere - and negotiations lead to further oppression. I am not trying to justify terrorism, bombings, killings and the like-- nor the toxic ideology of groups like Al Qaeda, which had been nurtured by the US. But looking at things objectively you can see the logic.

Yesterday, Israel conducted strikes on the Qatari capital city of Doha, allegedly targeting (and supposedly killing) key members of the Hamas leadership.

An unprovoked attack in direct violation of another nation's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Textbook breaking of international law.

This is not unusual. Israel's contempt for international law is nothing new and is far from under-reported.

The wrinkle is the response from world leaders, which has been somewhat chillier than you'd expect.

The attacks were roundly criticised by puppets the world over - Canada's Mark Carney, Britain's Keir Starmer, Australia's Albanese, France's Macron and more.

In her State of the Union address, EU Chief Ursula von der Leyen warned the EU should "consider our bilateral support" for Israel.

Even Donald Trump's White House distanced themselves from the plan, which is as close to a full repudiation as you'll get from that quarter.

Earlier in the week, the Spanish government announced they were closing their airspace and naval ports to any planes or boats carrying weapons to Israel.

Expressing anti-Israel sentiment is becoming more and more common on a political stage where support for Palestine was once purely the domain of Cuba, Venezuela and other designated "enemies" of The West.

Israel is responding by doubling down, unleashing further strikes - this time on Yemen - earlier today.

Comment: We can always hope, but from where we're sitting, Israel's power appears to be unlimited. Like, literally. There's no power on Earth that can stop them. We shall see...

Tuesday, September 11, 2001, was a non-teaching day for me. I was home in Massachusetts when the phone rang at 9 A.M. It was my daughter who lived and worked in New York City and was on a week's vacation with her future husband. "Turn on the TV," she said. "Why?" I asked. "Haven't you heard? A plane hit the World Trade Tower."

I turned the TV on and watched a plane crash into the Tower. I said, "They just showed a replay." She quickly corrected me, "No, that's another plane." And we talked as we watched in horror, learning that it was the South Tower this time.

Sitting next to my daughter was my future son-in-law; he had not had a day off from work in a year. He had finally taken a week's vacation so they could go to Cape Cod. He worked on the 100th floor of the South Tower. By chance, he had escaped the death that claimed 176 of his co-workers. My father's good friend, retired from a NYC job and living in Pennsylvania, had a one-day-a-month consultancy job at the Twin Tower. Tuesday the 11th was his day to die in the North Tower.

That was my introduction to the attacks.

Woman killed, man injured in dog attack in north St. Louis, Missouri

A woman was left dead and a man was injured Wednesday night after being attacked by several dogs in north St. Louis.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday night on the 5900 block of Theodore Avenue in the Walnut Park West neighborhood of north St. Louis, involving a husband and wife.

SLMPD spokesperson Mitch McCoy says officers were initially called to the scene for reports of shots fired but as authorities were in route, the call was updated to a call for help and that a woman was being attacked by multiple dogs in their backyard.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the couple being bit by the dogs and the husband attempting to save his wife from the attack.

Police say officers used pepper spray on the dogs to stop them from attacking and immediately provided aid to the woman by applying tourniquets due to multiple severe bites. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead, McCoy says. The man involved in the attacks suffered from non-life-threatening injuries.

According to McCoy, three dogs were seized at the scene. The investigation is still ongoing.

One such article, that is frequently referenced by certain '9/11 researchers' was authored by a member of the forum at the "Above Top Secret" (ATS) website. Interestingly, the article was written just a few weeks after the release of the Pentagon Strike Flash animation, which by then, was winging its way around the world and into the inboxes of millions of ordinary citizens. I have cited my late friend "Mick" Trainor's words elsewhere, and kept them in mind since he said them to me in the late 1980s.They ought to be graven in granite in the minds of everyone of good heart in public life. They are also an indictment of the "9/11 Truth" movement as a whole, which tried to speak the truth about this atrocity to the people as well as to those in power, but increasingly lied to itself about the effect it was having. It finally ended in complete failure, lacking only a decent funeral oration.

An Overview

It gives me no pleasure at all to write these words. I personally came to the movement late in 2009, then met many excellent people and worked with many fine editors at a time when overt censorship was still minimal. The best of the "Truthers" shared one thing in common: they were right that the US Government explanation of the 9/11 attacks was singularly flawed, in whole and in all its major parts. But they - and I include myself here - were never able to convey that message in a politically significant way to enough of the American public to matter.

The net effect is that despite innumerable articles, speeches, seminars, videos, protests and the like by tens of thousands of activists, the 20th anniversary of 9/11 came and went with barely a whimper. It was preceded by the collapse of the 9/11 lawyers effort in New York City on which so many had staked their hopes, and the dismissal of Richard Gage - the founder of the seminal "Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth" - from his own organization by his own board. It is tragic enough when evil triumphs, which is what the real planners and perpetrators of 9/11 did. It is even worse when the collapse of the efforts to expose them and to bring them to justice ends in farce.
